I was a highwayman, along the Drin I did ride
With Yatagan and glock by my side
Many a young gypsy lost her baubles to my trade
Many a Serb shed his lifeblood on my blade
They finally hung me in the spring of oh-five
But I am still alive
ND's only happen with striker fired pistols.
Theres a study out there on self inflicted gun shot wounds and negligent discharges.
All show spikes after Glocks were used as police departments started issuing and civilian carrying.
Don't feel bad, they've happened to me a few times
>At friends apartment at college. >Just bought my first pistol from a gun show (I was 18) >Drinking with friends >Show them my new Jericho >Try to manually dewiener >Thumb slips on hammer, ND into celling Upstairs neighbors too high and drunk (underage and illegal drugs) to call the police.
Second time
>At range >Showing friend pistol >Think gun is unloaded >Point at ground show him how to wrack and pull the trigger. >Forgot loaded mag in >Shoot between his feet
Third time
>At parents house. >Just bought a sig from a guy >Get home >Try swapping slides with another sig I had >Forgot the other sig slide was chambered. >Pull trigger >Shoot parents wall
Fourth time
>At my new house >Playing with a friend's 5.56 AK >Release bolt >Slam fires round into ground
Fifth time
>Showing a friend how to use it >No idea how but a round got chambered >Show him how the trigger works >Pull trigger >Shoots round into floor in the same place as before
Sixth time
>Thought maybe the house was haunted >Grab a sig >Physically clear it, (racked the slide 3 times) with no magazine in pull trigger at the same hole >Round goes off
Seventh time
>Friend brings over a used >Glock wants me to look over it >I grab it and pull the trigger without clearing it >Didn't even realize the thing was loaded.
Eighth time
>Friend brings over his transferable Mac 10 >I had no idea how open bolt guns worked. >He's showing it off to me I put a loaded mag it and decided to try and release the bolt (I thought it shot from a closed bolt) >Pulled the trigger for some reason >Shot 3 rounds into my wall
Overall you shouldn't feel too bad about NDs. It's part of owning guns, and you should get used to them.
Ninth time >bought a colt single action army clone at a gunshow >I wasn't sure if it was one of the ones with the transfer bar safety that you could carry hammer down on a loaded chamber >hold it by the grip and slam it hammer down onto the table >turns out it was the original style because it shot my ceiling.
Tenth time >Sighting in a scope on a friends muzzleloader >My friend just got done cleaning it and loaded it in his car >he never told me that he put a primer in it, I thought he just put the powder and bullet in it >I try out the trigger again because I forgot how it felt >Put a .50 cal hole through his passenger door
Eleventh time >just bought a new RIA 1911 >try to dry fire it >For some reason the slide wouldn't close on an empty magazine >put loaded magazine into it and close the slide >I accidentally had my finger on the trigger when I closed the slide and I shot a hole in my computer

Thirteent time >see new shotgun laying on brother’s bed >rack it >oh that’s pretty smooth >think it’s unloaded because no matter how many times I rack it, nothing ejects >aim at window >pull trigger >12 gauge boom
Fourtennth time > 1:30am >spent the Friday drinking with my good friend >he's got his p226 and p365 XL sitting out >he goes to get more beers from the fridge >I've literally fingered the magwell of the p226 and racked it like a mother fricker, it's unloaded >grab the 365 >rack the slide, align the sights >BOOM >EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE >glass table disintegrate >guns, glass, beer, cards fall all around me >"DID YOU JUST SHOOT MY GUN"
If only there was some way to make sure nothing is able to pull the trigger back while you're putting your gun into a holster or just generally don't want the trigger pulled. Perhaps some kind of switch you could use to make things a bit more safe.
But for real though if "move your clothes out of the way, look at what you're doing, and angle the gun away from you" sounds like too much work for you a safety or a different holstering method will probably only delay the inevitable.
If you were a real man, your gun would live in fear of being chopped in half by your dick.
this. Just buy a gun with a manual safety.
"b...but I might forget to disengage the safety!!" That's like worrying that you're going to pull the trigger when you draw. You train to have the muscle memory to keep your bugger-hook off the trigger until you're on target. Okay so, also train to disengage the safety.
I have three carry guns, all with safeties. At the range, I never ever start a group with he safety already off. I have literally never fired any of those guns without step 1 being to disengage the safety. It's the exact same discipline as making yourself remember to keep your finger off the trigger. There's no difference. It's muscle memory.
the only difference is that you can bypass it if you're lazy. You can be lazy and burn off 200 rounds on a range day with the safety off the entire time. If you're that lazy then, just admit it. For me, it's a drill, and every drill starts with the safety on and my finger off the trigger.
I just put my dick to the opposite side of the holster, so even by a freak accident discharge, I'll get a bit of powder burn. Better than a bullet through it.
This is why guns have safeties, all the YouTube videos where a person shoots themselves are with guns without safeties or they don't have the safety engaged, whether it's in a holster or not.
To be fair, a lot of the ND videos I see are where someone intentionally pulls the trigger. A lot of them are glocks and the person is trying to disassemble them. If the safety was on, the idiot would just disengage it then pull the trigger again.

first two NDs in this compilation are revolvers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mebcvnWc7ag
>your dick does not grow back
When I was a kid I used to have frequent dreams that my dick could pop off and re-attach. Like, it was just smooth skin where the dick would disconnect. I'd play with it while it was detached. Had these a lot.
Just because you're too fat to do it doesn't mean everyone else is. Eat a salad once in awhile and maybe you won't be relegated to inferior carry methods.
skill issue
in fact, most black guys I know carry like this
if you're going to carry, you might as well amirite? lol
Good reaction image, not that I don't look like a albanian highwayman on my ID.

Black person
Have you pointed out to them how dangerous it is to carry without a holster?
Hope you ghetto rats blow your wiener and balls off
Frick you
Literal skill issue. A DA/SA has no way to go off unintentionally. Unless it's a Taurus

You put the gun in the holster beforehand if you want to minimize risk. Or just don’t pull the trigger like a moron
Why would you be worried about NDs? You're not an idiot are you?
>not worried about NDs
that's how you ND
NDs are a normal part of gun ownership.

Are you fricking serious, holy crap please die safely at least. It's only a matter of time before you kill someone
newbies should nd into their spinal cord
By simply not being moronic, I've carried my p365 appendix for a year and some change now and haven't given myself bottom surgery
Hang in there, sister.
Wow, a whole fricking year of carrying.

You're not going to shoot your dick.
You're going to shoot your thigh, which is much worse owing to arteries.
I'd rather take my chances with a blown out femoral, than a blown off dick tbh
I just put my dick to the opposite side of the holster, so even by a freak accident discharge, I'll get a bit of powder burn. Better than a bullet through it.
If youre scared of reholstering, pull your holster out when reholstering and then just put the holstered gun back in your waistband.
post your guns
oh wait, you don't own any
homosexual
I carry an exposed hammer strong-side because I'm not a troony
Really the only important part of holstering is to look at your holster as you reholster.
>But I can't take my eyes away from the danger!!!
Then you shouldn't be holstering.
This is why guns have safeties, all the YouTube videos where a person shoots themselves are with guns without safeties or they don't have the safety engaged, whether it's in a holster or not.

My carry pistols have grip safeties so this is irrelevant
Appendix carry is inherently female, as is 6 o'clock carry. Men hip-carry.
Men open carry a 6 shot revolver in a magnum caliber so that everyone around them knows better than to frick around.
>your dick does not grow back

That means your a troony
Well I'm 28 and I've never worn girl clothes.
I think I just played with my dick too much.
i ND'd a 105mm Arty AMA
