Should have fricking known the crab apologists would be out in full force. Crabs do breathe air and are a direct contributor to global warming based on the CO2 that they produce. They regularly cut underwater cables because they are so stupid, mistaking them for prey. This has caused a sharp spike in the price of teflon, a material that is used. Crabs are fricking moronic and should be erradicated as a species. luckily, steps have been put in place by French Guiana, in a 2014 study presented to the UN

I remember the first time I saw one of these things I had no idea what they were, I was very young. They seemed like some kind of dinosaur.
I thought it was dead since it was on its back and unmoving, so I picked up something to poke it to see if it moved.

It did, and once I realized it was alive I started to wonder how to flip it back over to get it into the water. Then some literal b***h of a woman came over screaming at me that I was harming it and that people should respect animals more.

I hate women. They should be killed.

A fricking dremel robot? That's absurdly complicated. Couldn't they do it with a single crab-shaped 'knife' coming down and cutting all legs at once?

        Anonymous

I had the same thought, a crab-diameter holesaw would be much more efficient. You'd only need one single piston with the motor at it's end, drives it down onto the crab and then back.

          Clean cut Vs crush
Even sharp blades don't cut leg shells that well

Crabs aren't all the same size.

        Anonymous

It's even more advanced than that, anon. There's a camera that scans the crab as it's in the vise. Crabs aren't identical in size, so the robot pinpoints the joints for the most efficient cut. This saves on the cost of damaged blades/wasted meat.

        Anonymous

        No.
For a start it's not that complicated really, nowadays anyway this stuff is basic. The only complicated bit is the AI recognition and implementation, but that's getting simpler too.
Secondly it's significantly lighter to move, and crabs vary significantly in size so one size fits all wouldn't work.
Cheaper energywise to spin a dremel and move a light frame around than a press style fit all.
It can also be moved anywhere, be easily repaired by small stock parts, and can be used for lobsters too.

Same reason they fear HIMARS. You're out there minding your own business when suddenly a high explosive gets dropped on your head. After you're dead, your artillery crews shoot at where the shot came from and they get nothing. There wasn't even anything there 2 minutes ago. It's a nigh-ethereal harbinger of death: high-mobility artillery is the thing as close to the Grimm Reaper that Man controls.

They don't. They fear the Panzerhaubitze, which is a much more advanced and reliable weapons system.
There have been reports of Krabs going up in flames because Ukrainians use them extensively and the system is not made to withstand high intensity combat, with at least one unit completely lost due to ammunition explosion.
In comparison, despite exceeding maintenance limits, Panzerhaubitze 2000 guns continue to operate without any problems.

You guys get that this is, at best, a mediocre SPG, right? In fact it’s probably not that much better than a MSTA. It has a combination of decent parts, but the total package is super important in modern gun systems. Note how they rock back and forth like crazy. That kills accuracy. Even tiny changes are amplified massively over dozens of km.

That’s why the PzH2K costs nearly 5m a piece. A huge amount of very fine engineering goes into it to maximize accuracy as much as possible. That means stability and correcting for minor changes in position, all while being super fast in burst firing and doing MRSI. It’s actually very challenging to engineer into a production model. That 5m isn’t just padding for MIC profits.

Most of you don’t seem to understand what goes into accurate guns. Snibbedy snab doesn’t relate to anything in reality.

One day, when this shit is over, I'd like to have a honest review by some Ukrainian artillery guys on what system is best and what features they like of each system. I guess by the end of this war they should have fired pretty much every gun on the market.

The K9A2, specifically K2PL will be superior to that of the PzH 2000 by virtue of being newer. It will also be built in superior numbers to anything Germany has, or will ever have. Know your place.

Said the same thing about Krab. Also, bold of you to assume all the Polish military procurement won't be cancelled when people vote for the EU-friendly party which is a given considering PIS has incerased inflation and cost of living and incerased taxes etc. to fund their military dictator fetish.
