So they've made the 92 you crybabies have been asking for. The safety isn't on the slide so you your mongoloid hands can't "accidentally engage the safety" somehow. It's got a mount for moronic tiny red dots. It's got a thin grip suitable for your soft, supple, 12 year old girl hands. It's even got a mounting rail for your olight.
You're gonna buy one, right?
That safety is EASIER to engage than the typical 93 safety. It's 1911 style, which can be accidentally be bumped up and ON under recoil. The regular 92 safety is high up and is in the OFF/FIRE position when UP. You are gay and moronic.
300 goddamn years of people b***hing "the 92 is fricking trash bro the slide safety can be engaged if you rack it like a primate" and now "actually the slide safety is fine"
are you telling me that public opinion shifted towards the 92's design just in time for them to release a rendition of the gun that people have wanted for 40 fricking years
no people just complained until they realized there was nothing better on the market
i think it hurt when the military adopted the clearly inferior Sig, it rubbed berettaboys the wrong way for sure to see filthy siggers and their corrupt marketing teams bribe their way into the military.
frick siggers.
The slide mounted safety was fine when they started getting to the point where it was a bit more upswept in the fire position so you couldn't inadvertently engaged the safety while racking the slide. Arguably it was fine before then, but blame 1911 autists who couldn't adapt to a slightly different motion on a different platform.
The original Beretta 92 slide mounted safety is worked just like a 1911 safety, watch the Matt fanfare podcast with Ernest Langdon he goes into detail and demos it. People are just ignorant and lazy don't look up info on anything especially if it's not a new thing
It's not about sweeping it off safe that works just fine, it's about the potential to inadvertently put the gun on safe during an immediate action drill or a slingshot method reload.
Rear slide serrations were a mistake.
Works fine on almost every other pistol. It was a hilariously trivially simple design change and yet they let the problem fester for decades instead of correcting it like the did with the locking block issue.
>Works fine on almost every other pistol.
No, it doesn't. Even if there isn't a control lever in the way, there's still the whole rest of the gun, forcing you to pinch onto it from some awkward angle.
>1911 autists who couldn't adapt to a slightly different motion
Considering how they piss and shit themselves when a grip angle is 0.1° off from what they're used to, I don't know why anyone ever pays attention to their opinions.
Majority opinion has changed, but I literally never wanted this. I've been here since goddamn 2013 and used to argue with the mouthbreathing morons that said the PT92 was a superior pistol because of the frame safety and "it's still Beretta tooling, just as good, acktually better" all the time. Almost everyone used to shit on Berettas here before Langdon made it cool to own one again.
Based rememberer. This place has always been full of tards.
>Almost everyone used to shit on Berettas here
And they were all noguns. Don't tell me you really give af about people's opinions here?
Yes the opinion didn't so much change but die out, that was the old idiot boomers who were pre internet and never updated stupid who b***hed
there's no public opinion shift its just morons on /k/ trolling you and being contrarion you stupid jit
I can't legally own guns thats how serious of a board /k/ is
Are you moronic? You don’t keep your thumb under a 1911 style safety when you shoot, you utter ape. Why do people like you, who don’t know how to shoot handguns bother posting here?
nah they perfected it with the M9A3, everything after it is just to make poorgays like you seethe
tongue my shit covered anus OP you are a forever homosexual with AIDS
I thought the M9A4 model was the one that introduced the "rake-safe" safety.
*rack
M9A3 safety is canted upwards to prevent you from accidentally engaging it when you rack the slide
they levelled it out on the M9A4 for some raisin
Doesn't the A4 ship with a dewiener-only lever by default? The upswept safety was to keep you from unknowingly turning the gun off, which obviously isn't an issue on a non-safety model.
the upswept safety was only upswept when it was turned off, otherwise it was pointed downward. they canted it up slightly above 180 degrees so your thumb wouldn't push the safety lever back DOWN and put the gun on safe when you're trying to load a round into the chamber.
the M9A3s shipped with the upswept safety that locks down and also dewieners, whereas M9A4 is a "G-code" and is springloaded so it only dewieners; you cannot lock/switch it down into a "safe" mode ever
they sell conversion kits so you can change M9A3s to the dewienerer only mode; i think they got rid of the upswept safety because the lever is now spring-loaded, meaning it can't stay in "accidentally safe" mode ever; most you'd do is dewiener the gun after putting a round in the chamber, but it's a DA/SA trigger so it matters not and actually increases killing power
>one of the few autoloaders with an exposed fixed barrel
>rds attachment point is on the reciprocating slide
Why bros
>fixed
anon?
Okay
>rds is on the spot that reciprocates a couple inches rather than a couple mm
Why bros
Barrel weight matters, attaching a heavy comp to a 92 threaded barrel or suppressor impacts reliability and you have to use lower weight springs to mitigate it. I guess it's reliable once you use the right springs.
Barrel is not fixed, it needs to travel 2mm back to unlock the locking block, it does not tilt or it shouldn't but wear marks on the top of your barrel indicate that it is infact tilting and impacting the inside of the slide. Not a big deal.

Nice drawing I bet your wife is impressed
while your choice of art disgusts me to my very core, your taste in firearms is absolutely top tier. i am conflicted to say the least.
That was the point but now I enjoy collecting physical media
pffffahHAHAHAHAHAHAH
>an entire page dedicated to a pair of boots
you might be mentally moronic but at least you own a nice gun
>boots?
>yeah, boots; that's definitely the word for those things that women wear on their feet
do you have autism by any chance
I can’t imagine how regarded someone has to be to actually frick up a 92 style safety.
Based
I have to get this off my chest, I don’t actually carry a 92 EDC
I carry a PX4
the only times i have carried my 92 has been to formal office events, such as my 10 year anniversary banquet.
a month later they laid us all off so i dont think ill get another chance any time soon.
Gay Furry Inc. downsized? Damn times must be tough
frick I need that
YWN be in a foursome with Douki-chan
ur so quirky
Noguns seethe. Nothing but a Beretta can be called a true gun
No. Slide safety is fine, and always has been. Everyone who says otherwise is moronic and wrong.
>People complaining about the position of the safety when the 92G exists
Explain this.
people will find a way to b***h about everything. I prefer a frame-mounted safety, and there are those who vehemently oppose it.
Not that one, I want the slide mounted safety and the fat butt grip with the rail and optic cut. This one is gross ish
>You're gonna buy one, right?
Only if they make a 96X
unfortunately beretta doesn't make .40s anymore
Taurus did the frame mounted 1911 style safety years ago, and I'd say that frame mounted 1911 style is better if you're carrying wienered and locked, but why would you ever carry wienered and locked?
wienered and Locked is ideal for single action guns with light triggers like the 1911, the 210, or the P-35; wienered and locked in a double action is military grade moronation.
The ideal 92 fire control schema is the 92G. Thankfully the conversion for a regular FS or M9 is just $67.
https://www.beretta.com/en-us/product/beretta-m9-g-dewiener-conversion-kit-EU00047
Taurus should make a 1911 with a slide mounted safety now.
Is it a reliable gun?
>So they've made the 92 you crybabies have been asking for
Beretta sold frame-safety variants since 1994, but clearly nobody was interested since so few were ever imported
actually, the very first model of 92 had a frame safety
>You're gonna buy one, right
why would I? it's just another 9mm.
The M9, in all its variations, is and always was mediocre.
You spelled glock wrong
Glocks do some things better than others. Beretta doesn't.
Show us on the doll where PB touched you.
Right on my locking block (it needs to be replaced).
Nice digits, but no. Ruger P85 should have won the army trials, better timeline. Picrel, need for a crosspost on PrepHole.
i dont like the styling of vertical serrations on the 92
No Brigadier slide, no buy.
Sorry Beretta. I already made the 92 I want using one simple trick.
Looks almost perfect. Now get rid of the rail and make sure there are no moronic safety stamps on the frame and I'll buy one. Oh wait, Beretta can't make good looking guns anymore because they're too cucked by their lawyers? Oh well.
Anybody moronic enough to want a 92 with a dewienerer on the frame where it gets in the way of your grip is a prohibited possessor anyway.
I thought it was a SAO model at first but yeah, a frame mounted dewienerer is really fricking dumb.
Some of the new ones are DA/SA with a safety (which is also a configuration that has no reason to exist)
>frame mounted dewienerer is really fricking dumb.
most guns have a frame mounted dewienerer, cz, sig, taurus
complaining about a frame mounted dewienerer and thinking it gets in the way makes you moronic. it being on the frame is not a problem
All those guns are fricking dumb
Bored at work, looking back at it, third post was a bridge too far. But it’s true, I prefer carrying the better beretta
Further more, of all DA/SA guns the 92/PX4 (honorable mention S&W) has the best controls. Mounted on the slide out of the way of your hand and the slide release. There is no tactical need to have a big frick off dewienerer lever for your thumb like the 92GTS or HK. You only need to dewiener when you’re done shooting, the slide is the perfect place for it, it can still be operated by the firing hand without shifting the grip that much or simply with the other hand.
Nah I'll stick with my old 92 nice try tho
Can someone post all the official Army requirements for M9 durability tests that it passed?
Pic related should be the gold standard for any firearm and any gun that doesn't meet that should be tossed into the trashcan and memory-holed forever.
>17,500 rounds
Wasnt the original design cracking locking blocks at the 5000-10000 round mark? Fricking stupid that the army wouldn't let them update the TDP to incorporate that major improvement.
Once the original locking block breaks or is replaced, all subsequent locking blocks last shorter round counts as the slide lugs wear unevenly right to left. And if they kept replacing them with Gen 1 locking blocks and not the Gen 3 they’re doomed for failure. I think they also buy 3rd party locking blocks too and not Beretta made ones but that could be wrong, they did switch to 3rd party magazines that got raped by sand due to their shittier finish
I don't frick with that Vertec grip bullshit, bro.
It's easier to add material than take away.
no I'll just stick to my 92fs
Who cares about some 80s black powder pistol
Where the hell is Burt?
Take the rails off and give it its ass back and I'll buy.
I've been asking for the 90-2 personally.
Which 92 is this? Looks like the XI but different color scheme.
GTS
why tf hasnt beretta come out with an M9A4 that isn't middle east shit color brown
Beretta USA got a crazy deal on vats of FDE Cerakote
lame, M9A4 would be instant buy for me if it wasnt exclusively the gayest color scheme around
At least it's not green or gray.
Grey would be great, actually
Sorry about you guys liking the worst colors God ever made the mistake of creating. Better luck next time.
>better luck next time
>believes in reincarnation
typical heathen piece of shit, keep my God out of your disgusting blasphemous mouth.
green is awesome, i think you might be attracted to men
brown is the new meta but they did sell some M9A3s in green for a short time, surely you can find one used
master chief if he was a handgun
safeties are fricking stupid
all you need is a dewienerer
