In my experience it's the revolver users that tend to be younger and greener because they're looking at guns based on how cool they are as opposed to practicality. My old man personally owns like 5 glocks and zero revolvers.
I’m calling bullshit, you’re just a little princess who can only shoot full size. For whatever reason some guys like you get off on bragging/lying about their hand size. If a Glock 19 is uncomfortable you have some sort of genetic frickup giving you fricked up hands or you’re taller than 7’.
Idk man, a Hi-Power fits my hand snugly. Just because you have chubby manlet hands don't mean I have the same genetic frick up as you. Plus for me a S&W Model 19 has a very comfortable grip, best I've ever held

Of course the full size is going to be more comfortable moron, if you can’t shoot a G19 comfortably you just suck at shooting.

Could it be you suck at shooting full sized guns from your tiny hands so much as .357 Magnum hurts your fingers?

.357 is a fun range toy, don’t get me wrong, but if you’re carrying a revolver in this day and age you’re just putting yourself at a disadvantage.

That’s the issue. I’d like to give myself the biggest advantage possible. Same reason I use an AR for home defense.

More rounds doesn't really matter if you can't hit them. I use a Mossberg 500 for home defence because I'm cheap and the only AR I own has a 20" barrel

But I can hit them, especially at HD distances.

3 is the average, and mind you I used to carry a Model 65 and still regularly take it shooting so take this from someone that loves his revolvers, when your life is at stake You'd be a fool to take any half measures. If statistically you only need 500 bucks in your bank account at any given time would you bother saving up any more?

Any video you see of Black folk on the prowl the second the gun comes out one of them is already running, the second the shot goes out they scatter like hyenas. I dont think its ridiculous to carry a 6 shot wheel if its convenient. I do agree its a compromise in a few things but if your card table/car door distance from someone i agree that 15 rounds probably arent going to (always) be needed.

So, potentially 7. That rules out a revolver.
NTA but IDK man, after I put the Hogue grip on my G19 it felt both fricking incredibly huge and exactly perfectly correct at the same time.
t. normal hand guy
Meh. Nta but the 19 feels weird in my hands. I actually shoot the 20/21 frame size better. I have pretty small hands. Don't own any glocks because I don't like shooting them.
I like both. I prefer autoloaders for carry, but revolvers are more fun to shoot in my opinion.
Revolver pros:
Tend to be more reliable
Variety of ammo, ie 38 or 357
Easy brass clean up
SA triggers are typically very good
Easy maintenance
Cons of revolvers:
Typically low capacity
DA triggers are heavy
Typically limited attachments
Pros of autoloaders:
High capacity
Always solid triggers(with modern autoloaders)
Good autoloaders have great reliability
Lots of modifications
Can be made slimmer
Cons of autoloaders:
Cheap autoloaders typically suck
Feed issues with certain loads
Harder disassembly/maintenance
Pretty good summary. They mostly do better on shit off the numbers on a spec sheet. That and revolvers always seemed to have a premium on their cost so they only made sense to me if you're buying a real cheap handgun, want big bore, or don't want to have to buy spare barrels to shoot different calibers.
The same reason they call black powder chads like you felons in threads here. They can't conceive of liking a gun for its history or because it's fun or cool. They don't actually like guns, just the idea of killing people and optimizing muh loadouts.
Not to say that killing people is always bad tbqhfam
>They can't conceive of liking a gun for its history or because it's fun or cool. They don't actually like guns, just the idea of killing people and optimizing muh loadouts.
Spot on. I love collecting guns. I especially love older designs like revolvers, 1911s and Hi powers. They also just feel "right" in my hands. I know damn well I put myself at a disadvantage when I carry my revolver or 1911 instead of my Px4 or something else, but I dont care. I know how to use my shit. I just dont understand these homosexuals that act like you should ONLY carry a glock with a flashlight at all times. They act like the homosexuals in shooting games that ONLY use the META loadout by streamers and actually get mad at anyone using anything else.
They tend to be bad shots and rely on mag dumping to a ridiculous extent because it's what shit trained cops do and that is the standard presented to them
Old school revolvers generally have better ergos since their grips aren't housing magazines. Take pic related, it points like a dream and rolls with each shot when held one handed as intended (like when used by cavalrymen) due to its plow grip
Knowing this, I can take better advantage of using a HANDgun such as getting better angles when shooting around corners/cover along with having a free hand for whatever which is a lot more useful than people give credit for
Knowing how to partial reload whenever possible separates a true gunslinger from the rest
I like my p365 for IWB edc and 642 for pocket carry. OWB big frickoff revolver with snake shot and bear loads when hunting.
Guns are tools so I pick the right one for me. But if I run into a fudd or LARPerator I will argue with them endlessly. The best part about an open mind is you can troll both sides with ease

Carry whatever the frick you want, if it's an autoloader that's cool, if it's a revolver that's cool, if it's a derringer that's cool, if it's a fricking flintlock that's good as well. Just let people carry what they feel comfortable with, because you'll probably never use it in a SD scenario anyways.
no one hates revolvers. lots of people hate revolver stans. you guys literally just invent headcanon about how everyone else is out to oppress you for your superior beliefs. its why you O N L Y see threads about revolvers where the OP is talking about how cool revolvers are. literally every revolver thread on /k/ has to use some incendiary comment to draw in posters because otherwise no one would care.
Revolvers are cool and I would love to own some. I carry a glock because it's what I have and the capacity is nice. It seems like a lot of the time attackers are on some sort of drug these days. I have a particularly aggressive meth head that has been targeting me and others lately. It takes a lot of rounds to put them down. I'd rather have too many bullets than too few
>Get a S&W 340PD >Load it with underwood .357 >Have 5 shots of 550 foot pounds of energy >In a gun weighing under 16 ounces loaded
People act like that underloaded swill you find at the gun store is representative of what .357 is meant to be. Go on and use your modern 9mm ammo. Maybe that ++p++ 9mm will hit 420 foot pounds of energy.
Eh, I prefer them. Only shoot at paper, some clay, beer cans and watermelons with them anyways, so six is fine. Handguns are seriously compromised in any case, a rifle is always better if the day calls for shootin'. And not living in a shit hole with shit people helps too.
lol get with the times old man.
heh
quints of truth
oh shit i did get quints, sweet.
Well shit FPBP, BRB gotta liquidate my revolver collection
Revolvergays, how do we come back from this???

We don't.

I just like how I get to walk around with a second big dick hanging off my torso.
It’s not hating them, it’s just annoying when fudds act like they’re actually equivalent to a modern pistol.
