Yet another war that demonstrates that you simply cannot overcome defenses or take ground in modern warfare without a massive superiority in the air. I don't know why countries still invest in tanks and super high tech AFVs when the only thing that truly matters is controlling the skies.
>bloody bastard b***h
There's something childlike and sincere that I love about Indians. They lack that cynical irony of Westerners. For them Ukraine v Russia is just cool explosions, helis flying around, and tanks fighting. What's not to love?
A little part of me wishes I could zap myself with a gun and become a sub 90 IQ indian and just enjoy life instead of being aware of my hellish existance.
>mfw pajeets are only shilling for Putin because they want the bad guy in the cool action movie to feel more plausible as a threat
please understand sirs, very bad day in holy India
>so much shit on the tracks it derails
this can't be real
Dunno if it derails trains, But I betcha that a lot of track shitters get sucked in by the air wave a train creates and then get crushed under it.
And then MAYBE that additionally can create a derailment.
>bad guy
You're as childish as that other guy is calling Indians. Real life isn't a marvel movie
learn to read and try again, homosexual

LMFAO
I swear this picture was like at -45 yesterday
Inflation.
Its stupid these threads get removed, this dude is right and this offensive is unironically the nail in the coffin for offensive mechanized movement without air support or dominance. Stop deleting jannies
Ok Pidor
Another thread that proves the correlation between vatnik cope threads and how bad they're actually doing.
It's like a group of monkeys screaming and throwing shit when their pack is getting eaten by a superior animal.
Tanks and other armored vehicles are still good investments.
Well, as long as they're properly complimented in this ever expanding combined arms warfare.
Yes just like a massed infantry charge is still a good strategy after WW1.
Its a totally fallacious thought process. Yes tanks are still weapons. Great weapons even. No they're not effective anymore.
Welcome to the new paradigm.
APOLOGIZE
I remember I once put a shitload of M1s on a coastline and volley fired into a naval Black person spamming redfor ships.
Good times.
It's fairly easy to deny air assets in that game.
Just a little surface to air macro and you can completely cuck anyone who relies on strike aircraft, SEAD is quite weak against good players.
SEAD + precision artillery is a good combo for fricking with AA builds.
Plus if you have A-10s plus prowlers loitering 1km behind your front line they are pretty hard to kill quickly
have a nice day, eugene
i suspect this is a thinly veiled pro zigger thread but op has a point - ukraine should have had those jets months ago, would be using them now if they did, and the west should stop shitting about and give ukraine everything they need right away.
enough of this bullshit already.
>le zigger
You're a worthless moron
It's a zigger thread because it's concluding the counter offensive is fricking over already when it has barely begun, treating a few CRPs that ran over mines as le decisive ultimate defeat of Ukraine and evil HATO.
Brown homosexuals
Yes, yes they are.
as if they haven't been spamming the same formation of tanks from different angles for hours now, the zigger hives are incredibly active right now because they got a small victory and are working hard to duplicate it in the copy machine.
its biobot and
regular bots intermixed with zigger parasites who do it for free
weibo translate hahahahah these people are fricking incompetent.
why do they even bother shitting up this website? nothing culturally relevant happens here anymore, probably not even .001% of the US population uses /misc/ regularly
its everywhere and always spikes when it is work hours in the moscow time zone supplemented with automated xigger and poo bot networks. Pure shotgun spam trying to force some narrative I guess? But they are also spiteful and petty little wienerroaches so they take any win they can get to be as obnoxious as they possibly can
kek, picrel
One week of sitting in a beanbag and they'll be begging for a comfy assignment to bakhmut
>Chink spammer
>40 networked phones with automation scripts and whatnot
>zigger spammer
>some random shitposter on a beanbag
>beanbag
that must be one of the nicer operations
nah they mean beanbag literally, it's just a bag full of black beans
Try to control the sky over the immense lands of Russia
most countries simply cant afford an air force of appropriate size. or if they do, they ususally skimp on training or maintenance.
>Yet another war that demonstrates that you simply
yet another thread that demonstrates zigger shills are deperately posting in order to avoid being conscripted, droned, and eaten by dogs.
My new favorite hobby is not keeping up with Ukraine at all and trying to figure out what's going on based on moronic /k/ threads like this one
Planes and pilots are ridiculously expensive. Tanks and infantry are so much cheaper. You can buy new guns for every infantryman and it would be cheaper than a jet.
guess this is why ukrainians were begging for f16s since the moment russia invaded.
Please name one time in history where a modern air force was able to take air superiority against modern anti air systems? The reality is that no modern plane stands a chance against even Soviet era anti missile systems. F-22/F-35 would be pointless in Ukraine as they would all be shot down in seconds even by old Russian anti-air systems. It's easy to point at things like Iraq and Afghanistan that had limited if any anti air capabilities. This is not good evidence. There is a reason nobody is giving Ukraine jets and it's because they don't work. Modern wars are won with rocket artillery and long range precision missiles.
desert storm?
>inb4 THOSE WERE EXPORT MODELS!
They did not have modern anti-air systems... nobody is disputing that they are effective at smashing underfunded 3rd world militaries and mud huts. They are pointless against anyone semi competent.
But I thought that
>F-22/F-35 would be pointless in Ukraine as they would all be shot down in seconds even by old Russian anti-air systems
And yet F-15s and F/A-18s weren't shot down by old Russian anti-air systems?
Baghdad's IADS was one of the most heavily guarded air spaces in the world.
>They did not have modern anti-air systems... nobody is disputing that they are effective at smashing underfunded 3rd world militaries and mud huts. They are pointless against anyone semi competent.
Iraq were a rich oil producing country (20th richest country in the world when invaded, even higher ranking when building their army). They controlled 20% of the world's oil supply.
When the US invaded they had the 4th largest military in the world. Their army and air force were both larger than Russia's today (10 fresh strength armor and mech divisions, 20 fresh strength mot/para/lt divisions, 14 fresh independent brigades, 400 fixed wing combat aircraft, 195 attack helicopters), and they had the best IADs money could buy.
The reason that Iraq is a dirt poor backwater with an underfunded military today is because the US categorically destroyed the well funded and capable military they had, twice, and crippled them with sanctions and embargoes enforced with military power. 1989 Iraq would crush 2023 Russia in a conventional war, and America formed, mostly constituted and lead coalitions that crushed 1989 Iraq and 2002 Iraq, and rendered it too impotent to be a regional threat for decades hence.
Some fricking screencap this and pasta it so that these snow nigerian apologists stop making posts about muh poor, cash-strapped, militarily-Iraq who dindu nuffin but got bullied by big bad NATO.
>t. HOI4 player who thinks his take matters
>vatnig turdies can't defeat the poorest nation in Europe
>think they'd have a chance against Saddam's Big Bvll Repvblican Gvard
Literally all of this is wrong
They hated him because he told the truth
The sky is no longer controllable with modern anti air
inb4 soiperations room webm where some f16s destroy 5 60s soviet SAMs in baghdad
Doubling down, aren't you?
Largest modern air defense grid in the world at the time, and we estimates that we would take substantially more casualties. Instead we successfully SEADed and then maintained air superiority. Russia’s defenses in Ukraine aren’t even half as good as Iraq’s were during the Gulf War, and Western jest are substantially better than they were 30 years ago, even aging platforms like the F-16
>Russia’s defenses in Ukraine aren’t even half as good as Iraq’s were during the Gulf War
has this board completely lost touch with reality?
>The reality is that no modern plane stands a chance against even Soviet era anti missile systems
This is what Iraq had though. Top of the line for the time, too.
S-125 and SA-6 were not ''top of the line'' by any metric in 1991
it's hard to be tested against a top of the line anything when the US and sometimes its allies lead in every category. US will never face the world's best SAMs because those are installed on US ships
thats great, but they werent even facing the worlds second best SAMs in desert storm, not even close
Please name one time in history where Russian Air defense was able to stop modern air force?
Pro tip: you cant.
ukraine
>Pussian Air "Force"
what am I watching?
Russians Airforce technical capabilities, tactics, procedures and training caught on camera in the Belgorod
zoom zoom
this explains a lot. I had been wondering why an extended incursion in the direction of Belgorod was possible, thinking that Russia would risk its aircraft due to the circumstances where it had previously been very conservative. Now I see that they *did* make use of their airpower, it just was ineffective. Well, this time it was anyway. I'm a bit skeptical incidents like this or very experienced pilots crashing into a drone flying in a straight line are the result of limited flight hours alone
the gap then between the US and Iraq is about the same as the gap now between the US and the country with the second best SAMs
Is the implication then that the Ukrainians newly trained with double digit numbers of f16s will just be able to ignore Russian surface to air systems (controlled by Slavs, not sandBlack folk)?
This does seem like a massive stretch
>F-22/F-35 would be pointless in Ukraine as they would all be shot down in seconds even by old Russian anti-air systems.
you're a fricking moron, holy shit.
>F-22/F-35 would be pointless in Ukraine as they would all be shot down in seconds even by old Russian anti-air systems
F-117s literally flew circles around Baghdad during Desert Storm, which was the most heavily defending city on Earth at the time. And those are dated planes. There's a reason stealth is so important, and that reason is because it works. You're either a moron or a shill
>Russia
>modern
Hehehehheh, but more importantly
>Desert Storm
>Serbia
And the second was a war purely fought through AirPower. Nowadays our ECM and EW methods are so advanced that F15/16s could crush ANYTHING the Russians are fielding, so no doubt the F-22, F-35, and even B-2 would clown on these fricking monkeys.
Desert Storm Iraq would have raped a Soviet air attack, it's just that the USA is so much more advanced than the competition
>Yet another war that demonstrates that you simply cannot overcome defenses or take ground in modern warfare without a massive superiority in the air. I don't know why countries still invest in tanks and super high tech AFVs when the only thing that truly matters is controlling the skies.
you cant control the skies, if you cant control the ground
this has been the primary lesson of this war so far, for both sides
alright how far did the ukies break through
Apparently the destroyed convoy wad geolocated 10km behind Russian line. Make that as you will.
Why didn't they just delay the counter offensive until the f-16s were ready?
Because this isn't a real war. It's a psyop as evidenced by the over the top amount of shilling.
I mean, it does seem the Ukes have lost a number of armored vehicles in the past couple of days. Many of them being western donations like Bradleys and Leo 2s. Why are they being deployed if they haven't started the offensive yet?
I have no idea dude. It still puzzles me as to why it's so difficult to get any solid information about what's actually happening in a world completely saturated with recording devices. I don't mean drone killings or the Gopniks de-balling some motherfricker. I mean ACTUAL info as far as territory held, etc.
> It still puzzles me as to why it's so difficult to get any solid information about what's actually happening
I mean, the situation is constantly changing and people are trying to maintain some opsec so it's reasonable that it will take some time to find out what's happening. Even the first few days of the battle for Kiev were filled isn't conflicting reports, with a more detailed picture being pieced together months after the fact.
>Detailed picture months after the fact
I don't buy that. There are ostensibly thousands of combatants on both sides who would know what's what on a day by day basis that would leak the info on social media. No one can keep their mouths shut these days. We knew more about what was happening in real time during WWII than this war and that was the age of analog radio and telegraph. Not buying it.
I doubt the average soldier knows much more than we do. Honestly probably less as theyre more concerned about whats happening on an extremely local level and not a strategic one, 90% of the average experience is either sitting around bored or being told to move to a certain position with it without really knowing why
The Ukrainian counteroffensive is eating shit as to be expecting from everyone who isn't a moron, but to say you can't do it without air support is dumb as well. The Germans figured out how to do it back in WWI with stormtroopers. It's called actual small unit tactics, not "lets send the next wave in".
>Yet another war that demonstrates that you simply cannot overcome defenses or take ground in modern warfare without a massive superiority.
Here, fixed it for you.
Is /k/ coming to the point where they have to cope and claim Russia doesn’t produce extremely advanced anti-air systems? Is the cope that because Iraq (literal sandBlack folk) couldn’t handle the USA, this means that Ukies with double digit numbers of F-16s could just fly undetected in the face of S3/400s? Expected better…
>doesn’t produce extremely advanced anti-air systems? Is the cope that because Iraq (literal sandBlack folk)
Slavics are moronic as sand Black folk. Soviets criticized egyptians pre-yom kippur and took up mig to fly against tiny hats and ended up getting rekt by tiny hats in planes. Slavics are Black person tier.
Who controls the skies over Ukraine? It’s not the Ukrainians, not the Russians either. If anything it proves that you still need tanks and the like.
I'd probably wait till the offensive culminates or even comes to an end before making proclamations about warfare in general, anon. Losing a company's worth of vehicles when you ostensibly have 9 brigades set aside for the offensive is something that can be absorbed without issue. Question is whether it becomes a pattern of failure, because a lot of incidents like that suddenly become a massive issue
