Nicaragua
why and which parts would you recommend to check out? obviously not the most stable country
I kinda did this. After the crash in 08 land at the beach on little islands no one cared about was cheap. I bought a bunch of it. Then I had a bad life event, and just moved to the island. I sold my other business, and opened a shitty tiki bar on the beach. Life is good now.
If things go to shit, I know I can go to the back side of my property, dig five feet down, and hit potable water. If I walk ten feet into the bay, I will step on something I can eat.
sounds pretty comfy
chile doesnt seem like a tropical destination, but i will do some research. CR expensiveness is all i see, but surely that is only people expecting the same lifestyle as in the US. i want to homestead and be self sufficient.
Chili has lots of tropical climate in the north part of the country.
Northern Chile is the Atacama Desert.
Regardless of country, can we have a shit hits the fan island homestead thread?
I live on an island. We constantly game plan this. We've also gone months without electricity. So, we prep for this stuff.
Chili and Costa Rica are both nice but id go with Chili. Costa Rica cost of living has been going up alot the last few years. Chili is extremely safe, has great people, great culture, and is cheap to live in.
Chili?
>Chili
im a moronic american anon, you cant expect me to know how to spell chile correctly
I know where, but I'm not going to say it
w-what f i am a brown hispanic and currently learning espanol
ah yes, hyperdesert. perfecto.
planning a road trip down to panama from cali. everyone says this is insane, but im not too worried
tell me about st lucia
English speaking. Land and produce is affordable. The local Blacks are manageable. Not far from USA.
which areas do you recommend looking at?
well im doing it anyways. you do know that there are millions of people from those countries living in the US, right?
have any good advice to share?
>road trip
Capital of France followed by my flag at proton mail dot com
ok, i look forward to talking
Aliens?
>hyperoceanic
>hyperdesert
That sounds amazing
Colombia, Panama, Mexico, and (maybe) El Salvador are the best bets for QOL. They have varying degrees of difficulty for obtaining citizenship. Do your research on each and travel around for a bit before making any decisions.
Costa Rica is nice but St. Kitts is where the cool anons will go to take over
Right here
Frick off were full.
Ignore my US flag.
Just build this next to the ocean and you'll have all the fish you could ever want.
i do love me some raw fish, but generally speaking beachfront lots have terrible soil quality and things just dont grow. i want to plant 100+ species of fruit trees.
>Rainwater storage with chicken coop underneath
>Pasture for large animals that is almost a quarter acre
>Coffee Cacao
>Middle pond for rice
Looks like they got it all figured out
im honestly not sure if all that is doable on an acre. i would be doing at least 5.
>living next to a pond
>in a tropical area
Enjoy being eaten alive by mosqutos genius
there are a ton of options for animals/fish that eat mosquito larvae. anyways, id rather get eaten alive by mosquitoes than continue working a bullshit job so i can eat processed foods for the rest of my life
>hate your job
>decide to commit suicide by malaria instead
There are better ways, anon. I won't tell you how to unalive yourself, but that is not a good
way.
>there are a ton of options for animals/fish that eat mosquito larvae
That isn't going to do squat.
You will change your mind fairly quickly when you cant get proper sleep from these little bastards. That's if you're lucky enough to avoid malaria.
Not saying you should eat goyslop, but trying to get away from it into a tropical zone isn't very smart.
>but trying to get away from it into a tropical zone isn't very smart.
enjoy your corposlop and needlessly wasteful life anon
I was looking to buy a former school that runs off tank water but has town sewerage and power, if i convert the cricket pitch to food production will i make it bros
should mention is in tropics
looks comfy and id try planting everything else first before removing the recreational area. you might want to find a few anons to help with this project too.
where i lived growing up, i would get absolutely destroyed by mosquitoes every summer. not to mention the risk of deer ticks with lyme. nowhere i am looking has a very high rate of malaria.
right beside properties with mango, lychee, Avocado, Lime, Peach, Mandarin, Lemon, Orange, Custard apple.
Tradebros FTW
nice. beware posting actual pictures here because a quick reverse image search will give your potential address.
>No Johnston Atoll
>No Kirabati
>No Lisianski island
Tell me your NGMI without telling me
i dont want to be on a barren island, anon
When I am ready to die I will be buying a sailboat and going to these islands. We'll see how long I make it.
El Salvador no contest. President is based and Christ pilled.
Arrested all the gangsters.
