Nobody hates CZ, they hate CZ owners. I remember CZ75s were an excellent rec back in 2009 and so a lot of /k/ owned them since this board was predominately broke college students and they were a solid gun that was cheaper than a new glock. Somewhere along the line reddit got their hands on it and it became shockingly noticeable where if a bald bearded fatbody with gauges and family guy tattoos (this was pre rick and morty) walked into a public range, there was a 90% chance he would pull out a CZ. When it caught on that there was a demonstrable "CZ phenotype", it became a meme and stuck. Its not really a thing these days since they aren't as cheap and the group which are nowadays known as basedboys have moved on to other guns, but the meme persists.

I don't think anyone who's shot a few different CZs over the years genuinely hates them. Other anons have talked about it, but there's just a type that got known as being CZ heads, almost as a weird identity component. It and they were obnoxious and moronic.
But my first ever pistol was a CZ-75D PCR (in college as another anon pointed out was pretty common), and I fricking loved the shit out of it. Wound up loving the P226, then 229 more, but it's hardly something I look back and hated owning. Don't know if I'd get another one now, though. Glock and and HK kinda just werk.
Ive owned 5 cz guns and have had bad experience with 3 of them. I still like them but would never buy another and dont consider them reliable or durable. As for why i had 5 if i would never buy another all of them were bought before they started breaking. Iused to love the brand until reality kicked in.

Eh, if they're that sensitive over it then they were a fanboy before they ever picked one up. How long did you own your CZs before they started shitting the bed? I want to say I only owned that PCR for like a year and change. It was hardly a safe queen but I wasn't taking courses with it either.
First 75 started fricking up around 10k and was under constant parts replacement by 15 where something was constantly going wrong in under 1k just constant troubleshooting. I was willing to write it off as sample of 1 lemon lol when the other 75 started fricking up at 7k. Then i had a 452 where the stock broke twice in almost the same location. Stock 1 was covered by warranty 2nd wasnt. Turkish walnut is shit. It wasnt abused it wasnt dropped there was just a thin peice of wood behing the bolt handle that kept snapping off. And the 452 was supposed to be the good 1 people hold in high regard cough bullshit.
The other 2 in my mind just havent been shot enough for anything to go wrong but i fully expect them to fail if i decided to use em.

CZ shadow used to be pretty popular at the local 3 gun matches. I saw this well off chink lady find a shadow magazine on ground which obviously someone lost during the match. She liked the magazine so much that she took it for herself and gave it to her daughter who was also shooting a shadow at the match. I guess you could say this bug lady was an integrity violator because the right thing to do would have been to turn it in to the owner of the range who was also the match director so he could return it to its rightful owner. The people that competed in these matches were a very tight knit group of honest men and women. So I hate CZ owners for this reason and always used a beretta 92 so no one could steal my mags. Just saying.
Never get it as euro. CZ is a well regarded brand here, but maybe more for their awesome .22 rifle line than anything else. Still, handguns are nice.
CZ is one of the largest firearm manufacturers in Europe and the world, it was funny to see it being treated as some obscure niche shit in the US for a while
