Can someone explain to me why the popular narrative is that the Houthis won the Yemeni Civil War? Aside from Sanaa they only control some shitty tribal northern areas they already had Influence in.

because the Saudis and others weren't able to restore government rule
which is a partial victory
>because the Saudis
BS. because israelite Clinton backstabed the whole negotiations in Yemen back then. After that every went to hell until right now. Now Yemen will frick USA back until it surrenders.
history how USA israelites fricked up major in Yemen:
from oldest to newest..
whole action with Yemen during last 30 years costed US taxpayers over 400 billion dollars.
>400 billion over 30 years
Literally no one cares about that
>roughly 12 dollars a person spread out over 30 years
OH NOOOOO! What are we gonna do?
Ya man my breakfast costs about that but this turdy thinks it's breaking the back of the American economy. What a deluded gay
>Yemen will frick USA back until it surrenders.
Hahahaha, he actually believes this.
>Hahahaha, he actually believes this.
watch the cabal dumping Joe in next 2 month..
"Yemen" is a modern affectation. Pic related shows the situation pre 1990. Houthi, etc. governments in the same places, everything the same as now. The names change, some islands maybe ,some kilometers of border.
Who was the idiot that didn't name them East and West Yemen?
because the only care about the western part i guess
Probably the same idiot that came up with "North Macedonia" without a "South Macedonia".
nah that's just a compromise so slavshit larp doesn't deteriorate into actual territorial claims on greece and the near east
There is a south Macedonia it's called Greece
In a just world, "North" "Macedonia" would be called "Southwest Bulgaria".
the two provinces on that map labelled "Hadramut" and "Al Mahra" actually used to be part of a third country up until 1880 or something. It's mostly desert. When you take it out, you can see how South Yemen is just the little strip that really is to the south of North Yemen.
Bonus: the city of Aden used to be a colony of the East India Company. When the British took it over, it became a colony of a colony.
Fun fact: The Republic of South Yemen is the only communist state to have existed in the Middle East.
And they want it back.

Although, considering what's gone down there since reunification, I can kinda see why they'd wish that.
Some poor ass goat herders in some shithole desert are making Israel and USA seethed uncontrollably again, that’s funny enough for me. What is the US gonna do? Drop some bombs on their shithole? It’s already fricking broken ass desert.
>thinking anybody cares about the opinions of an esl turdie
They are Iranian proxies and they are seething over Israel finally finally exterminating the rats in Gaza.
The military switched sides and stopped giving a shit iirc
(for those unaware, yellow and red areas basically ally together these days against the houthis)
Yellow are UAE mercs aren't they?
Because almost all the important cities, roads, settlement areas are controlled by Green on that map.
The huge red part in the east is essentially empty desert.
Yellow has the second city of Aden, but nothing more. They are Seperatists that do not care about fighting the Houthis or anyone else as long as they are left alone
The only 'opposition' to complete Houthi victory is the small red bit on the western coastline with Taiz and the town of Marib in the center
Yes, the UAE see them as better alternative then the puppet government ruling from Saudi Arabia
Ehhhh Taizz is larger than Aden and it's split, though more red than Green.
>looks up Yemen's age of consent
How about we glass em
Although I wonder why the Houthi leadership got gaslit into believing they could shoot at shipping. Maybe they were paid off?
Another cool Yemen fact: in 42 years, the population has gone from 7.95 million (1980) to 33.70 million (2022). Of this, the World Bank lists 7.8 million, or less than a quarter, as participating in the labor force.
Further, 3/4 of the labor force is listed as working in "agriculture or herding", leaving only 5.7% of Yemen's population working in "services, construction, industry, and commerce".
Bonus: at last count, Yemen was hosting 69 refugees.
Nice quads. Another really cool Yemen fact? There is a PLA support base in Djibouti, on Yemen's doorstep.
The PLAN has one, the USMC has Camp Lemonnier, and the French and Japanese have little bases by the civil airport. The Ethiopians were going to get one too until they cut the recent deal with Somaliland. All sorts of fun happens at the Bab al-Mandeb!
>why can't weee be friends
>why can't wee be friends
>Bonus: at last count, Yemen was hosting 69 refugees.
How fricked a situation do you have to be that living in Yemen is a step up from where you were before?
>Marines and PLA that close together
Imagine the hate fricking
Shipwrecked on a barren desert coastline.
One of my favorite reads
Africa guess the country
>Can someone explain to me why the popular narrative is that the Houthis won the Yemeni Civil War?
Because the popular narrative is shaped by leftists and leftists get wet for any group with "death to america" as their motto.
Because in a war of independence, if you become independent, you won.
Like most post colonial countries, Yemen is not a country. It's just lines on the map with multiple people living there. What certain people want is to be able to rule themselves, where they live, there is no reason to control lines on the map
That would be a lot more believable if they didn't try to coerce other countries with bottle rockets
Almost everything important is in the green area
