Who loves extremely rare Soviet-era prototypes? Well one was spotted on the front line of Ukraine, a VTS Ladoga targetted by an FPV. There's only known to be 5 - 7 Ladoga's ever produced, although it's not much more than a T-80 chassis with a fancy interior and extensive protection from exterior elements.

The book is red
Most famously the Lagoda was sent to Chernobyl to enter the destroyed reactor hall days after the incident. Its intended purpose was to transport VIP's during a nuclear apocalypse.
As it was designed to transport VIP's, such as high command personnel, the inside is quite posh. I wonder if the crew driving this still had these comfy seats.
It can still be used as a command post, personnel carrier, or an ad-hoc engineering vehicle. I'm frankly shocked they even found a running one in the first place.
What the frick man. Prototypes and golf carts. Can't believe that BMP3 and 2 are now a luxury
Nah they are fricked up. Only one was probably equipped inside like a limo.
That makes me really sad anon I like the idea of generals in this armored limo cruising along the rear lines while looking over a map and smoking cigars.
That looks very cozy. Wonder if that's a minibar
You could have told me this was a photo from a mid 70s camper van and I'd believe it
Top comf ngl.
>Chernobyl
did the one which did that get scapped in those massive chernobyl junkyards or are we seeing a possibly radiation contaminated vehicle beeing destroyed?
>Vadim and Sasha stumbling upon the old luxury APC left in a long forgotten corner in the deepest reaches of a Siberian depot and getting a warm, fuzzy feeling.
>Its intended purpose was to transport VIP's during a nuclear apocalypse.
So how'd it hold up against the FPV drone?
Surely a vehicle built to survive the nuclear holocaust can shrug off a drone....r-right...?
I assume if it's designed for VIP transport then it's not designed for frontline combat, and doesn't have the same level of protection as a tank. You don't expect a gasmask to have a ballistic rating.
>A USSR Nuclear Apocalypse
>A Russian Clown World
You can only survive one
>VTS Ladoga
S-surely that is an ukrainian ladoga and that's not the 63rd Mechanized Brigade from Ukraine, right zigsisters?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/63rd_Mechanized_Brigade_(Ukraine)
Not that this war made sense before, but this makes especially little sense. What's an armored limo doing in Ukraine? You can't even fit many people (or Russians) in it.
Tank is a tank za stalina uraaaaaaa
It has armor and runs and drives, that's enough to get it sent. It's not the first super low production/prototype we've seen
>Not that this war made sense before, but this makes especially little sense. What's an armored limo doing in Ukraine? You can't even fit many people (or Russians) in it.
Russias APC?IFV crisis seems very different to their tank and artillery situation where they are able to actually pull a few thousand from the endless fields of rust. Even a year ago unarmored MT-LBs started to be used as APCs when Russia should have had no shortage, even now Russian APC reserves are meant to be over 10,000 as their in service ones kit 100% losses but they are not following the same patten as the tanks and artillery, worse storage, more cannibalization, worse made, faster decay who knows. The Ukrainian figures predicted the arrival of golf carts and golf carts arrived.
>5 logos
>your ad might be here
Ukro logos are unironically kino. At first I thought it was they were very flat and minimalistic, but it has grown on me. Compared to the ruskie schizophrenic habit of mixing imperial inspired stuff with commie symbols
>Ukro logos are unironically kino.
they are cringe just like rus ones
ur mom cringe ledditor
pleb taste
4 fpv drones
Keeeeeeek
Tactical advantage? No, seriously, for what fricking reason
why?? why couldn't they have blown the tracks and recovered this? I have never been more curious about something from this war, at least not since prig had a change of heart
this might be the weirdest battlefield find of the whole war
Remember when they sent the only T-80UM2 ever made to the front line?
no, pics?
Happened in March 2022.
>Drozd-mind
Webm if you wanna see the whole thing
Nvm thanks
>no aftermath
returned to port under own power
but seriously how did it fare?
Sadly no aftermath was posted. T-80's tend to turret toss when they're "tickled" behind the neck of their turret as I like to say, but no ammunition in this case, hopefully the FPV knocked out the engine and we'll see it abandoned. This is such a cool find that it HAS to be documented more.
seriously, I need to see the interior. imagine if they kept it the same and it was basically some vatniks personal pimp mobile
Ukraine must cease all operations to ensure the capture and survival of a Ladoga.
They were already able to save one rare T-90A, they can save more rare species.
Do you got the sauce? At least link it if you're not gonna webm it
scrapping the bottom of the ass
I assume you're a moronic, illiterate Black person judging by the stench of shit on your words
frick man what the frick, why does this kind of history have to get destroyed. Hopefully it gets recovered at some point
You assumed wrong homosexual, read what OP posted and think
And the end of the day it's just another tank.
Try, and I know this is going to be hard so it's okay if you have to take a little time to do it, try and read the fricking thread before you post
Hey, I said it was okay to take your time, so do so! Go and read each post carefully, trying to think about what the words mean.
here is a hint
>nazi iron cross
so that's how you are supposed to know it's ukrainian
OK
>nazi iron cross
so this is how I know you're a fricking moron
moronic shills always get so triggered when you point out ukies are using nazi symbolism
it's no secret they are using nazi shit, no need to freak out every time it's mentioned
>Says something stupid
>Why are you mad
Baby's first cross patte you're a turd
>nazis invented the cross, let alone the iron cross
damn its crazy hitler had a nazi iron cross from ww2 way back in the 1920s
>he doesn't know
Is the russian imperial eagle a communist symbol?
You wanna buy one anon?
Black and Red colors, Ukrainian flag turns black and red when stained with blood. Nationalist symbol.
Seconded.
NAFO boomer energy
rip
So what’s your opinion on putting Cold War era prototype vehicles into a slugfest that has destroyed thousands upon thousands of tanks and other armored vehicles?
Phoneposting twitter troon energy
Are you trying to tell us everyone hates vatniks? I've no fricking idea what NAFTO shit is but that seems to be what you are saying. We know everyone hates vatniks. I'd happily put your fave on top of a broken bottle and dance on it just because you suck off putin publicly for example but so would many others of all backgrounds who have had family murdered due to the Kremlin.
>fancy interior and extensive protection from exterior elements.
im guessing Ukie then? Russians seem to think that crew comfort and safety are decadent western capitalism features for weak nazi westerners. But then again it IS a prototype
moron
This was designed to transport Soviet VIPs, not mobiks. That's why it's so weird it's here.
After Gerasimov what severely wounded inthe missile strike, they hooked him to life support and entombed him in the Ladoga, this was his death ride
Only in death does duty end
Red/black two-color flag is Ukrainian, although I get that it can be hard to tell with trillion different telegram channels all with their own logos and watermarks that hardly follow same stlye.
How the frick did we get so many geriatrics like this
on /k/ kek.
63rd Separate Mechanized brigade logo
Patrol police battalion ("Predator")
Escadrille (UCAV unit)
Other 2 - who the hell knows.
bruh that can't be real
They literally pulled it from a museum.
48.29867N 40.29949E
>48.29867N 40.29949E
>open air "museum" right next to a highway
thats the most russian way of showing off rare vehicles
There it is.
RIP.
It's just lucky that they didn't take the rocket tubes from the truck in the back and weld it to the top of it
They made more than one. Doubt it's the museum example.
check in one years time, satellite view is updated more often than street view
Nicely spotted OP.
Seeing the Lagoda being fielded by russia would be indicative of the increased strain on their tank inventory.
I have been tracking russias numbers for a while and though all my data is based on open source stuff, by my estimates they currently passed below the 1000 mark of active tanks ready for battle. the main reason is that the offensive since october 2023 has cost them more than they can afford and production/restoration is unable to keep up at this rate.
afaik russia has 10 plants capable in total of restoring about 200 tanks / month, and furthermore they can build about 40 new T90 per month.
i imagine restoring older tanks will get tougher and tougher though due to decreased spare parts. unless russia is able to do something quickly to reduce their losses they will be out of tanks within a year
>they can build about 40 new T90 per month.
arent they also using old t-72b hulls for t-90 production?
not that i am aware of, they are however restoring a lot of 72s
do you have a source?
>hey are however restoring a lot of 72s
You fricking liar. Your a fricking worthless lying c**t. You have to be brown and a prajeet the way you fricking just lie and expect people to tolerate your shit eating life. Russia is restoring lots of T72s hey? That's why they were using T72s and T54s a year ago? You worthless street shitting vermin. Rest assured after Russia is gone people like me will be bringing famine right back to India for your worthless fricks to enjoy with your families.
>restoring a lot of t-72
that is a correct statement, russia had apprx 7000 in storage
what is your point?
the lie is that the implication that the most amount of tanks restored are T-72s when we see an ever increasing amount of T-55s and T-62s, pedantic Black person
you are wrong, we do not "see an ever increasing amount of T-55s and T-62s"
Also, there is not implication except the correct statement that the majority of tanks up for restoration are t-72
picrel
>Russia will run out of helmets!

>Russia will run out of artillery!
>Russia will run out of parade material to use in Ukraine

>russia will run out of refineries!
also, can you find anything wrong in
>price of gasoline was even higher 8 months ago
>somehow this means Russia is now running out of gas
uhh... okay
Prices respond to weaker supply, yes.
Is that the reason why pajeet starts buying crude oil from the US now
jeets always been buying us oils for specific grades
it is just how it works
left cant meme
Wait, the r*ssians named VIP limo tank after Finnish lake?
This is Russian lake, nice cope Fintard
At the moment, but not for long.
>Using a tank made for carrying a Soviet premiere through Moscow during an active nuclear bombardment in a warzone
Why?
