Russia has gen 2 manufacturing capabilities, I've read they have gen 3 with thick filmed designs though. The thing is do the Russians have the manufacturing capabilities to supply their entire armed forces, its highly unlikely thats the case. They probably will outfit most of their troops with digital cameras with decent NV capabilities but will be only used for stationary surveillance use.

I've been wondering if that's exactly how they've been working it. Get one trained crew for daytime operations and another to adjust sleep patterns to the graveyard shift and specialize in nighttime ops. Then hammer the Russian positions night and day until the defenders start to make mistakes from fatigue.
I would have thought Ukraine would leverage all the western NV/thermals to only assault at night. But all the wrecked Bradleys and Leopard A6s have me wondering...
The wrecked column happened around 4 AM judging by the recording release by the Ukrainians. Maybe they had a delay that contributed to them getting fricked.
