Even within specialties this holds true, most pediatricians are women but most neonatologists (a subspecialty of pediatrics which is considerably harder and far less conducive to any sort of work-life balance) are men. Female doctors also tend to work less hours and evaluate jobs differently (prioritising aspects such as flexibility or the fact that a clinic provides care to disadvantaged communities over salary or prestige).

my friend told me to get a full size rather than a compact or a microcompact as a first gun - something rather big and heavy, so that it's more stable and easier to learn with etc. I got a cz sp-01 and I couldn't be happier. it's phenomenal for smaller hands, grip is great, stable, doesn't kick that much. I'd absolutely recommend it.

My printer wasn't set up properly so my frame was ever so slightly deformed and caused malfunctions. Factory polymer frame handguns don't have that sort of problem usually.

I knew a woman in the Marines that randomly messaged about one of my buddies that was in and asked about him but that's about as far as /k/ interactions with women have been for me. My ex didn't like my guns and I doubt any woman will appreciate the autistic level of knowledge I have regarding German and American small arms, especially in a blue state.
I have a glock 19 with an RMR for concealed carry and an AR15 with an acog and a few loaded mags and cases of ammo. I have them for practical reasons as the world has gone to shit and the future doesn't look any better. I will buy duplicates as backups and more ammo when I have extra money.

Well not on /k/, but my girlfriend goes hunting with me all the time, and she has come to the range couple of times to shoot with my pistols. Last fall we got her her first gun, which is a side-by-side shotgun for hunting.
Don’t know if this counts but I dated a super buff ROTC girl in college and took her shooting on our second date. She couldn’t shoot for shit but actually listened to me and rapidly improved. It was funny seeing how much 12ga recoil moved her around even as strong as she was. When we would hold hands she would death grip mine and she squeezed really hard when she hugged.
I loved her so much but she did a complete 180 out of nowhere overnight and ditched me right before I graduated. Completely destroyed my heart, my confidence, and my memories of college. I can never look back on them fondly anymore.

Doesn't seem like anyone was killed in this story:
Some deputies got grazed, maybe by buckshot or something, they failed to accurately return fire and "removed" the woman from the roof and into mental health care then the other woman was voluntarily interviewed.
The result was way less lethal than I'd have expected from a crazy woman shooting off a gun at LEOs, in Chicago especially.

TBF he thought it was good but I was surprised at how shocked he was that his experience, and I guess understanding of the world wasn't a sort of default universal thing.
I knew Americans were more socially conservative than us but it was an eye-opener. Another thing was the differences in the way different American ethnic groups treated women, and probably not in the way you think - whites and blacks both were pretty chill in general but hispanics seemed to constantly be either trying to flirt with women or just outright ignoring them.
Anyway just an outsider's perspective I guess
