The ones that get to see the most combat was the ones deployed to iraq between 2003-2008. Afghanistan had a very few units deployed until 2011-2013 when troop levels began to spike. Majority of it beiny POGs.

Anything a veteran gets is a contractual benefit, not welfare, you dumb Black person. You signed the papers, did your time, now you're out and you get a zero down mortgage and a couple years of college, congrats.

Do you think that working at a place long enough to get vested in the retirement plan is welfare too?

The vast majority of military members who get out are receiving disability. Chances are greater than 7/10 that he has a "service related injury" and is receiving monthly compensation for it. Sorry, bro but you're a member of the welfare class.

No, a vet gets a government handout for having destroyed government equipment.

If we gave hood rats a pension for spraying graffiti, would you call that “a contractual benefit”? It’s a payout for doing something detrimental to society, just as the vet does something detrimental to society by blowing up expensive equipment in desert shitholes.

It's like if a taco bell employee burnt his hand one day then taco bell decided to pay that employee a monthly check for the rest of his life and the former taco bell employee wore a hat and put a bunch of stickers on his car to let everyone know he worked at taco bell once and they were paying him forever. Vets are pathetic losers who never stopped sucking off the government's teet. Pro tip-never take life advice from a vet, everything they have has been given to them and their world view is skewed by it.

The are buttholes when they "insist" that they are due a discount, just like any other karen. Military discounts didn't cover everything (on top of some discounts, fees, licenes, gift cards, larger purchases like boats), and there was a period in which no military discount was offered at all.
I don't even know how I'm a israelite. It ain't my money, and I never said I denied any discount. I still gave everyone who claimed vet or active status a discount, even without proof, because they always go the manager who just gives it to them anyways. During the period in which corporate nixed the military discount, the store manager asked that we give the pissed off people a discount, but to try to use the general discount (which IIRC, was 5% or 10 bucks, which ever greater) and only hit the military discount (which was still on the POS system) if they go ballistic.

My old man is the same way. He stayed in and made a career of it. He always told me that he didn't need to advertise things like that. He's in his 80s now, and my mother bought him a Cobra Helicopter hat from the local military meme store. He wore it a few times, but usually just wears the same old crappy trucker cap he did before. The man killed a lot of people over there, and he just doesn't give a shit if anybody knows about it or not, because their opinion changes nothing to him. I dunno why you're posting Dixie to that bud

I mean, if you oppose the US Government to the point of desiring to commit violence against it, cheering for the death of its ultimate enforcers (the military) seems a logical next step. After all, the more of them that die at the hands of the Taliban or the Russians, the fewer of them your side is going to have kill in your planned revolution and the more legitimacy the government loses (on account of appearing impotent or incompetent despite putting a high priority on preserving the lives of individual soldiers for both practical and propaganda purposes), making the revolution easier still.

I'm kinda surprised it took so long for this sentiment to develop in the extreme right. The extreme left figured this out over 50 years ago and it's become culturally entrenched to the point of being one of the great enduring myths about the Vietnam War. And it seems to be the most pronounced among what you might call the GWOT generation, those who grew up in the aftermath of 9/11.

If a homosexual or a israelite repented and turned away from homosexuality or Judaism, would you accept him as a brother in Christ? If not, you’re a hateful person giving false testimony and you will be cast into darkness.

    10% for ED
    10% for tinnitus
    20% for insomnia

Nice. Now you're making close to $100 for the rest of your month for a bunch of shit you made up and no one has any way to prove otherwise and all the vets do this. The Bush Admin created a welfare class by making it ridiculously easy to get disability. Vets in the US are losers, no better than any other welfare recipients and probably worse. If youre a vet, you're a drain on society.
