Mormons sel bulk food with a 30 year shelf life for cheap. All canned goods in the store expires in like 3 years max. Year to can and buy a presto. Buy a water filter. you can store food cheaper if you do some things yourself.
The only thing that will last longer is freeze dried stuff but that's extremely expensive. My recommendation is 6 months of living expenses and 6 months of food as your immediate prep goals then branch out to other things.

I legitimately do not understand the appeal of a TV show version of a movie game. The game is going to be about as long, more interactive and fun, has far better aesthetics (for the original TLOU release at least), and has the best possible version of every character.
