>British intelligence outing deployment and testing of Su-57s >the source they have for this is not their spy satellites, or the spy satellites of the US >it's fricking Digital Globe
You're now aware that in the 1980s, when the F-117 was still in deep cover, the aircraft were stored in hangars or under erectable shelters with A-4s placed around to make it look like a normal military base. The USAF/NRO would tell the unit to move their F-117s inside whenever a Soviet satellite flew overhead. To the best of public knowledge, the USSR never saw through this facade, never tasked spy satellites to observe the base more closely, and never tasked spies with getting jobs at the base or getting imagery/data from it.
Getting a fringe or different hair style is normal, doing it in the bathroom while you cry your eyes out after throwing your phone down a flight of stairs isn't. That girl has the fringe of the latter, not former.
>MOD gives picture to digitalglobe >references own picture from digital globe >tards think the newspaper has their own spy satellite and have their minds blown
What the frick are you talking about? People figured out Trump posted a classified image on twitter within minutes from basic deduction (wait, why does he have a printed out photo of a commercial satellite photo? why is it such high quality?), hours from open source investigation (why is it at an odd angle? why is it that any photo taken from that angle had to be taken by a high altitude spy plane over iranian territory or a satellite?) and about a day from open source investigation continuing and admissions from the government (there was only one imagery capable satellite in that position at that time and it was an NRO satellite, US government officials admitting it was leaked).
It's literally easier to just take the damn photo from a commercial imagery company. It's enough resolution to identify the Su-57 and you don't need to risk releasing classified material.
patriots wont come into use for months to come
im confused as to why the taxpayer was forced to supply them, it is cost inefficient to shoot down russias powerful but cheaply missiles and drones, while it is likely incapable of targetting russias best fighter bombers and strategic bombers due to their proximity.. and what happens if patriot does somehow fire a missile into russian airspace? the escalation would cause a disturbing scare in the collective west
with kalibr 500kg he or thermonuclear warhead is frequently operated highly precision cruise missile half the cost of american equivalents.. the destructive power exceeding the subsonic tomahawk, while travling supersonicaly, a missile that has eclipsed western conventional capabilities while maintaining industrial scale.....yes, this is powerful
and yes, patriot is an impressive system, but look at the cost also..with the full idea of capitalism, we see that america resorts to throwing dollars, but in real war conditions, this becomes unsustainable
you dumb fricking subhuman mongol apes have no fricking clue what kind of resources the US has, you simply cannot comprehend it. It would take fricking TRILLIONS for the US to even wince.

>no fricking clue what kind of resources the US has
Vatniks may not like it, but the US is 6 million years ahead in military tech. The US military & government holds the keys to the meaning of life & death, has both friendly & evil alien helpers (ET/FNORD), psychic "remote viewing" spie's, time travel tech, fleets of reverse-engineered antigravity alien tech "TR-3B Black Triangle" flying ship's powered by element 115, communication with ghosts the afterlife & the unborn, triple-barreled M551A666 PsychoSheridan tank's, 75th Rangers exoskeleton-hip-fired gyro-stabilised 120mm infantry mortar's with pinpoint accuracy during 25mph sprint, access to other "parallel" universe's, NSA/DARPA GGGQEP quantum ∞(±6^∀)Petahertz microprocessors to eavesdrop on every single electronic & non-electronic communication in the world even sign language underneath 1km of EMF Kevlar, "Rods from God" (just 1 orbital tungsten telephone pole = two Czar Bombas), the 300,000-strong "Fighting Molemen" U.S. SUBTERRANEAN FORCE, FT LEE VA (the secret "7th branch" existing since 1899), quantum IFVs, "phase-shifting" Armored Recovery Vehicles, new "Stealth" tech that makes jet's invisible to Radar. Shoulder-fired ASAT missiles. Stealth field kitchens. This is publicized in Stargate SG1, scientific research publication Popular Science, only a fraction of the more spooky & shadowy stuff not listed above is merely hinted at in Marvel Cinematic Universe™, history documentary Red Alert 2, time travel documentary Life is Strange (David Madsen was a rogue DIA test subject), but the pardoned parcel is the US of A is at least 6 million years ahead in military tech even without the help of alien's. It is 6 million years ahead though the exact number fluctuates due to the activities of the US Military Time Travel Program underneath Barksdale, A.F.B. , L. A. , this 6 million years ahead is a universally agreed-upon average by the world & intergalactic/ET scientific communities.
There are like 50 kalibrs left at this point. Russia has been flinging them at fricking playgrounds for so long that though they produce them their use outstrips their production
>if russia fires a missile that's fine who cares. big deal >if ukraine fires a missile THAT IS WORLD WAR THREE TOTAL NUCLEAR ARMAGEDDON WE'RE ALLL GONNA FRICKING DIE AHHHHH
Any source for the "Ukraine fires modified M-141 as cruise missiles" other than moronic journalists? The domestic long-ranged drones they showed off were all prop-powered jury-rigged designs.
The original source for that claim was the russian MoD, so take that as you will.
Ukraine has never disclosed the nature of the weapon as far as I know, other than the fact that it's a suicide drone with a range of 1000km (which to be fair, does match the range of the Tu-141). Furthermore, I find it suspicious that no photos of identifiable fragments have been posted anywhere as proof and quite frankly I think it's absurd that a massive subsonic recon drone from the '70s with no ability to safely navigate at low altitude could penetrate the IADS and strike a strategic target deep within the heart of russia, even despite its obvious deficiencies.
It's weird that western media would report the MoD's claims uncritically. It's not unfeasible, but there isn't a shred of evidence, near as I can tell.
>It's weird that western media would report the MoD's claims uncritically
Very few actual criticism nowadays from the MSM, only from (ironically) OSINT twitfeeds
The media game is a race to get clicks and get the word out, any word, covered by weasel words like ALLEGEDLY and REPORTEDLY and ACCORDING TO
While Patriots can engage any air breathing threat, no they won't be used for that. They are to make sure no advanced Russian TBM targets the political leadership in Kiev.
it is possible to state, this patriot is just protection for international top brass, that they make ukraine pay for with lives
I hadnt thought in that way yet, but I believe you are correct.
maybe for the collective west, they have X and Y confused, lol...here this is not the case.

No one has anything to "learn" from Ruscrement. You are not a world power and no one takes you seriously anymore.
I understood you are part of information-operation. I am not participating, thank you, lol. I just talk about weapons, just like this board demands. This is about Patriot, who has to counter low cost weapon like Kalibr, with far more expensive interceptions.. That is the reasonable argument, not your unrelated tangent. I am questioning why not CRAM? the answer is maybe in this other response, the patriot was made to defend international visitors, and the top brass, of course at the cost of ukraine personel and lives

You say the patriot must counter the kalibr, and this is not worthwhile due to the kalibr being cheaper
What you haven't taken into account, is that as a proportional of military budget and industrial capacity, the kalibr costs Russia far more than the patriot, as the west is obscenely wealthier than Russia.

>West has a military budget and production capacity that is essentially infinite >Somehow it is not worth shooting down a crap missile that has a 30% chance of doing considerable damage to a school, hospital or power station, costing vastly more than the interceptor
Anon. We are so rich we bring Burger Kings to Afghanistan. Do you think we care about missiles?
Obviously not. Those planes are a non factor in this conflict. The question is rather how many AAMs Ukraine has left in stock. We are seeing them starting to phase out soviet legacy equipment in favor of western systems. Which substantially prolongs their ability to engage in the kind of attritional warfare this conflict has evolved into. This way Ukraine is able to turn their initial material and industrial capacity disadvantage into an advantage, as they now can draw on stocks and production capabilities from multiple countries. The more they shift to western equipment the better their position becomes. The real bottleneck is not even material, it’s training. But here they also have an advantage now as they can draw on NATOs trainer pool using NATOs training facilities.
tldr: Ukraine can now train more soldiers in a given timeframe than Russia and has bigger stocks and production to draw from.
Using patriots against Air Breathing Targets makes little sense since Ukraine already has s300s and BUKs that can do that. They’ll save the Patriots for ballistic missiles intercepts.
The problem is that even with two batteries, they can’t point the radar to the North, East and South simultaneously. That’s how the Houthis(Iran) caught Saudi Arabia off guard early on. The Saudis had their radar systems pointed towards Iraq/Iran, but the missiles came from Yemen.
Two batteries means they will have sufficient FAAD wire frame coverage for any BMOA that Russian Forces might have that threatens Kiev. Doubtless, Intel suggested that this would have been sufficient for the job or they wouldn't have bothered in the first place.
>thunder run a P941 SSBN through the Bosphoros >near-untraceable submersible launch platform in Black Sea >launch TBMs from Odessa direction >reload at sea via barges near Novorossiysk or Sochi to reduce chances of being hit in port
Unfortunately the only remaining 941 was stripped of its missiles about 20 years ago and was due to be scrapped at the end of 2022. The Bosporus is also only 360 ft at its deepest point and 43ft at it shallowest (a Typhoon is 39 ft tall and would be easily visible when underwater from that depth). As much as I'd love to see it get a nice send-off, it's not going to happen.
The question is how many S300 and Buk are left, how long they are projected to last and what can be done to extend the timeframe by gradually replacing them with western systems you would need to train operators for which takes time.
No idea about S300 but Ukraine was able to mount Sea Sparrows on their BUKs.
There are fricktons of those so shouldn’t be an issue of supply.
Hawks are also coming online with a new improved radar kit so they add to the defense network and operating space of BUK.
They gave them pac-2 missile and old patriot launches, not the newer pac-3 missiles. The US basically just gave ukraine the scraps they had sitting in the back of their closet from the 90s that dont work very well.
T. I work on patriot
Patriots are just a bait.
Ukraine will make a dozen decoys of those and vatniks will waste time/drones/missiles trying to destroy them. The real system will be used when some high value target can be hit
Ah, yes.
The five prototype aircraft. Expensive, irreplaceable and hard to maintain.
Funny to see how Russia has become everything they've always claimed about the West.
No one knows. Just like they don't know how many missiles or tanks they got. Its a great testing environment. So far non got shot down or just failed like the f35 in peacetime.
They aren't nearly stupid enough to fly thejr most modern jets into known SAM rings at this stage in the war. They would likely stay on their side of the border and throw long-range missiles without putting themselves in danger
