Serious question. Why don't cops use katanas more often? They are more effective than tasers and nobody is going to charge a guy with a katana. Just unsheathing it would be enough to subdue most criminals
To use effectively, katanas have a prerequisite language proficiency in Japanese.

they would have if they felt the slightest bit threatened by him that's how serious they took this guy
For anyone who doesn't want to open Youtube, here is the description to explain the incident:
Los Angeles, California — On October 18, 2022, around 11:20 p.m., Wilshire Patrol officers responded to the 1200 block of Victoria Ave for a radio call of an Assault with a Deadly Weapon in progress, the suspect is armed with a sword at the location. Upon officer’s arrival they observed 23-year-old Eric Herrera walking in the middle of the street holding a sword. Officers attempted to de-escalate the situation and gave Herrera verbal commands to put the weapon down. Herrera refused to cooperate with the officer’s commands as he approached officers with sword in hand.
The officers utilized less lethal force and a taser was deployed. Herrera was taken into custody without further incident. During the incident, officers made contact with the victim (Herrera's Mom) who was suffering from numerous lacerations to her arm from the Herrera’s sword. The officers quickly rendered aid and applied a tourniquet to the victim’s arm. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and transported the victim to a local hospital. She is listed in stable condition. Officers arrested Herrera for 664/187PC- Attempt Murder, with a bail of $100,000
She was endlessly mocking his sword, saying it had never even been unsheathed. His father had unsheathed his sword on Thier first date, and her son is a disapointmemt
His younger brother Tyler was being annoying and making whistling noises while he was unboxing the katana. His brother's b***hy announcement that the plastic is in fact tape and his mother's stupid questions drove him over the edge. Now, the Hanwei Practical XL katana must taste blood.
>Drop the sword
>Taser actively deployed, permitting no muscle control
Cops can't in to physiology

Also,
Actual props are for dropping the dude and not instinctively switching target to the doggo.

That dude didn't get into his fighting stance at all.
Where is the mountain stance?
Could had tanked or defected the Taser prods if he did so.
if he took up an iado stance he'd have been able to slice the wires of the tazer midair.
Bruh, mountain stance is for unarmed attacks only, it gives you 1d8 damage and forceful, nonlethal, and unarmed traits.
Where's the video of the demoman with the claymore going full Kang Arther of the Roundabout?
Why didn't he slice the taser wires with the swords before the prongs made contact?
His stance is all wrong.
Won't work without the scabbard.
