I have always hated where they put that sling attachment loop on these, so I've always just ran my sling through the little slot and around the buffer tube portion of the stock, and locked through the tri-glide or whatever the frick those things are called. Ratchet, but it works.
The other day, someone informed me that the gap was never meant for stocks to be run there, that it's only there for weight savings, and it's likely to eventually snap break the stock in places where there's not enough material between the slot and the buffer tube portion to support weight bearing.
I didn't want to argue with the guy that I've had my setup running there for nearly a decade with zero issues, so I'm pretty sure the risk of breakage is fuddlore. But what about the bit with the slot being there only for weight savings?
Basically 100% bullshit. If it was steel I'd understand multiple weight saving cutouts but a single toothpick-sized needle of plastic is going to do nothing. Why else would they provide a little slit that's exactly the same width of a sling?

I don't hate it, I just prefer other stock designs.
CTR for something similar to the og m4 but with better adjustment and fitment on the buffer tube to reduce wobble. QD points for sling is nice.
B5 SOPMOD or Bravo stock for the better cheek weld, SOPMOD battery/storage compartment is whatever. QD points have anti rotation compared to magpul stocks. Again better fitment with the buffer tube.
Both of these have rubber end pieces so it has better grip on your shoulder pocket and especially so when you have your plate carrier on or anything else you have on where the stock would rest on.
i hate it because it rattles. i've tried mine on a few diff buffer tubes and it has play in pretty much every direction. ive tried mine on a few different buffer tubes.
it's also missing features namely a qd socket. which is easily solved (pic rel) but its still thin plastic and a little sus.
forgot to add. ive tried nearly every stock on the market and these are my favorites. In no particular order. >b5 sopmod stock - enhanced >Magpul CTR >VLTOR iMOD/eMOD - If you dont have a beard

Looks like a gay version of the CAR stock. Sure, its functional, but aesthetics are more important than marginal increases in utility.

It is cheap and that’s the point. It’s good enough and works well enough and is cheap. Now for us, we have hundreds of options and paying a little more for something that doesn’t feel as cheap is a option most people use.
These things are goat with the mft evolve stock attachment. Gives you a usable sopmod style waterproof tubed stock for an extra 17 bucks.
I like QD points, rubber butt pad, more ergonomic cheek, less wobble.
I personally like SOPMOD stocks

I don't hate it, I just prefer other stock designs.
CTR for something similar to the og m4 but with better adjustment and fitment on the buffer tube to reduce wobble. QD points for sling is nice.
B5 SOPMOD or Bravo stock for the better cheek weld, SOPMOD battery/storage compartment is whatever. QD points have anti rotation compared to magpul stocks. Again better fitment with the buffer tube.
Both of these have rubber end pieces so it has better grip on your shoulder pocket and especially so when you have your plate carrier on or anything else you have on where the stock would rest on.
My only b***h is no qd hole.
i hate it because it rattles. i've tried mine on a few diff buffer tubes and it has play in pretty much every direction. ive tried mine on a few different buffer tubes.
it's also missing features namely a qd socket. which is easily solved (pic rel) but its still thin plastic and a little sus.
forgot to add. ive tried nearly every stock on the market and these are my favorites. In no particular order.

knights armament used to make one as well but they discontinued it. it really sucks, it makes the basic m4 stock into a fairly decent modern setup. so long as you dont have rattle issues
