Yes, aside from the tq wrapped around the stock (which is so commonly done in Eastern Europe it might as well be the intended way to carry it) everything on that rifle was made to be used on that rifle. If the NSP-3 isn't meant to be mounted to it then why is the side rail there? If it were SVD only it'd have a different mount and couldn't interface on an AK siderail
I was specifically referring to what looked to me like polyurethane stripping wrapped around a wire folding stock to provide a decent cheek weld, not the optic. I've never seen a tourniquet carried like that, but if you say it's standard practice I'll defer.
It also looks like there's a plastic-wrapper field dressing/bandage stuffed underneath the tourniquet, which tracks for a Russian Army setup. IIRC a lot of guys issued AKS-74s did that by stuffing the bandage inside the open triangular folding stock, then using a rubber tourniquet wrapped around it to hold it in.
akgays when someone brings up the forward assist: >how can anyone use this obsolete shit
akgays when someone brings up the icepicking cartridge, sight radius, dust cover losing zero, safety, lack of bolt hold open, rock in magazines, and magazine release: >rifle is fine
>ice picking
M855 says hi, anyone that isn't a drooling moron uses SPs and HPs >sight radius
People still use irons? >dust cover
There's a side rail to mount optics you fricking idiot >safety
Guess every other rifle is obsolete because they have safeties too. Try using an AR safety selector with winter gloves on >rock in
Skill issue >bho
Yugo mags >mag release
Paddle is superior to button, anyone that says otherwise is a moron
>virtually all 7.62x39mm soft point
Woof JSP out of a SKS blows a half inch hole through a pigger. I've found chunks of heart/lungs from the exit wound and all the pigs I've shot don't go further than 20 yards.
>Paddle is superior to button,
This single statement makes you a moron, a downie even. The paddle mag is fine but it is not and never will be superior to the button. Not on handgun nor rifle will it ever be superior.
WHY YOU WANT RAIL FOR KALASHNIKOV? IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH AS PROCURED FROM IZHEVSK MECHANICAL WORKS? YOU THINK NEEDS IMPROVEMENT? THEN MAYBE YOU FIND JOB WITH ARMY OF RUSSIA! YOU HAVE DRINKS WITH MIKHAIL KALASHNIKOV, TRADE STORY OF MANY WEAPONS DESIGNED AND DETAILS OF SCHOOL FOR ENGINEERING!
OR MAYBE YOU NOT DO THIS. PROBABLY IS BECAUSE YOU NEVER DESIGN WEAPON IN WHOLE LIFE. YOU LOOK AT FINE RUSSIAN RIFLE, THINK IT NEED CRAZY SHIT STICK ON ALL SIDES OF WEAPON. YOU HAVE DISEASE OF AMERICAN CAPITALIST, CHANGE THING THAT IS FINE FOR NO REASON EXCEPT TO LOOK DIFFERENT FROM COMRADE. YOU PUT CHEAP FLASHLIGHT OF CHINESE SLAVE FACTORY ON ONE SIDE, YOU PUT BAD SCOPE OF AMERICAN MIDDLE WEST ON OTHER SIDE, YOU PUT FRONT PISTOL GRIP ON BOTTOM SO YOU ARE LIKE AMERICAN MOVIE GUY JOHN RAMBO. MAYBE YOU PUT SEX DILDO ON TOP TO FRICK YOURSELF IN butthole FOR MAKING SHAMEFUL TRAVESTY OF RIFLE OF MIKHAIL KALASHNIKOV, NO?
RIFLE IS FINE. YOU FRICK IT, IT ONLY GET HEAVY AND YOU STILL NO HIT LARGEST SIDE OF BARN. GO TO FIRING RANGE, PRACTICE WITH MANY MAGAZINE OF CARTRIDGE. THEN YOU NOT NEED DUMB SHIT PUT ON SIDE OF RIFLE.
what's the problem? it's not tapco shit, it's stuff intended to be used on it
I mean he's not wrong

Have you seriously never seen a soviet tourniquet and bandage wrapped around a stock?
How fricking heavy is that thing
That was from an era when all the aftermarket parts for AKs were either airshit-tier garbage or surplus
Malnutritioned sub iq gremlins. If this was smart, we’d still be using M1 Carbines with massive IR illuminators like on Iwo.
Okinawa* pic rel
Itd be fun to build one of these but with a modern, chonky IR floodlight and scope

>drooling moron can't use Ammoseek
yeah you can get notoriously inaccurate Tula HP or dollar+ a round brass HP.

HK93 owner speaking.
Don't care, suck a fart, paddles are still below the button.
>suck a fart

>icepicking cartridge
5.56x45 AKs exist, this isn't 1972 anymore
>rock in magazines
A superior system
