>Instead of designing a brand new striker fired gun from the ground up they just took their shitty P250 and shoved a striker in it.
Why is that bad again? Wait until you hear about how Glock has been selling literally the exact same gun to their cultists for decades.
Glock started out originally as a striker fired gun. They didn’t shoehorn striker fired parts into a giant DAO frame in such a way it wasn’t drop safe and keep revising it until it was literally “good enough”.
What makes legion not worth it? I've been thinking of getting a p320 legion, and saw one for 1k. Why is that too much? I've rented a p320 specre comp and a g17 at a gun range, but the sig felt more comfortable in my hand. Even when I rented a g43 and p365xl the sig felt better in my hand.
The P320 is a $350 gun they are nominally selling at $550. The Legion version is the same thing with an X Carry shaped grip module, a tungsten weight and a lighter trigger pull weight, but is not comparable to other $1,000 gun triggers. You're paying twice what a regular gun costs and 3 times what it's worth for no good reason imo
It's basically all off the shelf stuff, shoved into a gun without giving you the ability to pick which parts you want or why, and you're paying full price for everything. You could buy the basic P320, a $300 tungsten grip module, a $99 Gray Guns flat trigger (which idk why you'd want, it's a preferential shape) and a $15 spring kit and have exactly the same thing. Or you could buy any combination of those and spend less money, as the more expensive each of those things listed is, the bigger diminishing returns it provides. At least with the P22X series Legion guns you are getting milling, checkering and features you cannot buy on regular models.
You can get some classic line legion features on cheaper guns now. The elite line has the undercut done on them, which to me is probably what I like most on those legions.
I think the Xfive legion had it's time when it just came out, but since they've introduced other heavy grip module models, as well as selling the txg grip separately and offering other cheaper models with slide cuts, they've kind of made the Xfive legion a irrelevant as a prebuilt comp gun. It's not legal in some popular match types, and the ones it is legal in it's no longer competitive. There's are some dudes who tried to make theirs into race guns for open. Pretty funny actually.
I think in the end, if it could be found for a good price, I think it's still worth a look at. Just not MAP/MSRP.
Yeah the P320 XFive Legion would be appealing if it cost $700 but the only thing it has that the competition doesn't is the tungsten slug in the grip which I can't see making as much of a difference as a comp or even springs/ammo selection. >It's not legal in some popular match types, and the ones it is legal in it's no longer competitive. There's are some dudes who tried to make theirs into race guns for open.
That's a oof lol
There aren't any other competition oriented strikers around $1,000 are there? I'm thinking of things like the METE and Q5 but they don't cost nearly that much and have better features for the role like more than 1 optic cut and better triggers
Found a p320 on gunbroker with the xgrip, flat face trigger, and night sights for $600. That seems like the best option after hearing what you have to say, but on the otherhand frick it I could just wait a week, and save some money for it. I should probably go rent some more handguns, and different versions to see what I like the best. Side note, it's annoying as shit that sig makes the different parts so expensive.
>make fancy displays >get them into stores >they stand out, which gets them more sales from people
like it or not there are a lot of people who don't know shit about guns yet still buy them, and presentation goes a long way with attracting that kind of person
I doubt there are a lot of those elite dealers that have the full display going on.
no anon, no. Just stop. It's chinesium. You don't get $100 optics with Japanese glass.
I'm not that guy, but SIG Japanese made stuff AFAIK are the Romeo 3 line and the normal Tango 6 line (not the T). Most sig Optics are decent. The only one I laughed at when I saw in stores are the buckmaster stuff. Shit looks and feel like toys. I like my Romeo 4T, but some of their chinese stuff seem fine, like the romeo 5 line. I mean, you know your doing something right if there are counterfeit units of your product around
The same people that shit on them for MIM parts (of which they know nothing about) will buy a Springfield Hellcat or DPMS AR without a second thought. Roughly 5% of the people that shitting on this company are doing so from the high horse of a KAC or HK product.
The rest are positively frothing at the mouth for confirmation bias because something as expensive as a $1000 AR or $300 police trade-in Glock means a significant amount to them, and becomes part of their identity. They need to know that they made the right choice. You see the same behavior among truck guys. It can never be enough that they enjoy the truck, they need to affirm that the truck is noticeably and verifiably better than the market equivalent from a different company. "My Ram is awesome, AND it's BETTER than the Ford"
Never mind that SIG is among a very small minority of companies that actually aims to innovate within its market, instead of just stagnate and/or copy others.
It's the exact same shit that caused Colt to collapse: they get a shitload of military contracts, frick up on the commercial end, and the moment the military cuts ties they become more crippled that Steven Hawking.
Similar shit happened with FN, where it saw some mediocre success which immediately went to its head, and now FN is a complete fricking joke.
Sig is just in the early stages of this cycle of hubris.
Milwaukee policed dept had to recall 500,000 of their pistols because they frickin suck at QC? overpriced government contractor? the richgays that only like them because they're rich and you're not?
AFAIK, septa was the only department to replace 320 after a discharge with glocks right away without waiting for an investigation. Third party investigation from a different department confirmed sigs finding that the gun was fine it it was user error. I actually sounded like they had a deal with glock lined up and had to get sig out of the picture with by using a preexisting issue.
>muh Indian parts

Indian parts aren't really in use anymore I believe. AFAIK, currently sig parts made in India are for maintain the Indian military 716s due to some sort of contract that some parts need to be made in India. MIM parts for general production should now come from the same company, indomim, but from the Texas plant.

Is this how Glocksuckers live? Just bouncing from cope to cope desperately trying to bash anything that isn't their precious 2x4??
I've owned quite a few Glocks of different sizes. I've also owned a couple P320s, a 365,365XL, and an M11-a1.
I liked the SIG pistols better in every way over Glocks (of which I no longer own).
With that said, I only own the 365 now because it is my favorite micro-compact.
CZ makes superior striker fired pistols to both of the aforementioned. If I had a need and a decent priced Sig was available, I'd have to weigh my options between the two companies.
The only justified hate against Sig is that they are slightly overpriced and had a few teething issues with their early 320s. The CEO is a detractor also but the pistol designs when compared to their competition don't deserve the hate.
Pic just for fun: M11-a1 vs P10c (on top) which costs considerably different. I shot better with the cheaper CZ. P229 looks way cooler and had an amazing trigger...but that was all.
Because Ron beat Gaston at his own game. Ron is selling Sig pistols and rifles to governments for pennies on the dollar to get some prestige amongst normie commercial buyers and then when the normies say, "Wow, the US Marines use this pistol! I must have one," and rush to go buy one (or two, or three), Sig charges the normie three times what they're worth.
Most large corporations and all multinationals are corrupt and share board members. This is done to ensure everyone is on the same page - manage pre-planned outcomes, kill competition and enrich themselves.
But this doesn’t happen in weapons and aerospace because these industries have morals and free markets. It’s all so moronic.
TL/DR: Sig is just a peek at what we can expect going forward. Everything is rigged.

It hasn't even been 1 decade. I don't know the conclusion of Eckernforde, they may STILL be making the X series and high end guns in small numbers in Germany.
Hey it's this guy, glad you could make it.
Ay what's up fellow MIM enjoyer
To be fair, so did Remington with the XMP trigger, T/C with the Compass drop safety and CZ with the 600's exploding lol
No sig did a frick up so that means you are supposed to ignore everyone else's frickups
Everybody rightfully shits on Remington what are you talking about
I know but im trying to do sarcasm. Y'know?
Unethical business practices and israeli behavior all around. Treats customers like beta testers.
nig nogger
Success breeds jealousy. Glockgays are still seething after five years.
>get bought out by venture capital group
>everything goes completely to shit
>you coast on by selling absolute fricking junk and rebranded chinese optics, complete destroying your image as a premium pistol brand
>"jealousy"
Even Kimber didn't frick up this bad.
Funny how Sig is so shitty and yet Glock still lost to them.
The military also adopted the M14 and other dumb shit like ACU, Bradley fighting vehicle, etc etc.
>bradley
based moron thinking Hollywood is real life
1k hours is six weeks dude, how is your life that you can't change out a 25 cent battery (2032) every six weeks?
Why did Glock drop their lawsuit against sig after the competition? Is it any coincidence how not only did sig win the pistol contract, but also the rifle, lmg, and sub gun contracts too? A lot of deals made behind closed doors I'm sure. I'd be one thing if they won one or two, but ALL?!?
>it's a conspiracy if the military adopts more than one thing from the same manufacturer
Wait until you hear about Colt.
The israeliteiest israelite israeliteery of israelitey israelitewes that ever israeliteedsrdvvy
>Hating on the ACU
How? Or are you one of those old fricks who calls UCP camo ACU?
Beretta deserved the contract
I like the M9, but I understand why the military wanted to upgrade to a polymer strikershit handgun that even the dumbest grunt can figure out how to use in a couple of minutes.
>rebranded Chinese optics
Like Vortex, Holosun, Burris, etc?
You do realize that every optics manufacturer outside of Schmidt and Bender gets their glass from the same distributor in Japan right? And most of the enclosures come from either Japan, the Philippines, Korea, or China?
no anon, no. Just stop. It's chinesium. You don't get $100 optics with Japanese glass.
Now use your optic for more than 50 hours and actually wear/use your shitty frame and have your gun dropped and it kill you unironically.
>optic
That's a Deltapoint Pro
>frame
Can be replaced with another $50 OEM frame shipped to my home without the need for an FFL if it ever somehow wears out or gets damaged
>le drop safe meme
Was never an issue on the M17, which has a manual safety anyway. Seethe, cope, dilate, etc. etc.
>B-but some cops somewhere said theirs went off after they had a negligent discharge due to poor training- WAIT I MEAN THEY DROPPED IT ON THE FLOOR
I know it's a Delta Point, hence I said optic going out. 1000 hours vs 17000 hours on an RMR. But I'm sure you would know that if you actually owned handguns with optics.
You wouldn't need to replace the frame if it wasn't shitty checkered skateboard grip anyway.
M17 is the same gun lmao, they literally just changed the connectors out to be more drop safe, they never changed the design of the gun.
>I know it's a Delta Point, hence I said optic going out. 1000 hours vs 17000 hours on an RMR. But I'm sure you would know that if you actually owned handguns with optics.
Luckily I can afford to replace a battery one per year since I'm not a poorgay.
>You wouldn't need to replace the frame if it wasn't shitty checkered skateboard grip anyway.
Better than taking a soldering iron to my gun like glockgays are famous for doing.
>M17 is the same gun lmao, they literally just changed the connectors out to be more drop safe, they never changed the design of the gun.
Glock hasn't changed the design of its gun in over 30 years. Nice r-ddit spacing btw
RMR
>replace battery by unscrewing the entire thing, fricking up the zero, having to rezero and potentially stripping the heads of the screws, risking damage to the threads, potentially needing Loctite to seat the optic properly
DPP
>replace battery by pushing a button
Glock is used by by so many countries you can almost spell the alphabet out with them
And yet Sig was chosen by the only country that matters.
>pogs use sig sewer while marines and SOCOM use Glocks
Oh no sigsters
Sand could get in the slide
>marines
https://www.businessinsider.com/marine-corps-officially-fields-m18-first-new-pistol-35-years-2020-9
M9 was unironically the best for clearing debris from the action because of how open it was. That was more useful than a tinier action for reliability in the field.
>SOCOM

Wait what's this about israeli people? I don't understand.
The new head of SIG yuesey wears a funny hat. All other marketing venues and government contracts spawn from there.
>SIG IS OVERCHARGING AND IS israeli
>posts overpriced Swiss piece of shit as the gold standard
Okay.
There you go, making up scenarios in your head again. What do you even mean by your rambling diarrhea of a post?
There is a clear difference between Exeter NUSIG and actual bergjude magic swiss-made steel that will survive your grandkids and still be smooth as buttered glass.
>Bergjuden
I think the same parent company owns them and Taurus USA

Gee I wonder why they get so much hate? Instead of designing a brand new striker fired gun from the ground up they just took their shitty P250 and shoved a striker in it.
>Instead of designing a brand new striker fired gun from the ground up they just took their shitty P250 and shoved a striker in it.
Why is that bad again? Wait until you hear about how Glock has been selling literally the exact same gun to their cultists for decades.
Dude, their slogan is "Glock Perfection"...how are they supposed to improve on something that's perfect?? IT'S IMPOSSIBLE
At least with the P22X series Legion guns you are getting milling, checkering and features you cannot buy on regular models.
tl;dr It's lipstick on a pig
*appears in every gun store in America*
It's a firearm why wouldn't it?
I can't think of any other manufacturer that puts fully lit display cases in stores. At least not to the degree that Sig does.
Not a complaint, just an observation. I legitimately enjoy my M18.
>make fancy displays
>get them into stores
>they stand out, which gets them more sales from people
like it or not there are a lot of people who don't know shit about guns yet still buy them, and presentation goes a long way with attracting that kind of person
I doubt there are a lot of those elite dealers that have the full display going on.
I mean, you know your doing something right if there are counterfeit units of your product around
my LGS has those exact same display cases for CZ FN and like 5 other companies its normal lol
oh no wahhhh they're marketing wahhhh :~~*~~*( wahhhh
You don't need confirmation bias to tell you something is objectively a cheap sigger piece of shit like the 320.
The fact you are using sigger unironically is embarrassing. Fricking shoot a gun or at least finger frick one for christ sakes
post guns homosexual
Their success is getting to them, simple as that.
Sig isn’t fricking up the commercial end though. Everyone is buying P320s and P365s now. The MCX is also really popular.
do ANY OF YOU own a hk-p226 45?
No, just a Glock & Wesson .30
>Why all the hate?
their hollowpoints dont expand when clogged with clothing
Milwaukee policed dept had to recall 500,000 of their pistols because they frickin suck at QC? overpriced government contractor? the richgays that only like them because they're rich and you're not?
Why would the Milwaukee pd have half a million pistols?
Not even the DoD has 500k pistols. Shut the frick up.
meds
AFAIK, septa was the only department to replace 320 after a discharge with glocks right away without waiting for an investigation. Third party investigation from a different department confirmed sigs finding that the gun was fine it it was user error. I actually sounded like they had a deal with glock lined up and had to get sig out of the picture with by using a preexisting issue.
I love reading these threads.
Swiss made P226 good
Ameriisraelite P320 bad
Ironically the SP2022 or whatever they’re called are more trustworthy for not being made with Indian parts and are cheaper now
>muh Indian parts
You car is made with parts from Mexico. Your clothes were made in Vietnam. Your phone and computer are from China. Your TV and refrigerator were put together in Bangladesh. Shut the frick up.
Indian parts aren't really in use anymore I believe. AFAIK, currently sig parts made in India are for maintain the Indian military 716s due to some sort of contract that some parts need to be made in India. MIM parts for general production should now come from the same company, indomim, but from the Texas plant.
Sig gaygles on suicide watch. Yet ANOTHER issue with serious safety implications....
>one single modified pistol fires
>but only when the trigger is pulled
>it was already fixed and isnt happening again
>serious safety implications
Is this how Glocksuckers live? Just bouncing from cope to cope desperately trying to bash anything that isn't their precious 2x4??
Juden.
Success breeds jealousy.

Modern SIG is CHINESE GARBAGE written in cursive
HK is better
Most large corporations and all multinationals are corrupt and share board members. This is done to ensure everyone is on the same page - manage pre-planned outcomes, kill competition and enrich themselves.
But this doesn’t happen in weapons and aerospace because these industries have morals and free markets. It’s all so moronic.
TL/DR: Sig is just a peek at what we can expect going forward. Everything is rigged.
heh, thats pretty good
It's overpriced for what it is.
For me, I only buy US made guns. I'd never buy guns made by freedom-hating homosexual countries.
Ah, yes. New Hampshire, USA. That homosexual country.
