always think resale, don't do anything that will put value at risk. These are fine and original, but if painted could be a disaster and reduce value for no upside, they look fine. If you insist, get a cheap spray painter, prep with liquid sandpaper, spray paint, install--but don't bother.

frick that it's my house I'll do whatever I want and worry about resale value when I'm actually thinking about selling it. Besides, cabinets don't really affect home value. You can spend $60,000 doing a full kitchen makeover and it might raise sale price by $5k if anything. The only major sale price factors are location, square footage, lot size, and age.
yes, and you will suffer a lot more because people tried to stop you and you refused to listen, dont paint them, yo can sand them and if you dont want them to look shinny then apply some beewax or shit like that to protect the wood. Listen to me, mate, dont paint them, you will ruin them and your kitchen will look like a hobo kitchen.
You might try to sand them back to raw maple. Chestnut stain on that triggers me a little bit. Once it's back and smooth you'll have a few different clears to choose from. Clear enamel or clear acrylic poly would look good. I would consider coming down from gloss to satin or semigloss. Also replace the knobs with pulls.
looks like either poplar or pine, both considered paint grade wood.
maple
Some might think those have too many knots and so on, I think it looks fine as is.
i agree
Nope
No but you'll be cheapening them dramatically. Your call
No, you'll go to hell for fornicating with men. Painting the cabinets won't help your case though
The stain isn't doing them any favors.
sandblast + apply new stain. they’ll look amazing
My cabinets are laminate over particleboard. I wish I had that natural wood look. Trade with me and paint mine.

why do you even want to paint them?
what possible design scheme requires the cabinets to be painted?

maybe OP is a homosexual and want them to be pink or some shit like that

go for it. they look like shit. sand, prime, paint, will look good if you do it properly
You should get a wood burner pen and ruin it.

you mean like ikea white? yes, definitely. you're basically robbing them of any character or value.
