i just read the wiki page and aparently daimler (yes mercedes benz daimler) built these until 1998. so there is a good chance ukraine got them merc mines lmao
OK I pondered the frames and concluded it couldn't have been a PARM. It was some roadside mine but a different type. We have footage of PARM, it basically launches an RPG rocket that blows up when it hits the vehicle. Whatever this was exploded first, chucking a penetrator at the BMP. Considering the BMP-2 is about 7 meters long whatever hit it was placed almost 50 meters away.
Combined arms and proper infantry support are alien concepts for them. They just throw mobiks into old soviet shitboxes and maybe succeed once after dozens of failed attempts.
God damn it’s incredible how much javelin footage we have. Definitely the best combat tested man portable fire and forget ATGM in use anywhere in the world. That and TOW is such a good combo
With two times the payload, three times the range and four times the accuracy.
Developed by the cousin of the supreme Soviet no less and avoiding unnecessary and expensive testing.
Yeah it makes youre moronation hard not to notice. They both destroy tanks but asides from that they're tactical employment is completely different. NLAW is closet range which is why you saw them all the time used in the packed urban areas of Kiev in the first few months and Jav is a long range weapon better suited for firing at vehicles moving over open fields in Bakmut. That was the original purpose of the javelin, to allow infantry to frick up Soviet tank zerg rushes across open fields of Europe through the Fulda Gal.
The javelin has seen way more use and I’m not going to pretend that the lack of NLAW videos isn’t forefront on everyone’s mind just to cushion your feelings
Your cope wasn’t accepted. I’m sorry but the javelin has just proven more useful to the NLAW. Name recognition for NLAW is near 0 now that it’s been absent for over a year.
You know whats funny about morons like you? Is that the same kind of ignorant morons were saying this same exact thing but in reverse back in feb/march 2022 when we were getting daily NLAW clips but hardly any Jav clips

I remember that. I bet you 100% it's the same guy you're talking to now.
Lot more engagements over longer distances these days than at the start of the war, where you saw the most NLAW footage. NLAWs are still very much in use and are especially important in those small towns and villages where you see a lot of "close" range fighting occurring right now.
Javelins are just more effective at the types of ranges these types of Russian assaults are engaged at by Ukrainians in fortified defensive positions in and near major settlements, as well as Ukrainian forces operating more in the tree lines and forward posts.
I always found this one especially hilarious, like do they really count their commercial fishing fleets as part of their military navy? I know that they use them to frick with other countries territorial boundaries but still it's funny they made an image of glorious chink fisherman vs American overlord.
Infantry is next to the fricking tanks. What they gonna do to the javelin operator 3 miles away? All those russians in that column had 0 idea what killed them. For them it could have been God himself delivering divine justice, they couldn't possible know better
>Only thousands more tanks, IFV's and APC's to go >Russia - 9923, of which: destroyed: 6394, damaged: 301, abandoned: 384, captured: 2844
actually 77, lol
Well, yes. The cream of Russia's tanks are gone. Now we begin grinding the badly kept old tanks. Afterward, maybe events will continue on to grind their most ancient rustheaps.
>moron thinks weapon efficiency is binary
Wow you're clearly bringing a new and innovative way of thinking to this board. I'm sure you can even explain how Russia lost 1900+ tanks if they just shrug off ATGMs.
Also in case you thought this little Black person had a point, you can see the shot come horizontally from the right, meaning it's definitely not a javelin.
Speed estimation is about 500m/s. And its bright looking from side. Javelin engine at range flies by inertia.
Its tank HEAT round. Velocity and tracer match.
>Javelin engine at range flies by inertia. >Its tank HEAT round. Velocity and tracer match. >Speed estimation is about 500m/s
Proof?
And if it is HEAT from a tank thats even more embaressing because Ukraine is using western tanks now. A fully modernized western tank cant kill old Russian tanks?
No, they weren't wiped neither was Azov for that matter. Mariupol was multiple parts of units that got cut off together. Some were rear echelon guys, some were wounded evacuees, some were based there and had rushed back when the war started. It was a bit of a hodgepodge.
Also, a good chunk of them have been returned now too.
Estonia has sent a fat batch of PK-14 EFP mines, in an article it said Ukrainians liek them because they are light and you can bring several of them. Could be one of those.
Sucks that the last tank got away. It appears that the presumed HEAT mine didn’t get a mission kill. The Javelins are absolutely fricking shit up though, and it looks like there was artillery fire hitting close by.
What even is the counter to having a bunch of infantry 3KM away from you if you have to cross a wide open field?
How would they even remotely get close? In order to do any attack like this you need intense ISR coverage, drone harassment, accurate artillery supressing people ect. Would still take like 10 mins of every guy on a javelin sitting in a hole to be completely suppressed to get within effective range of these guys. Also imagine trying to fight dudes in holes 2 miles out when you’re reliant on Russian thermal optics.
After rewatching the footage, the heat mine did BTFO the BMP. I was thinking of whatever hit the tank at the end, maybe a javelin in direct mode or possibly some other ATGM
Airpower and artillery have always been the counter to static troops. Even if they have a trench network to survive the explosions, it keeps them suppressed long enough for your guys to get close enough to deal with them as they come out of the shelters. Of course, you need good recon to know when and where to drop your explosives, but that's what airpower, sats, and drones are for.
kornet provides similar capability and they've used it fairly successfully from what i've read. the ukranians are pretty weary of it.
but it's not an exact analog to the javelin and i doubt russia could source enough parts to copy the javelin exactly in the numbers that they would need them.
China already has an equivalent in the HJ-12, but I don’t think it has top attack capability like the Javelin and it doesn’t come with the advanced CLU.
Also I'm pro-Ukraine but some homosexual in the last Javelin thread said some moronic shit "they're getting defeated by 80's and 90's tech!" like bro we still use the javelins lol. Just because it's from the 90's doesn't mean it's useless. Shit we still use the M2 browning and that thing is a beast.
You seem to forget how vatniks tried to tell us for the last ten years how all that 80's and 90's tech of the west was obsolete and would get steamrolled by a T-72 LGBTQ driving backwards at it.
What the frick is Russia thinking? They know that Ukraine is going to attack with their new armor in a month or two why would you throw your tanks and such at defended mined land now?
>attack with their new armor in a month or two
Russia has lost more armour in their offences over the last two or so months than Ukraine has been promised in donations. The amount of MBTs donated to Ukraine is absolutely nothing. As we've seen, a single top attack AGTM will yeet it, regardless. I think people are either going to be shocked or disappointed when Ukraine finally attacks (assuming Zelensky is lying/tricking when he says there won't be an offensive because of lack of ammo, supplies and heavy equipment).
The thing is Russia has no equivalent to Javelin and western tanks have more sophisticated optics to allow them to standoff further out from enemy positions.
>I think people are either going to be shocked or disappointed when Ukraine finally attacks
I like how Ukraine had four offensives in this war, each of them was successful but this fifth one will be disappointing because of Russian incompetence
I mean I want Russia pushed out completely of everywhere but I just fear there isn't pure enough numbers to get it done with minimal losses. Short of a Kharkiv tier rout, it'll be messy because - as we have seen with Russian offences - it is incredibly costly attacking defensive positions. While western MBTs should mitigate some problems there just isn't enough for every attacking thrust to be full of them.
Honestly this war should be waking up the western nations to have systems in place for mass production and start cycling up. If we think Russia is testing capacity, then China will be even worse. Then you got nations like France and Spain and Italy who have donated very little compared to their GDP (no, coping about 'EU contribution in monetary aid' isn't what Ukraine needs right now).
>I think people are either going to be shocked or disappointed when Ukraine finally attacks
I like how Ukraine had four offensives in this war, each of them was successful but this fifth one will be disappointing because of Russian incompetence
Because nobody in the Russian army cares. They have the order to take Ukraine and attack, so they order their minions to attack. They report home stunning successes and repeat the next day.
Only second anon? They are my favorite by far. Watching both kinds on a duel monitor setup is absolutely kino though. Don't even know what screen to watch while reaching extacy something our grandfathers would never have imagined during the dark days of the cold war.

I never said it was stock jav footage. These might have been the actual dudes who got the tank kills we see, and the mines dis the rest. Probably are. I just said that these are not recent losses and the original release was just the drone pov.
Holy frick infantry bros we are so fricking back.
3 decades of subhuman brown warfare made me think tanks are invincible, but after looking at this....
Just imagine two western NATO countries :contested airspace, low artilery concentration and the infantry will just eat these threaded coffins the frick up.
Kek, the jav is also kind of shit, it doesnt even comper to the israelite spike.

You're thinking of the Chechens.
You clearly don't know what caucasian means.
I wish they'd ID the song for us. That ones a slapper.
nice
Bangin’ soundtrack for a change.
I just don't want any music in these videos, it's distracting. At least stick with just instrumentals.
Goddamn that is a kino picture.
2:13
thats one of those german at mines, right ?
Either a Parm or another kind of offroad mine, I think the French sent a few of theirs too.
i just read the wiki page and aparently daimler (yes mercedes benz daimler) built these until 1998. so there is a good chance ukraine got them merc mines lmao

I bet the Chinese have already made a copy of it that they are selling waaaaay cheaper.
With two times the payload, three times the range and four times the accuracy.
Developed by the cousin of the supreme Soviet no less and avoiding unnecessary and expensive testing.
damn that's a big explosion
i would pissing my pants
All of this recent javelin footage makes the silence of NLAW footage deafening. It’s impossible not to notice
The javelin has seen way more use and I’m not going to pretend that the lack of NLAW videos isn’t forefront on everyone’s mind just to cushion your feelings
And I just explained to you why there is a lack of footage you dumb moron
Your cope wasn’t accepted. I’m sorry but the javelin has just proven more useful to the NLAW. Name recognition for NLAW is near 0 now that it’s been absent for over a year.

>the javelin has just proven more useful to the NLAW.
I should hope so given it costs 5 times as much.
>The javelin has seen way more use
its been seen missing way more also
There are more nlaw misses on tape than javelin
Lot more engagements over longer distances these days than at the start of the war, where you saw the most NLAW footage. NLAWs are still very much in use and are especially important in those small towns and villages where you see a lot of "close" range fighting occurring right now.

Apples and oranges
Tanks now rarely come in NLAW range.
The BMP that got hit looks like it was shellac'd by an off-route mine or a hidden tank.
Nah those are German mines which cover a circle shaped area
the global south will prevail
Imagine cheering for incompetent brownoids.
Whats really funny about that picture is china sends its fishing trawlers to plunder fish far from its own waters
https://e360.yale.edu/features/how-chinas-expanding-fishing-fleet-is-depleting-worlds-oceans
Commies don’t give a frick about the environment - look at the aral sea
I always found this one especially hilarious, like do they really count their commercial fishing fleets as part of their military navy? I know that they use them to frick with other countries territorial boundaries but still it's funny they made an image of glorious chink fisherman vs American overlord.
why draw an aircraft carrier without planes?
>long columns of armor just driving around in a line unsupported
Ugh, so 2022 of them.
>vehicles exploding all around them
why the FRICK doesn't the infantry at least dismount so they don't immediately die in fireball?
Infantry is next to the fricking tanks. What they gonna do to the javelin operator 3 miles away? All those russians in that column had 0 idea what killed them. For them it could have been God himself delivering divine justice, they couldn't possible know better
Only thousands more tanks, IFV's and APC's to go Ukiebros!
We about to reach 10k confirmed visual losses soon, can't wait for the countdown thread
>Only thousands more tanks, IFV's and APC's to go
>Russia - 9923, of which: destroyed: 6394, damaged: 301, abandoned: 384, captured: 2844
actually 77, lol
And there are thousands more left. Which is the point.
So? It's getting progressively funnier and we're already down to T54s.
>And there are thousands more left
How many thousands that can be made serviceable in a short period of time though?
Well, yes. The cream of Russia's tanks are gone. Now we begin grinding the badly kept old tanks. Afterward, maybe events will continue on to grind their most ancient rustheaps.
>haha you haven't finished slaughtering us yet!
test
Did it work?
>moron thinks weapon efficiency is binary

try using simpler words amigo, that one is way too much for you.
>HEAT from a tank
last night ya mudda was in HEAT
Lurk more moronic wartourist newbie
>Javelin engine at range flies by inertia.
Why are you making up moronic lies?
Jav flight motor burns out at 850m downrange, anon. Anything beyond that is just gliding
Had to be a tank. You can see how they took another shot at 2:13 but it fell short.
javelin can fire in both modes
A turret toss? In 2023? Shocking they'd let it go out with so much ammunition
>the vatgroid naruto running at 1:36
lol LMAO
How many ppl were in that tank/bmp-thingy?
Probably just the crew since as we know, no self respecting russian would ride a BMP on the inside
Then they all got out. I wonder what the guy on the burning tank yelled at the other one and vice versa.
Probably everyone was out and to get the frick out of there thinking it was going to explode or just to get lower to ground so he doesn't get shot.
>COME BACK SERGEY, TANK IS FINE!
Not enough.
What happened to the 36th Marines?
Wasn't the unit effectively wiped out after Mariupol?
New insignia looks sick tho.
What the frick was that? An EFP mine or something?
see
Something like a 155 BONUS Artillery Round.
I wouldn't believe something like this could exist without seeing the video.
How are Russians not shitting their pants every time they move out?
Learn to de-suckke from Google. I have zero intention of visiting one of their ip collection points.
Estonia has sent a fat batch of PK-14 EFP mines, in an article it said Ukrainians liek them because they are light and you can bring several of them. Could be one of those.
I thought maybe a BONUS 155 or the like but..
The explosion close to the ground.. Think U nailed it
Here's a clip of ruskis getting hit either with BONUS or SMArt.
Didn't the 36th get obliterated in Mariupol? I thought their surviving members couldn't enter the country again until the war ended.
The whole Brigade wasn't in Mariupol. Only 1 Battalion and 1 tank company
Ah, but Ukraine is not a real country you see, and one cannot enter a place that doesn't exist...
Avdiivka is the new Vuhledar
Javelin has to hit from the top you moron, not from the front.
Naruto?
Those Hohols clearly don't know they just fricked with the next Hokage.
Sucks that the last tank got away. It appears that the presumed HEAT mine didn’t get a mission kill. The Javelins are absolutely fricking shit up though, and it looks like there was artillery fire hitting close by.

Do any of yall think Russia will try to clone one? Maybe they'll get the Chinese or Iranians to do it. But who knows how good the quality will be.
kornet provides similar capability and they've used it fairly successfully from what i've read. the ukranians are pretty weary of it.
but it's not an exact analog to the javelin and i doubt russia could source enough parts to copy the javelin exactly in the numbers that they would need them.

I hope one of those turrets lands on your fricking head one day
nice turret toss at 2:15
>censoring the horizon from the firing position
Neat
What the frick is Russia thinking? They know that Ukraine is going to attack with their new armor in a month or two why would you throw your tanks and such at defended mined land now?
Because they need a win, any win to keep public support up and are willing do throw men and tanks at it until they do.
Remember capturing one warehouse in Bakhmut had people spam posting in here that Russian victory is inevitable .
exactly, they need a win or else they get master windu'd.they cant get off Putins wild ride without losing their lives.
>attack with their new armor in a month or two

Good turret toss

Ukie jav videos is my second favorite type of jav videos.

OOK
10 points for height
10 points for landing
Probably not the highest toss ever, but definitely gets points for the pyrotechnical display and overall composition. I'll give that 9/10.
nice toss
he means the one at 2:05 where hey shot it to the front for some reason, else it wouldn't survive.
You can't go handing out 10s like that because then you have nowhere else to go. That's a 9.8
this footage is at least 2 weeks old and have already been posted in here multiple times except that this time it has javelin firing stock video edited in
I don’t believe you. Can you prove it
cba. We had at least one thread about it. You'll have to take my word for it.
what difference does it make that these ziggers died this week or early march?
You said stock javelin footage was added. I want your source. Show me the origin of the stock footage
I never said it was stock jav footage. These might have been the actual dudes who got the tank kills we see, and the mines dis the rest. Probably are. I just said that these are not recent losses and the original release was just the drone pov.
frick me i did say "stock"
i blame phoneposting. I did not type that word.

Why is it the same fricking field in every video?
So why are they driving across a giant open field that has clearly already been struck hundreds of times? Did they expect no one to be there that day?
They tried to attack again in the same area
Sending one tank on suicide mission doesn't attack constitute
