A slightly larger, colder Luxembourg with nice beaches and even lower taxes.

Under the nuclear threshold Russia is a slightly bigger threat than Switzerland. It’s not worth debating, because ziggers will insist Russia is mighty and unstoppable, until it becomes clear they aren’t, whereupon the nuke screeching begins.

Imagine dropping same number of nukes on Russia and western europe/us coasts. I understand that you are an imbecile, but give it a try.

Russia has 11 cities with over 1 million inhabitants and plenty 100k-1million cities. 25% of the population is non-urban, many of which are minorities. Are you implying there aren’t enough places to nuke there?

Of course we don’t want it. But I just take a jump in the discussion because it always comes down to it. In conventional warfare there is no comparison and Russia is a middle power.

              >In conventional warfare there is no comparison and Russia is a middle power.
The truth is that both Russia and West are nothing compared to their state 40 years ago and it is unpredictable how conventional conflict will evolve. It is also purely hypothetical thing: Russia will use nukes the moment things will go south for it.

True. But both are rearming, where Russia predictably goes much further, much faster. Comparably, there is the same balance of population between Russia and Europe as between western Ukraine and Russia. Europe can therefore go further, but is also more divided. It’s hard to predict where individual countries will go, but right now the balance of power is majorly in favor of European nations. In another year, weapon production will have also caught up. Then we will see.

Weapons are only part of success. Personally, I see that noone is ready for big war except maybe China in so many ways, that I don't believe hawkish rhetoric at all, or think that this war will simply become a cover up for something else.

                Anonymous

We are not mentally ready, but if the threat is big and real enough we will be. War rhetoric is actually marginally increasing and defense vacancies are being filled. I also think the defense mechanism against shitskin invaders will improve, but there the proof is really in the showing.

                >real enough we will be
Threat is literally nonexistent (especially for you) if compared to influx of Africans and Arabs or indoctrination of kids in school. And most people understand this.

That is very true. I’m personally not worried in the slightest about Russia. But the theeat to Russia in 2014 was also not serious at all. They had no real reason to escalate as they did. 2022 was worse still. Besides maybe the Americans, we were not out for blood.

                >They had no real reason to escalate as they did.
Russia doesn't have enough political weight and competence to avoid complex crises using soft power. So it was quite predictable after regime change: Russia couldn't afford NATO base in Crimea and considered its transfer to Ukraine as an unfair one, so it used force.

The West would crumple nearly immediately under the strain of the casualties a similar conflict to what's happening in Ukraine would produce. It's not even about the competency of the Russia military but the stomach to sustain a front that is producing thousands of dead a month. Nobody in the West is willing to die for their zogged shitholes at this point, twenty years ago it would be a different story but not now.

Rare good points from a leaf. Remember how MUH FALLUJAH is deemed as some kind of second Stalingrad in modern western eyes? That was a pleasant day in Bahkmut. Specialist Sanchez wouldn’t last a day on the icy steppes. Don't think for a second that our military aged immigrants will stick around to fight at the announcement of a larger European war either.
