They are just copying others. Where is the unique locally produced look? Why does he have wings? I'd rather my SF spend that time training on close combat skills than jump training.

Jump training is a useful skill for special forces but it also serves as a gate to keep our those who are unwilling to even complete jump school, ensuring your selection has a higher motivation.

The entire country of Israel is smaller than most airfields. You could literally walk from the Egyptian border to Lebanon in a shorter timeframe than it would take to fill a single plane with paratroopers in a spontaneous wartime jump

          >because dropping troops via plane is only about saving time
          >and not about bypassing ground forces or land obstacles
          >that's why they didn't bother with paratroopers at Normandy because they could just walk up the beach-oh wait

or reduce infantry casualties from a frontal assault

or destroy artillery batteries and munitions depots

or destroy vehicles to prevent enemy retreat

or any number of other reasons beyond just saving time

Or drop into an entirely different country and execute an assassination or sabotage mission.

WOAH there big fella the IDF exists purely to resist the unfounded and hate-fueled aggression of their neighbors. They would never operate outside of their borders like that.

The point of the cord is making it difficult for someone to loot your rifle off of your corpse. That probably does make it a bit awkward to use with a sling.

                >cut it with a knife in 2 seconds

dafuq....I feel like there must be some other reason

Look at footage of IDF actually patrolling (not a photo-op) when they're not actively at war. Their rifles and pistols all have lanyards. It could also be the case that command REALLY doesn't want people setting their rifles down for any reason.

its a retention cord. it keeps the gun retained to your body.

They do jump training because they may need to jump one day and need to be ready to go as soon as possible.

lmao they got BTFO by civilians and police with small arms, the only thing Hamas is good at is exacting like massive pussies, but that's Mudslime culture for you, no warriors only cowards who target easy prey like children and the elderly.

It's not tied to his back like that other moron said, it's how they mount their slings.
Connect some paracord between some point in the gun to the hook of a sling, some make it longer, some make it shorter based on preference, dude in OP opted for longer
