Way too bulky to be practical. Most I could see in actual use are power-assist exoskeletons.
Down the line humanoid drone robots could be a thing though.
for every single "what if"/stupid scenario/hypothetical thread?
so what's the point of breeding huge musclegirls to wear power armour, wouldn't you want the operators to be as small as possible since their strength is enhanced anyway?
>only people who can operate armored exoskeletons are sub 5ft latinas, petite Asian women, and probably most Abrams operators
I have no issue with this.
the elemental phenotype was developed before the battle armor
they were rocking genetically engineered soldiers first
and it enhances the users strength if you remember Starship Troopers
You lost to people who had no Navy to speak of and were almost too busy killing each other to even realize you were there, and then got kicked off your homeworlds for the trouble
Nothing beats people going to brutally murder eachother for some "Gweaaawt leawdeeer!!" using tech which has been for the most part slapped together from whatever remained in the rubble after getting nuked 3 times over during the last few ego-trips of whichever batshit insane (or mostly-sane if you're very lucky) House lord is sitting at the top of your military hierarchy
It's literally 40k but at least a bit grounded in reality
When there's an energy source dense enough to give them a reasonable operational endurance, and when an infantrymans life is suddenly worth the tens of millions that each suit would cost. >tl;dr, never - even if we can make them technically feasible.
>and when an infantrymans life is suddenly worth the tens of millions that each suit would cost.
Remember when fighters stopped being produced because pilots aren't individually worth hundreds of millions of dollars?
It's more realistic than actual mechanics, but probably still 10-20 years out. We haven't had a big technological leap recently like we did in WWI that lead to tanks. Seeing modern tanks get taken out reliably by Javelins in Ukraine might affect armored vehicle development in the near future to be smaller and more mobile with active protection systems.
Battletech runs off rule of cool anyway, so I also want 6ft muscle girls too.

considering how many times ive had to unload a LMTV with a shitload of stupid things in it without a forklift i will gladly take on of those. Do you have any idea how fricking heavy a cage full of 249s is?
uh cage its self is about what 100~ pounds? Times 10 249s and spare barrels so well call it 20 pounds a set so about 300lbs per cage.
Plus that pallet of MREs. And the range boxes and the tool kits,
God i hate unloading those frickers why do they have to be so high up?
This is basically what the current passive exoskeletons are being designed to handle. On the plus side this means the average moron has a good chance to get to play with an exoskeleton.
What do you care how bulky it is if it's something you can just step in and out of? I'll take the full small arms protection and live with getting out to fit into a residential.
Coffins, pregnancy. the founder used contractions, wolverines, blood spirits were right, the second star league was legit, trueborn milk, focht is ilkahn, garbage dumps, freeborn genes in the repositories.
when there are 6 foot muscle girls.
This is a SFW board, my dear sirs.
now this is what /k/ is supposed to be about not what whatever /reddit/fugees post about

Why the frick is early morning /k/ always so god damned weird?
>weird
its just musclegirls, dude
go the frick back
>early morning /k/
It's almost 6 PM, moron.
because it is midnight in Australia
It is what it is.
such is shitposting

I don't have a reason anon I have testosterone
Your T level will never be as high as hers anon.
You're better off with myostatin inhibition and fricking with the pituitary gland to make a gigantess instead of troonzilla

I hate Clanners
But I also want a qt Elemental waifu.
What do?
>batchall
>win, if you can
>take her as bondsman
Good luck anon
Give in.
Clan books are more interesting for a reason.
>tfw no 7ft tall Elemental waifu to smoke my jaguar and give me shoulder rides
Fricking Clanners get off my fricking board
You lost to people who had no Navy to speak of and were almost too busy killing each other to even realize you were there, and then got kicked off your homeworlds for the trouble
Better a Clanner than a filthy C*pellan or a dirty K*rita
Not by much, but still better
here have a Star League PA(L)
>You didn't pay your space phone bill
Was this you?
Batchall? neva hurd offer
>tfw ywnba Bounty Hunter in a custom powered armor (light) fighting a secret shadow war
i miss that 80s action comic style of 'everything is oversized'
https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Sternsnacht_Claymore_Heavy_Pistol
the small arms designs in the 80s sourcebooks weren't very good
>Literally, figurately and metaphysically a Mauser pistol with a 1911 slide on top
Some of the tank designs are 40k tier silly
That's why it's the fricking best

>literally an M16 with an M203 attached and the magazine place upside down like a Bren
this is supposed to be a submachine gun too
>40k tier silly
Bro 40k still has Browning's designs 38 000 years in the future
>the emperor knows
2 HERESIES, AND IT'LL BE IN THE THIRD!
Well, 40k is has like three post apocalypses behind it so you're right
It's just that good
>Battletech
>Caring about anything smaller than a medium laser
why are you even here?

Why does it look like John Travolta?
Go away clang

>trueborn milk
fresh from the source?
There won't, because there's no reason to not just build an autonomous/drone/android armor instead.
