Who’s going to be next /k/? Is this the single best selling export IFV of the modern age?

Warriortard thread.
Italy is currently looking for a new IFV, but 95% they’re going for the Lynx or some joint venture
Italy should just quit building tanks and IFV because it's really not our thing. We should focus on copters and boats.
>T.terrone
I don’t think Australia decided yet and idk about the others on the list. I doubt the Swedish one is true
why is it riveted together
those are most likely mounting points for the external armour
It’s been asiaticed together
The absolute state of K/. Korean weapons are becoming absolutely dominant and all you can come up with is muh rivets. No wonder you’re women fantasize about the Korean BVLL
A riveted IFV has never been sunk.
i wonder how that guy is doing
>Australia chose it
We don’t even know that until maybe even march 2023
>Poland chose it
That’s probably true
>Taiwan chose it
Lol, they would rather procure American or Japanese stuff
>Norway might choose it
They have the CV90, doesn’t make any sense
>Sweden looking at supplementing it’s IFVs with it
Doesn’t make any sense because they have the CV90 and the Redback doesn’t replace any role
Sorry man. Norway is evaluating it as we speak. Considering how Norway has already chosen the K2 arty it doesn't seem too farfetched to go for a second SK weapon system.
Okay K9. That one's on me.
Iirc they also see red the k2 tank
>Norway is evaluating it as we speak
lmao
Norway bought new CV90s 5 fricking years ago. stop pulling shit out of your ass
The Norwegian Army is evaluating K2NO or Leopard 2A7, for a decision in late 2022.[114]
What do you need, a personal letter from the defense minister?
This isn't about the MBT selection you absolute mongoloid
Norway hasn’t chosen either tho and it hasn’t been revealed anything regarding the 2A7 vs K2 competition
Can you tell the difference between evaluating and choosing?
"Evaluating" is what we've been doing for the last 1,5 years, including winter trials and reviewing the final offer received last month.
"Choosing" is what we will do based on the evaluation. Should be coming around november/desember
does the Leopard 2A7NO include Rheinmetall APS? Looks like it on that patch
Nah, the APS on the A7 is the Trophy system.
Then I guess Kongsberg are the real morons. Should've read your shitty PrepHole post instead of having inside knowledge about the Norwegian military.

Lmao
Nice english, Ahmed.
Nah, it's just an overly asshurt SEA nogger.
Why are you so keen on defending South Koreans in a South Korean shill thread?
>Why are you so keen on defending South Koreans in a South Korean shill thread?
Why are you so obsessed with spamming such low effort false flag bait threads which have been posted multiple times already? Why have your parents disowned you yet, Armatard?
chose it
>That’s probably true
that's literally false though, they didn't buy a single one, or even a license
Bullshit, Australia hasn’t selected one yet. I’m starting to dislike Koreans
>Australia has selected it
Kek not only have we not made a choice, we're going to reduce the amount we buy to free up billions of dollars
I wish the discussion around that in the public spheres wasn't stupid.
We had economic mismanagement for ten years. Procurement was a corrupt shitshow with everything costing way too much for basic b***h equipment. Even now it's like our small arms contract is a war of attrition against the ADF. Thank frick the signals directorate got a bigger piece of the pie last funding cycle because maybe less bullshit spending will occur. It's a shame that the IFV once again suffers, because that capability was important, and the Redback really does look good and I think the Redback is best placed to be useful within our region. The public discussion of "Why do we need an IFV anyway?/Oh here we go, Labor is SLASHING defence spending!" is such fricking nonsense.
Why do we need an ifv?
We need a navy and an airforce, if we have to use the infantry in defence of Australia it means we’ve already failed and we might as well wait for daddy yankee to bail us out
Picking an IFV with it's factories next to their main potential invader (China) is why I don't think AUS will pick the redback. There's a lot of scenarios where South Korea gets into a pickle with NK, too.
>only pavels forced to buy it
>asiatic shill pavels thread
>hourly
ahahahaha give it up pavel and enjoy your shitty rice box
No.
>XXX
nutted
>Sweden looking at supplementing it’s IFVs with it
Gonna need a source on that, i have heard no such thing about it and it would be moronic to add another IFV when you have a domestic IFV which is better anyway.
t.swede
>when you have a domestic IFV which is better anyway.
It's true and you know it.
It’s a cramped, slow, miniature IFV that uses a moronic 40mm cannon because Sweden had a million of them laying around. It doesn’t mount an ATGM as standard either. Redback is superior in every regard
>moronic 40mm cannon because Sweden had a million of them laying around.
This is what the moronic korea shill still believe despite the fact that you have been time and time again proven that the statement is not true.
No one proved this statement wasn’t true. Sweden put on a dog and pony show competition. In other words they investigated themselves and cleared themselves of all wrong doing.
You’re a moron. No I don’t need proof, you have to prove that you’re not a fricking mong.
This is how you know I won the argument
The armament was evaluated over the course of 6 years and 40mm was chosen for its effects on tanks and airborne targets. I don’t know who tried to start the myth that Sweden had “thousands of 40mm canons lying around but said person is clearly a moron - https://www.ointres.se/projekt_strf90.htm
That wasn’t a real evaluation. It’s just because they had the barrels
Prove it.
Same
The guy who wrote the article was literally one of the project managers for the CV90, i'm gonna trust him more then some korean shill on /k/
>yea we totally did an trial even ask our spokesperson
Nah
>uses a moronic 40mm cannon because Sweden had a million of them laying around
See I wish more countries did shit like that. If you have the kit and it's just a matter of designing a decent turret why the frick not?
you really gona shit on the CV90?
Not even I as a Puma lover would do that
>t. Kraut
No matter how hard you shill, you cannot make me hate Koreans.
It's another asiatic shill pulls shit out of his ass and every other country comes out to call him in his bullshit thread
>tank porn thread
hey b***hes
what's up with all this korean mbt, artillery and ifv shilling? is it just one asiatic spamming it everywhere? not sure what he's trying to achieve, it's just making me dislike koreans.
>it's just making me dislike koreans.
That's the point, which is why I highly doubt he's korean or american. China is terrified of the fact that the US, Japan and Korea are inching closer and closer to a solid trilateral security structure, and I imagine they're absolutely livid that Russia chimping out and now North Korea going back to moronic missile tossing is accelerating that. Nothing helps to bury the hatchet like having three other violent psychopaths making ooga booga noises next door. As a result, China is throwing anything they can at the wall to try and keep the US, Japan and Korea comparatively separate
https://thediplomat.com/2014/02/the-weakest-link-how-china-seeks-to-destabilize-the-us-rok-japan-triangle/
It’s overly nationalistic Koreans or at least it started that way. Korean gear just isn’t very good
There's probably one guy who is actually shilling. But most of us who are interested, are interested because Korea is an outsider doing well in a game where everyone else is same old same old. If Guatemala could offer a damn good AR or Swaziland showed up with a great attack chopper we would be all over that too. Everybody loves an underdog.
>where everyone else is same old same old
What do you mean by this?
The big boy manufacturers of armored vehicles of any type are mainly France, England, Germany, USA and arguably Sweden and Swtizerland. They are all led by people who went to the same universities and are personal buddies with key defense politicians. There's very little exciting about which of them wins the next bidding round and we will not be told who incidentally gets free new apartments in Dubai a year later. Having Korea show up with a serious offer is like having someone from Studio Ghibli showing up in a Belgian drawing contest.
That’s all fan fiction though. Korea isn’t competitive. They have to offer domestic manufacturing and full teach transfer to even register on countries radar. That is another brand of the politics you mentioned in your reply
Combination of typical Asian patriotism by Koreans, yellow fever asiaticlovers from the west, paid Korean gov/hanwha shills (online diplomats), russhits who can now only use Korean stuff to „own“ the west and probably some chinks who try to make Koreans look like overly patriotic homosexuals (which they are but not to such a comical degree)
Look up Korean feminism, their birthrate and %of male virgins
Seethe less, Kim
Cope harder, Mohammed. You'll never be white.
>Taiwan chose it
Taiwanese here
No we fricking didn’t
We didn’t even consider it
most of the armor guys don’t event know it exists
South Korea is not in the business in exporting weapons to Taiwan due to China
chose it
as a replacement for their t-72 fleet kek
Isn't Poland going to produce the Borsuk?
No they are going to build license redbacks for future European customers
Both I believe, kind of what they're doing with the Krab and K9
Show me one source that says Poland is even looking at the redback. Younwont reply to me because there isn’t a source that says that
Ausgay here. OP is wrong on all counts but the redback is being demoed in Poland at the moment. It's literally one of the ones Australia just used in its LAND400 trial.
https://defence24.com/industry/redback-in-poland-coming-soon-hanwha-we-are-ready-for-new-investments
Well now I have egg on my face. It doesn’t look like Poland is looking at the RedBack at all. My apologies
That Poland is trailing these was also mentioned in Australian media: https://www.theaustralian.com.au/special-reports/defence-review-expected-to-delay-decision-on-armys-ifvs/news-story/782877f2ddb6295537337caffbdd1965
Yes.
The defence ministry says the Borsuk will be the "light" IFV because of it's amphibious capabiity (a design requirement for pretty much every vehicle in Poland) and asiaticshit is supposed to be the "heavy" IFV" that does not have this design contstraint.
I've read that their ambitious plans is to have light armored formations with K2 tanks and Borsuk IFVs and heavy armored formations with abrams and redback to offer some "flexibility". I have no idea whether that's a good idea or not, basically just relaying the info I've read on the topic so far.
The defense ministry never said this. Provide a quote
Probably not, pretty sure Ajax alone outweighs all of those. Also Poland has purchased literally every western or western-aligned AFV possible at this point, a sale to them barely counts
