idk looks like plastic to me. hammering hot metal on plastic is generally frowned upon in the blacksmithing community, though there have been renegades in the past who insisted upon it.
I dunno the back end of it looks like an okay hammer

Funny, now are you morons gonna answer the question now?
no.
one of PrepHole's resident Helpful Boomers is bound to be along eventually. they can't resist answering a question no matter how stupid it is. it gives them a chance to show everyone else how smart they are.
you're best off waiting for one of them.
All the Helpful Boomers only help in good threads, not moron threads spurred on by homosexual youtubers.

It can only melt an area large enough to weld, blacksmithing usually requires the whole piece to be red hot. I'm not sure what you have in mind.

It would probably work for that, I thought you meant trying to forge a sword or something a tiny bit at a time, lol. For the price though, you'd probably be better off getting a tig welder and learning that.

What about filing/grinding down the blade to sharpen it? Should atleast be slightly better than doing it by hand right?

Erm, that's kind of like asking if a saw can be used in place of a hammer.
its really not designed for the job you're thinking of doing.
>those wires coming out held on by a thin metal strip that could easily damage the wires over time from constant motion and flexing or the metal strip could break off providing 0 support for the wires where they eventually get pulled out of the handle and are fricked and your $10k machine is now useless
I would think hammering hot metal on top of it would damage it in some way.
You use this part to weld anon
yeah i definitely wouldn't hammer anything on that. you'd probably be better off using the box on wheels.
I dunno the back end of it looks like an okay hammer
