>what are they saying
the moronic OP likes to hold his pistol light vertically and wants to know if that makes it an illegal vertical grip on a pistol
https://new.reddit.com/r/guns/comments/1aubhd5/is_it_illegal_to_grip_your_pistols_flashlight/
Reminder that legality has never mattered to the ATF, only what they currently believe, they will try you anyway and you will go bankrupt from your legal defense and an hero.
>drops charges to avoid setting precedent that would benefit gun owners
Nothing pisses me off more than this blatantly bad faith shit. Frick the ATF to death with a rusty pitchfork covered in AIDS.
It's because at this point almost their entire enforcement authority with the general populace stems from these "opinion letter" governing-by-executive-fiat shit where people exist in a state of either perpetual fear or in an "I'm not touching you!" game, both of which are on display ITT.
The reality is, a lot of the conventional wisdom of legality around NFA items is actually bullshit based on extremely spurious interpretations of a law that actually spells shit out very clearly.
Which is why there are literally 0 NFA convictions out there based on those interpretations. Nobody's going to jail for shouldering a brace, because that doesn't make a legal pistol into an illegal rifle. Nobody's going to jail for putting a second grip on a pistol, because that doesn't transform it into an AOW. Nobody's going to jail because of a bump stock, because a bump stock does not meet the statutory definition of a machine gun, period.
It's why the ATF is currently getting blown the frick out on all these Administrative Procedures Act lawsuits, and that's not even taking into consideration any hypothetical Bruen evaluation of these regulations they're making up on the fly.

The ATF sent two men to prison for selling a drawing.
To be clear, the auto keycard thing was pretty different than what we're talking about here. No weird arbitrary interpretation if a given item's NFA classification due to the accessories mounted on it etc.
The guys should not have gone to jail, it's a massive miscarriage of justice because the auto keycard was never and could never become a DIAS, hopefully they win on appeal at some point as the courts continue cucking the ATF into the ground. But it's fundamentally a different thing for the ATF to allege that the guys were selling auto sears than it is to allege via a very iffy reading of the law that putting a grip on a pistol constitutes manufacturing an NFA item.
Why don't you just get training to actually shoot a handgun accurately instead of wasting money on all these crutches that won't actually help you hit your target? A class is like $150-250, probably less than this clownish shit.
Don't you burgers have access to conversion kits like the Roni ? What's the difference between those and putting a grip and a stock on your Glock ? Length regulations ? I don't understand.
Yeah im euro too and I don't get why that grip on a Glock should be forbidden either. I mean I understand the switch full-auto stuff, but a grip on bottom rail ? Anyway now I really want to build that OP pic. Not sure I could find any involved gear tho.
What if i fricked your mom? Oh wait, i did.
So to answer your question: do what you want, have a good time, but dont spend too much money. Just like fricking your mom
just saw that stupid question get asked on reddit
>i'm serious, grip your pistol light with your other hand it feels so good

>Why not
Fricks sake.
ATF glowies are getting real lazy
>the switched blicky's final form
The ATF is moronic, but they're never gonna be moronic in your favor.
They were for the tac sac.
Reminder that there is absolutely no law or legal precedent saying that putting a foregrip on a pistol makes it an AOW
Reminder that legality has never mattered to the ATF, only what they currently believe, they will try you anyway and you will go bankrupt from your legal defense and an hero.
Kelland Wright got off and his lawyer was a public defender. It didn't cost him a dime.
And that's all pre-Bruen. The ATF would get laughed out of any courtroom in America now. Shit they got laughed out of the courtroom 3 decades ago.
