>Can I get a quick rundown?
Basically get JHP-like cavitation with better penetration and not having to worry about expansion. Supposedly, there might be some places where JHPs are considered illegal for civilan defense so these would be tip-toeing around that.

Cuck mindset, they can manufacture as much antigun sentiment as they want. By all means avoid overpenetrating and hitting innocents, but don't let fear of this stop you from carrying superior ammo that can defeat soft armor.
>Do they want more people to get perforated?
This NJ, the answer to your question is yes.

Yeah, I carry them in my LCP. People like to shit on .380, but if it's good enough for Gavrilo Princip to ventilate an Emperor, it's good enough with modern powder and meme bullets.
>Basically get JHP-like cavitation
Except temporary cavity from handgun ammunition doesn't actually leave any lasting damage in real meat. These meme bullets were first tried decades ago, and they were as much of a meme then as they are now. The tears you see in ballistics gel don't happen on real meat.
>They aren't better than hollowpoints for flesh damage
Yea that's the thing despite expansion not being in it's realm, it completely does the same shit as a hollow point but better.
I looked into some videos of XD rounds to check them out. TFB, Paul Harrell and other videos that reviewed it showed that it's inferior to hollowpoints at causing wounds in flesh and the rounds love to overpenetrate. The main reason to get XD rounds is if you can't get hollowpoints, if you want to kill as many people in a crowd as possible, or if you want a quasi soft armor defeating pistol round. Even if you're doing something like bear defence, hardball FMJ has greater penetration.

The xtreme defender makes a garbage permanent cavity though, essentially FMJ performance.

I don't see how that is possible

Because at least FMJs have more mass.

Because muscle is elastic and muh hydraulic cutting doesn't work in real meat.

I've seen a lot of people talking about shooting pigs with those things and how devastating the wounds are. >one shot and they drop >chest cavity liquefied
So are they just completely full of shit shills who bought them and are trying to justify it? Or worse are they shills who are selling them?

cavity liquefied
You're a fricking idiot if you believe this. Service pistol calibers are no where near powerful enough to do that.

because muscle isn't ballistic gelatin. the only thing calibrated gelatin tells you is relative penetration and expansion. penetration depth in gelatin is not the same as penetration depth in living flesh, and neither the permanent nor temporary cavity in gelatin have ever been found to have any relationship to actual flesh. it's just for comparing penetration and (and by extension the expansion) between different rounds. anyone using gelatin results for any thing else is either ignorant or lying.
Literally the opposite of reality.
They almost always underpenetrate, and the permanent cavity is roughly the same as FMJ.
Absolute dogshit at premium prices.
For a higher caliber, shorter carbine expected to be used at distances where drag and drop aren't paramount? Sure. I'd love to see what kind of horrific damage a 7.62x39 drillbit would do
>Phillips
Why doesn't the entire world just use Torx? It's infinitely better in nearly every use case, unless you're one of those poor weirdos who doesn't own a good Torx driver set.
It's great, as long as you aren't shooting far.

Do XD rounds have accuracy issues?

Like where. I'm in Maryland and I never heard that.
JHP are illegal for anything other than range shooting in NJ, in fact, they might now be fully illegal
Aren't they safer for bystanders than full metal jacket ammo? Do they want more people to get perforated?

pretty much nails it.

makes it ideal for 380ACP and 32ACP

Not him, but underwood extreme defender.
thanks!
I use precision one XTPs with my LCP.

You're so full of it. They aren't better than hollowpoints for flesh damage. Just better than FMJ.

Why can you people not learn the difference between the Xtreme Defense and the Xtreme Penetrator?
There's 2 typed.
The extreme pentetrators over penetrate, the extreme defenders usually don't even reach 13" I bare gel.
They fricking suck.
Unless you're trying to down a charging bull elephant why would you want it to penetrate farther than 13"?
>13" ballistic gel =/= 13" in a human target
Fricking moron.
You're a very angry person.
And you’re a very moronic person

Nobody said that they were, moron.

Would these make sense in a rifle round?
Probably not; at high-mach speeds, they'd be really draggy.

perhaps sometime after memeshit like pic related develops some plain, objective, superiority to...anything.

How has no one here reloaded a round with an actual drilling drill bit
because it's banned for it's highly effective hydraulic cutting effect.
