Unironically this, they will be the only industrialized nation with significant manufacturing to survive un-nuked and will sell all of the everything for the next decade.

Bold of you to think South Africa won’t immediately side with the east

Venezuela's was right-wing (and prosperous) at the time. Hugo Chavez was just a colonel (granted he had already been brain rotted by Communism and was scheming to overthrow the government).

After about 1965 the Soviets weren't going to win a land war in Europe.

even the most cataclysmic third world war wouldn't have 100% of the world on a side, most of africa and south america would be neutral or busy killing each other while everyone's distracted

Wasn't the Soviet Union on the brink of defeat in Afghanistan by October, 1987?

the ussr and america were never on the brink of defeat in afghanistan at any point despite the end result. moreover, the puppet regime the ussr propped up had a sizeable military and survived for some years after soviet withdrawal so its safe to assume they would be on the reds side in this scenario.
the map is still moronic but this part makes sense.

    Your thread is moronic.
Just read Red Storm Rising and Red Army to have your bases covered.
Team Yankee is a good addition, too.

China and Yugoslavia would probably side with whoever they thought was winning
Vietnam and Cambodia would be fighting each other, so one of them is the wrong color
Iraq and Iran would be fighting each other, so one of them is the wrong color

Finland and South Korea would come out on top, US, Russia and China would be destroyed. South America would not participate but also would not benefit from not participating somehow
