Dubs tells you to go into any pub or bar in the UK, and you're sure to find someonw who was on that mission and they can't tell you because of opsec but then tell you anyway.

I've read all those and frankly I still think McNabs's account contains the most truth. The others just seem weirdly jealous of him.

Overrated bong military fucking up and getting BTFO and then coming up with a 100 page thesis on how it wasn't their fault. Pretty standard stuff for the limeys over the last century.

Do bongs have their own paramilitary group for their respective intelligence agency (mi6) ?

          Anonymous

Mi6 is a fucking darkhole mate, it has basically no government oversight and Im told are basically the guys who do all the dirty work even the CIA doesnt want on its record. Ive known 1 family member with military service get loosely involved and apparently it was incredibly shady start to finish.

A distant family member was part of the wartime equivalent of MI6 back in WW2 and we -still- can't access his records.
I gotta wonder what he was up to that the government doesn't want to talk about even 80 years later.

Supposedly called "The Increment". But there's no admission that it even exists, which is the optimal approach for a gunned-up glowie cadre I guess.

Chris Ryan published a novel about that very group over twenty years ago. He seems to have a fetish for governmental betrayal.

One book I'd recommend is "The Feather Men" by explorer Ranulph Fiennes. Based on real events (well OK, but obviously to be taken with a fist of salt), but exciting stuff nonetheless. Film version is "Killer Elite".

No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is a big fat bluffing cunt. The best we can do is look at past allegations. You’ll want to read up on:
          14th Intelligence Company
          Red Hand Commandos
          Stakeknife
          Force Research Unit
Of course, it’s hard to know what’s true.

Yeah they’re all troubles related and yeah you’re pretty much correct. So little is known about them and all of a sudden they became really effective hitters and forces the provos leadership to do a complete 180 on their willingness to negotiate. Whilst not all the units/people I listed have SIS involvement it gives an idea of how our spooks potentially operated generally.

Brit SAS tried to do Euro style concealed OP surveillance recon mission like in the german forests, but in a flat featureless Iraqi desert and got spotted by local goatfuckers.
    >write up their capture as 'heroic firefight' destroying AFVs with M72s... found dumped after the war unfired
Bravest Patrol Commander of the 3 was the one who took one look off the back ramp of the CH-47 and said "nope, its shit, we're going back"
Ballsy call to abort the mission but he made the correct decision.
The rest of 22SAS then went back to oldschool vehicle mounted recon patrolling as they did in WW2 N.Africa while the B2-0 guys were getting bumfucked daily by Iraqi secret police
    >dont write a lot about how much they enjoyed the bumsex

Amen to that. I'm sure his guys appreciated it. Moral courage is often overlooked by services that value physical courage.

Chris Ryan account is a bit fucky
There was a documentary that tried to trace where it all happened, they actually interviewed the kid who supposedly found them and he said he didn't see anything
He also claimed that he killed 2 Iraqi soldiers at a water purifying plant, there was absolutely no record of Iraqi soldiers being killed there.
Not much of what he said makes sense under scrutiny but it's a good story at least.
Andy McNab's account seems pretty genuine, he's a pretty cool guy.

Nothing in McNab's book seems implausible. I've always found the beef between Ryan and McNab strange because the latter has nothing but good things to say about the former in his account of the patrol.

Because 'Ryan' bolted and left the rest of his team behind, so 'McNab' and the others got their asses pounded and toughed it out.
      >being a splitter is worse than being ass-raped, and 'Ryan' is rated lower because of it, so has to be more defensive about it.

Both Steven billy Mitchell and Colin Armstrong are liars and cowards, simple as. Both of their accounts have been proven fabrications and both are persona non grata in camp.

McNab had been in many life threatening situations before and is a clinical psychopath. I don't buy cowardice as an explanation of the mission's failure.

McNab was in combat for the first time around 15 years prior to B2-0. Or is that lies as well? I might be coming off as a fan boy, but the anti-McNab case is hardly watertight, is it?

'The Real Bravo Two Zero' by Michael Asher is hardly a conclusive work on the subject. He comes across as a salty Arabist who loathed McNab for his insensitive attitude towards the 'ragheads'

If the case was airtight it would have destroyed McNab's pot Army career. The fact that it hasn't means there is room for doubt.

      >Cromwell
      >Republican
He literally made his son the heir when he died. He was doing monarchism in all but name. Which is why he got kicked out.

STFU nerd, monarchism has at it's core the idea that ruler is anointed by God, with a divine right to his position. Cromwell specifically rejected such things. The position of Lord Protector was specifically a rejection of divine right, and the very name is that it was meant to protect the republican Parliament.
I don't know why gays like you insist on neo-cavalier revisionism. It's not like Cromwell is gonna climb up out of his grave any time soon or that the current system of constitutional monarchy is under any threat whatsoever.
