Finally added a 5.56mm rifle to their lineup. Very G41-like with the AR mag well. How successful do you guys think it will be?

Damn, shotshow is full of bangers this year, for once
its ugly
Impressive, very nice
Does it have a forward assist?
damn that's ugly as sin
>absolute garbage like all PTRs
>$1100
That’s not a lot of money if you aren’t the poorest of homosexuals.
It is considering you can get into actual operator tier ARs for that
Why would I want any more of the most boring 5.56? I want shit that’s weird and different and this would fill that void nicely if it was a bit less funky looking.
>boring
Ah, wanting form over function, and paying a premium to be a snowflake, the zoomer curse.
This is the most anti /k/ newbie sentiment ever. Stop spending every waking hour in /arg/
Found the snowflake
thats nu/k/ if your not running nods and some gucci gay ar15 then your wrong. Can't enjoy weird and unusual guns without some larp gay losing his shit.
>paying more for a worse gun simply to be a special snowflake isn't wrong
Kek
Liking guns because they're cool instead of chasing some sort of "meta" for your gucci AR that you'll never use in a combat scenario is valid. Armchair oper8ing to justify which new $500 handguard will give you the edge in the firefight you'll never have looks a lot more like homosexualry to me.
>m-muy looks are all that matters!
>I am a s-special little s-snowflake i-i know I am
>You only buy guns to look cool and get validation from others!
You're projecting there, go back to your containment thread.
You aren't buying shitty memes for validation, you're doing it to be a contrarian.
Stuff you homosexual larper some of us just like cool guns. Nothing wrong with LARPing but you’re unironically autistic if you think like this and not in a good way.
>p-please tell me I'm a special snowflake
Weird, I don't see anyone asking for yours or anyone else's approval; in fact, I'd like it even more if you just stopped posting altogether. But keep crying that no one actually likes you outside of /arg/
>p-please! I just want to be a contrarian snowflake! TELL ME IM SPECIAL IF I BUY THIS!!!!
ackshual opewatow tieww
On the one hand I really like the idea of SBR'ing a roller-delay system and throwing a can on there.
On the other hand that lower is ugly as sin.
Was hoping it would be more along the lines of an HK33, but this honestly makes more sense for market appeal.
Initial reaction is frick yeah finally MP5 in .223
But there's something so wrong and off about the gap between trigger guard and mag
The original G41 also has a gap between the trigger guard and the magwell, but it's not nearly as bad as the one on the PTR.
It's the fact that the new one takes AR grips and trigger guards for some moronic reason
they should've also made it use an ar selector just because why the frick not at this point
hell maybe even come with a tube stock
you joke, but tube stocks make no fricking sense on a gun that doesn't have a buffer tube and I'm tired of seeing them on guns that can and should have side folding stocks.
>easy, cheap ,and effective methods of attaching a collapsible stock shouldn't be done if it came off an AR-15
Shut. The. Frick. Up. Peasant.
If you want a AR buttstock get a fricking AR. No-one's buying this rifle for practicality; they want to larp as the Bundeswehr that never whas.
>poor gays: the post
None of you homosexuals are buying this gun anyways. Stick with your cringe PSA rifles and frick off.
Ok have fun with your
>easy, cheap, and effective
methods of getting around the fact that you have a tube sticking out of the back of your gun that's necessary for it to function and cannot be removed. Cope harder ass monkey
NTA but if you're gonna have a stock back there a buffer tube isn't really a big deal. Folding your gun really only makes sense for two conditions..
>Transport/Storage
>Shooting from incredibly tight spaces like within a vehicle
Incredibly niche cases if you ask me. Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer PTR to release a correct version of the G33/G41, but if throwing on a buffer tube stock would drive down costs, I don't see why not.
Oh it's certainly not a big deal except if you're in vehicles a lot. Other than that it's a matter of preference. But a buffer tube on a gun that doesn't need one still looks silly and it's just funny to see homosexuals seethe when you dare to suggest that any attribute of the AR's design is even the smallest downside in the most niche situation.
Because ARbabbies lose their shit at anything not being an AR
Nah, I just like quality 10 dollar mags and pouches they fit in.
>Billy bobs "surplus" stanags or cheap ass magpuls are "quality"
Kinda sad tbh ne
The mags are fine, but the grip and trigger guard make it look like shit
it looks like they just modified a G3 frame instead of getting 33 tooling so the frame has an inch of space
Oh, that would suck. Who wants 9-lbs+ 5.56er?
thats basically what 20 inch A2 barrel ARs weigh
and what AKs weigh
Hard to tell due to angles, you may or may not be right.
>G3 frame
lol you mean the receiver? If you don't know what you are talking about then at least use the proper terminology. Stupid armchair gunsmith wienersuckers.
That trigger housing looks like aids, but it is interesting they are going for a G41-esque clone since that's never really been done before.
I would be more interested if they made G41-style furniture for it because good fricking luck trying to track down original G41 parts.

It’s interesting but I’m not entirely sold on it.
Price?
Anything over $800 and it's a guaranteed flop.
No MSRP announced that I can find, judging by their x51 and x39 gun prices, MSRP will probably be ~$1500
So street price ~$1300
Absolutely ridiculous.
wait, I'm a little out of the loop. Are the PTR-91s $1500 now?
That's the MSRP in their website as of 10 min ago.
wow, there went 90% of the appeal of buying one.
At least the .308 $1500 is sorta competitive.
But the 5.56 and 7.62x39? Jesus christ.
What about Century bringing in MKE-made HK93 clones? They gonna announce it soon or what?
Last news I heard was they were still awaiting ATF approval for import.
Hopefully we'll see them start coming in sometime this year.
>6 MOA 5.56 gun for the price of a premium AR
Is this some sort of intentional failure for a tax wright off type thing or what?
~$1300 is premium price AR? Is that some sort of poorgay cope?
>Black personhomosexual forgetting BCM uppers are ~$1000
No, a stock bcm 16" complete rifle with a rail you "probably" wont replace is $1600. DDM4 is 1900. Noveske is around the same and SR-15s are $3000.
$2000 is basically just your ticket to the serious owner club. With an optic, can and full powered laser, sling, case etc you'll probably be closer to $7-8k invested, although everything else can be moved around.
My rifle without optic was around $2300 in parts I picked out specifically but it does the same thing as any other AR, really.
>6 MOA
More like 1-1.5 MOA.
If accurized, 2 is best you're getting.
While I get why you'd want the new trigger housing, I can't get over how fricking ugly it looks. Still cool though.
I hope they eventually make something like this with a regular HK trigger group, or maybe even a G41-style gun.
This gun is embarrassingly and horrendously ugly.
PTR and DSA have always been cringe-lite for the shit they put out, but this.
This is Brazil/Pakistan/Hollywood frankenstein gun shop level ugly.
I would rather get another job at another gas station just to get scalped buying a 93 off hkpro before I would even be seen at the range in my stained sweatpants holding that thing.
What shop monkey moron held this up at the end of the day and said “that’ll do it”?
Why try to square a round hole?
I love a company named their product line "Precision Target Rifle" and they can't make a single product better than 3 MOA
Lmao
Kinda neat some edgy guy made "Raven" .25 pocket guns, complete failure, then arose Phoenix Arms in .22 for $120 and they can't even sell those to anyone
That's not true, but the name is still pretty funny.
