Why does it seem like most of the posts on /k/ are from newbie idiots? I constantly see the same arguments about calibers, which AR15 brand is and isn't worth having, whether or not glocks are good, if revolvers are worth owning etc. Doesn't everyone who actually shoots often realize that 99% of guns available nowadays are extremely reliable and that pretty much anything 9mm and up will instantly drop a person if you shoot them? Hell even a .22LR is likely to instantly incapacitate people in 99% of situations. As for the AR15s, even the brands that people would call poorshit like PSA tend to function reliably and have good accuracy for any purpose the average person would employ them for. Arguing about the manual of arms on a revolver versus a glock, whether or not guns need manual safeties, it's all just stupid. It's not that I don't enjoy having those kind of conversations, but the amount of passion you morons argue with is insane. To say with a straight face that anyone who owns X is an idiot is laughable with only rare exceptions, and just proves most of you are nogunz peons. picrel, it's one of my many guns that I own which are impractical for the John Wick scenarios most of this board seems to get into on a daily basis. A real gun owner loves and appreciates everything from the AR15 to the lowly single action revolver.

Most people are idiots. And this board especially is full of nogunz idiots who got all their firearms knowledge from hollywood, vidya, and social media.
All hobbyists argue about minutiae. We argue about 11.5" vs. 13" SBRs or 9mm vs. .40 the same way that guitarists discuss different gauges of strings, gearheads argue about transmission ratios and tire diameters, stereo nerds argue about tiny differences in speaker frequency response, etc. My brother is an arborist, he regularly argues with his arborist buddies about the best ropes and pulleys. It's part of any hobby.

Agreed, and like I said in the OP, I love arguing about that shit too. The way that people will say things like "Glock is shit tier and will get you killed" is when the problem arises
I have a AR15 with a PSA lower and BCA upper I built for under $500 with aero precision lower parts. Shoots straight and I’ve never had a single issue with it with over 1k rounds through it. Ive shot garbage rounds and quality rounds through it and they’ve all fired without issue. Cheap guns are the most fun.
