>2000 fricking dollars when their AK’s still aren’t quite combloc quality and the MP5/dragunov/domestic ammo is still vaporware
What in the frick are they smoking? I could understand it being around the price of a GF5, maybe even slightly more depending on quality. But 2 fricking grand for what will absolutely be miniscule at best to the real deal? I don’t hate PSA and buy from their site relatively often, but frick me that is just ridiculous.
It really isn't, the pricing corresponds to the anticipated market size. Fewer buyers, higher price. If everyone and their grandmother was running out to buy a repro stg-44 like they do AR-15's, then they'd be $500. If there's no point where the product becomes profitable to make, it isn't made, hence the shelving of the MP5 clone. Plus, they're first to market on this one, so they can charge whatever people are willing to pay.
They said in the video that they were ready to produced and get them shipped out the door. But I don't fricking believe that for a second. Hell if you look on that rifle their holding it doesn't have dust cover. which that ought to tell you something.
What this becomes really popular down the line and even gets its own general /stg?
We already have a general like /akg/ for an outdated weapon.
But this stg repro genuinely is more modern and modular than any ak trash, probably more reliable. If they could just be more affordable I could see over taking the ak . . . Could be quite a rather ironic comeback for the stg if you think about.
>What this becomes really popular down the line and even gets its own general /stg?
That would be incredibly based, however you need to put down the crackpipe right now.
yo but think about it? >threaded barrel >FOUR calibers to convert too >the design was originally made for actual professional soldiers as opposed for literal vodka reeking Siberian soviet peasants with the ak
If only they could make it cheaper. It could beat the ak at the "rugged stamped assault rifle" thing in the US.
f you think about it, the last thread on this topic was sorta like an /stg/ thread already it maxed out and here are at /stg/ #2.
I want it to happen anon, I am just doubtful it will. If enough people on /k/ get them and have enough autism to bump a STG thread then it could be memed into existence.
What would there be to talk about? There's a grand total of two manufactures of the platform, only one of which is available in the States and zero aftermarket.

Yeah buddy, I'm as much of a Wehraboo as the next homie, but clam down, the AK was successful for a reason.
Is PSA making these in house on their machines or is HMG making them on theirs and shipping them to PSA?
If the former, that's great because PSA pumps shit out 24/7, if the latter good luck getting anything this year once the initial batch sells out.
well HMG is kill now apparently and this interview mentions south carolina specifically, which is where PSA is. I think it's safe to say PSA will be manufacturing them
I remember wanting to get one of these in 2018, my hopes dashed after researching the catastrophe that was the HMG STG project. I am pretty hyped that PSA was able to come in clutch and redeem the project. Gonna have to eat ramen and suck twice the amount of wiener to get this when it drops but it seems like it's gonna be worth it.
I'm terrible at Photoshop... Could someone cut that guy in the background out by chance please? One with the gun in his hands, one without?
I can offer you only but my thanks.
Thanks!

>already exists
this actually makes it more likely they could do it by just buying SMG like they bought HMG and nodakspud. Always easier to ramp up production on something already being made in small numbers than to design/redesign something from the ground up.

This is what PSA is doing, so it is likely PSA will try to buy SMG
>paying 2,000 United States Dollars for anything PSA branded
Hard pass
This is the problem. Big ask for an already small market.
What’s wrong with PSA?
The midwit logic is that PSA sells budget gear, therefore anything they sell is budget gear, even if it’s not.
They are quintessentially a budget brand. A $2,000 rifle is out of left field for them.
>Toyota is quintessentially a budget brand. A luxury car is out of left field for them

>not available in 8mm Kurz
wtf???
He said i would be in 8mm kurtz, 7.62x39,5.56x45, and 300 blk
>Teutonic steel
>Doesn't chamber .224 Valkyrie
>Doesn't chamber 6.5 Grendel
>Doesn't chamber .50 Beowulf
What were they thinking???
>Two developed by a brit and one by americans, but he likes the names
I have a bridge to sell you.
>want one in x39
>x39 in my stock was bought before the coof
>x39 prices now are yikes
stuck in 5.56 hell
5.56 is a really great, fun round to shoot. But when it's the only affordable intermediate round available it becomes boring.
fricking moron
>PSA
>STG44
You son of a b***h. I'm in.
So PSA is producing HMGs deaign?
They said in the video that they were ready to produced and get them shipped out the door. But I don't fricking believe that for a second. Hell if you look on that rifle their holding it doesn't have dust cover. which that ought to tell you something.

f you think about it, the last thread on this topic was sorta like an /stg/ thread already it maxed out and here are at /stg/ #2.
They should scale up the thing and make a battle rifle version in .308. Call it the BFSTG.
Thats basically the FAL
eh long stroke piston vs short stroke, but who's splitting hairs?
I want it to happen anon, I am just doubtful it will. If enough people on /k/ get them and have enough autism to bump a STG thread then it could be memed into existence.
If I weren't arbitrarily IP banned on mobile, I'd bump it from the shitter every day at work.
I will be assisting in autistically bumping an /stg/ thread when I buy one of these
so will I

Anon, no. Just fricking no.
Were you dropped on your head as a child?

Hmg is fulfilling existing pre orders and psa will make the rest
If 8mm kurz somehow comes back because of this, I hope we see someone offer an AR upper in it.
I like PSA
I remember wanting to get one of these in 2018, my hopes dashed after researching the catastrophe that was the HMG STG project. I am pretty hyped that PSA was able to come in clutch and redeem the project. ok give me like 15 minutes
Legend, scholar, god.
A million apologies esteemed friend, I meant more if I could get a cutout of the guy in the back, not to cut him out of the picture lol
lmao frick gimme another second
I shall sing your praises from the tallest mountains, friend.
Here you go anon
now edit him offering it up as a sacrifice to a giant Hugo Schmeisser
Yes
im laufhin so hard
9000hrs in ms paint
Good job
god damnit my sides
disgusting. may as well just buy an airsoft replica
That’s cool, but I think I would rather just use an HK53 or 33 with wood furniture and Cold War West German kit with SS camo repro
Most of the shit they changed I'm down with. Being able to shoot it cheap and change between calibers is worth the sacrifice in historical accuracy.
>omg why do we have so many Ukraine threads
>wow its another thread about the PSA StG44!
>This is the content I come.here for
>t. terminally upset individual

You are the blackest gorilla Black person I have ever seen
Shut up Black person, it is exactly why we come here
>trying to introduce the stg when their aks still need a lot of work
>still waiting on that domestic 7.62 ammo

come home white man
Black people BBQ is top-tier, and I'm racist.
maybe im dumb but it feels like psa never gets the color right for things like wood. always looks kind of off to me
for reproductions of late-war German guns, making it with whatever you have lying around IS period-correct
But it’s so orange
Please god make a FG42 in 7.62x51 or 8mm
Already exists, they should focus on bringing things to market that don't
>already exists

Yeah like 10 guns a year for 8k.
This is what PSA is doing, so it is likely PSA will try to buy SMG
is it milled?
I just can't get over how ugly it looks.
>stg44 in a modern common rifle caliber
mein gott
psa is cool but I really fricking hate their logo and how they put it on everything
Only psa product I would unironically buy
Move over AR vs AK threads it's time for STG vs AK threads
