If we don't care about Brazil then what will we care for in this life?

Well, I think Brazil is pretty cool. I want IMBEL to send us IA2, so I can pretend I'm a BOPE dude.

It's harder to import rifles due to a combination of gay protectionist and anti-gun laws. That's why Pindad and B&T are importing FNCs and APCs respectively as pistols, and also why we're perpetually lacking cool shit.

I'd very much appreciate their FALs and MDs, though I doubt they're still in production considering the IA2 exists.

FALs have not been in production for at least 8 years. They still stock parts gallore though. They stock literally tens of tons of brand new, full metal FAL spare parts.

IIRC, there's a lot more red tape for importing new rifles. Pistols and shotguns are all over the place from Turkish companies, but you don't see a ton of rifles from that side of the world.

      >IIRC, there's a lot more red tape for importing new rifles
Yes. And this applies to all countries. It's the same reason why bizzare things like B&T's APC 308 "DMR Pistol" with a 19" barrel exists.

Because there has been a ban on the import of "assault style rifles" for like 30 years that basically precludes any semiauto rifle with a detachable mag. The import restrictions on pistols are entirely different and much easier to get around.

Not even shitty pistols nowadays. Cz has sent the 380 P-07, when everyone was waiting for the 83. Beretta has gone full 9mm in our market, and Springfield is allegedly bringing 380 versions of their plastic pistols, which no one will buy since Glocks are so prevalent

Glock has flooded the Brazilian market in such an overwhelming way that it prevents CZ and Springfield Armory to enter. Beretta is still able to supply a few of their higher end models. And Taurus. Taurus is a mainstay in here and even Bersa was phased out by Glock.

Because the ATF hates you and me.
Pistols are so much easier to import than rifles or shotguns. They aren't held to 922r among other restrictions.
