this OSHA shit is out of control

That's a trainer RV. It's not real. The thing it's sitting on and all it's accessories are real and identical to what real nukes are equipped with. These things may be handled separately without the nuke by other people hence the warning labels.

so it's made to look identical to the real thing, except for the warning labels?
you know, if you really wanted to be an autistic pedant, you could have zoomed in and noticed that the warning label is actually for the poisonous nature of the warhead bus's fuel tank, not the warhead itself. I was just making a joke that any normal adult would have recognized as humor, but I forgot that I was on /k/

      >weight at full yield
Weight is constant and they're sealed.
The yield is controlled by the initial neutron intensity and that's controlled by injecting tritium-deuterium in the primary pit. afaik
The other option is replacing the tamper with lead.

arent most nukes nowadays are well below 1 megaton? after seeing the multi megaton test footage i was surprised to learn those were not the norm

after a specific yield, you're losing most of the nuke to the atmosphere. It's a lot more efficient to just have multiple smaller nukes blanket an area than one big one.

And the US doctrine it to use them on strategic military targets anyways.
You don't need to kill absolutely every civillian in Moscow, just most.

at the end of the cold war something like 50 warheads were aimed just at moscow. So TZD would 100% be achived there

tritium-deuterium obviously isn't very heavy, and the plutonium/uranium that is used for the primary detonation is like 10lbs

Is actually very safe and efficient. Pure heat energy is rather inefficient, and output multiplication of steam in providing mechanical energy is honestly superior than any "magical energy" transfer.
        >alien invades Earth
        >haha primitive my laser rifle (which has the damage output of .22 short) is totally superior to your chemically propelled refined rocks!

This is pure Dunning Kruger on display and should be ignored.
