There's probably cheaper options. I think you can still find pure wool surplus ones.
I trained myself, after years of waking up with numb arms and trying to roll over by using numb arms to push my body up, to come out of sleep paralysis through sheer force of will. One time I thought the grudge girl was crawling on my floor but froze mid crawl because I woke up and saw her, then I just got angry and lifted my body up and the paralysis wore off. Eyes were locked on her the whole time but once I snapped out of it, it was just a pile of clothes on the floor.
checked and anon, I just moved to Colorado springs. Are these shirts worth the ludicrous wait times? I have met 3 people in town talking about them and I can't tell if they are good or just homosexual shit
People who go around talking about clothes are into homosexual shit. I know Americans are used to hyper-consumption, but most of the time, a shirt is just a shirt.
yeah one of them was a literal homosexual so no surprise there, but some gear is definitely worth it. Although looking at their website, it looks like normal, locally made warm hoodies.
They're just using polartec which is the og fleece brand. If you are into wearing plastic it's the best for durability. Just read up on materials and made sure it is what you want. I prefer classic fleece cause it's the best blend to match wool in high breathability to some of the other fleeces that trap too much heat. Other companies are too stupid and switch to generic China fleece.
Swazi uses polartec fleece. Used to be made in nz but now Thailand. Owner is a homosexual but good designs. The heavyweight shit they use is the same material that the 1990s fleece that people still use to this day on shit like the synchilla from gayagonia. Polartec used to be called Martin mills and made fleece on a joint venture with Patagonia. Don't think synchillas use polartec anymore though.
Taiga is Canada German that uses polartec. Okay designs
Marine Corp also had a surplus polartec jacket that is an amazing design because it has giant pit zips. I always find fleece a bit too warm so this is a godsend. Guaranteed to preserve your innocence too.
Ps fleece is a hair magnet and campfire will frick it up
>I live somewhere that secondhand shit is expensive so that's how it is everywhere else >muh larp
You know you don't HAVE to post, right? You can just choose not to.
I bought the french one for 12€ and it's great. I can wear It innawoods while it's raining and It keeps me warm. Once you get used to the itches you never go back to p*liester
I was so disappointed to find out Varusteleka joined NATO. I was legit going to move there and was learning Finnish just bc I like puukko culture so much.
May as well stay in USA for now until another country manages to captivate me with no obvious shortcomings.
Don't get me wrong. I love my country, but I hate what it's become.
>I was legit going to move there and was learning Finnish just bc I like puukko culture so much
No, you were not. You were going to fantasize and day dream like all mutts do because your country is a cesspit and it is so because of meme homosexuals like you. You can't escape your own self.
Now what does this have to do with woolen jerseys?

No shit Ukraine is selling it all, idiot.

The only thing stopping cuckleka from giving your money directly to the ukies is a Finnish law that forbids companies from doing that. Now that the Finns are going to be NATO vassals, that might change.
i wear a henley version of this as my snowboard midlayer and my mushroom hunting mid/outerlayer. also milsurp rain pants. i look like a goon but i spent like 50 bucks on my whole setup while people be spending 300+ on pants alone.
these USMC surplus sweaters are the only piece of milsurp i can really appreciate. except mine came very shrunk (yes i know it's supposed to fit tight), so i had to soak it in a shit ton of hair conditioner then wear it wet until it reformed to my body, imbuing it with a smell
olive drab is my color of choice for outdoor gear, though blaze orange is choice for things like guylines, rape whistle, tick key, etc. i'd thought of camo but multicam sticks out like a guy in a pickup truck with a coleman propane burner, and realtree is unobtanium
Would acrylic make a huge difference to wool? seems like the military is starting to adopt it more and more.
while some milsurp is well made, in general, the military gets the shittiest gear possible

$14 Canadian heavy wool shirt. It's got two pockets, the left one with a pen sleeve big enough for a Bic lighter to fit.
based. my #1 desire for outdoors outerwear, is for someone to start making cheap woolens from the felted hair of random animals like steppe yaks that have shit-quality wool
I used to get Russian surplus on ebay, but now it seems like every listing is from Ukraine. Feels like the old nigerian prince scams.
just went boarding the last two weekends. one weekend, i brought a 70/30 acrylic/wool sweater. the next i brought 100% wool. the acrylic one was worse by every metric. idk how wool does it but its much better at keeping you in that goldilocks zone of warm without feeling too hot. also, yeah poly shit reeks to high heaven after a day of sweating in it, which, because its acrylic, youll probably be doing moreso than a wool sweater.
all in all, just go wool. if its scratchy, either nut up and ignore it or wear a shirt under it.
Woah weird, I'm wearing that right now.
I don't know anything about it though. I got it for free from a clothing swap. Who makes this? I want to buy another.

Bump this also but i dont care about natural materials
Thick Wool pants are your best bet.If you don't want to be butt raped by the prices of wool "hunting" pants search for old army ones, warm and durable. Plus wool is relatively easier to mend if it gets a hole.

t. northern-irish anon who knows the cold and wind
its that kind of wet/windy cold, which is much worse than dry cold at much lower temperatures. I've been to a load of cold countries in europe and its never as bad as being inna mountains in ireland when its raining/windy. And yes, I do live a good balaclava
I had one of the spanish ones but my wife left it at the laundromat when we were apartment gays and it got scooped up
she knit me one out of superwash merino so all is mended
Wearing a roll neck one now.
Gay germ lo(uri)den < Brit wool
where do i find one like this?

probably haunted.
enjoy your night terrors and sleep paralysis, sweaty.
Wear it anyway, assert yourself to the spirits of the dead, only then will you find peace among them.

Great sweater, one year moths devoured it.
<sad>
Used to be able to find these sweaters for pretty cheap at the military surplus store in my city, till it closed down a few months ago.
Rip Andy and bax
Why hello there fellow surplus wool enjoyer.
I have one, quite itchy though.
i found one of these LL bean merino wool sweaters at a second hand store for 4 bucks
Nice larp but thrift stores started price gouging after macklemore and that would probably have a $20 price tag on it at the thrift store near me.
well homosexual THIS thrift store was going out of business and had heavy discounts before it closed.
>I live somewhere that secondhand shit is expensive so that's how it is everywhere else
>muh larp
You know you don't HAVE to post, right? You can just choose not to.
and to add to this
i bought the sweater from a store located in a small midwestern town, not from some hipster thrift store in the cities.
Merino wool sucks, and is heavier than an entire outfit. Alpaca or better yet alpha direct. Don’t make this mistake again.
you just want all the 4 bucks Merino wool sweaters for your self
I don't get the wool vs. cotton meme, I now see though that it's most likely just autism
If someone is complaining about the weight of a shirt, it's definitely autism.
weight is the most important metric for hikers, this has been the meta since the late 1980s.
just means he's a hiker.

Yes homie I want those mf Crye 🙁
Do I go black to match all my other clothes or get an actual camo so it'll be more useful if SHTF
honestly, olive drab is the most versatile shade you can get. when you beat it up and it gets dirty? diy camo. keep it clean? fine for everyday use

Would acrylic make a huge difference to wool? seems like the military is starting to adopt it more and more.
Acrylic knits aren't moisture wicking, will smell much faster and are vulnerable to fire. It's a cheaper, lower quality material.

Frick, I wish I never turned mine back into stores.
What kind of stuff do they let you walk away with, versus stuff they keep track of and want back?
I have one of these. Got it from a military antique store.
What about pants? I need silent warm cheap pants that are sturdy enough to handle branches ans thorns
Bump for this. Bonus points for natural materials.
Bump this also but i dont care about natural materials
Bump but I specifically want loud pants

The only reason someone would use synthetics over wool is weight, anything else is a cope
Got those in the army back in my day, kinda sucks.
Quite heavy, itchy and not that warm.
What would be a better alternative in your opinion?
Germ porker or proper British? Brit ones are better.

They are easier to get in EU, but go to your local army surplus store and ask. They might have something alternative/better like
looks like the s.t.a.l.k.e.r default sweater
Good ol' HMAK sweater.
Thx for this thread, saw it a few weeks ago and copped one
