It's a sign of depression and nihilism. Most people are afraid of the dark because it's unknown and they fear what might be hiding in it.

But if you're mentally shot and don't care, it's actually quite calming to walk around at night alone. I guess you sort of become the thing in the dark at that point.

Basically what I'm saying is you're Batman.

      It's because you're a larper.
You need to go outside and touch grass. Posting on PrepHole all day isn't healthy.

their was a path like this on the mountain i lived during teenage years. i forgot where exactly, the early about it was it was just 6 meters, not elevated or depressed it was just an avenue, with in a wood of very similar sized trees. if their wouldn't have been this slightly gravelled, walk way who really just had about 2 stone all 3 cm you wouldn't realize its man made.

well man made is quite a stretch the path existed ova many years which for sure, needs someone to maintain it at least 1 a year.

          Anonymous

given that visited that wood about 1-4 times a week for many years, even though i didn't walk at this exact spot. its even more early i never saw someone.... but then again it just takes 1 day 1 guy with 1 bag of gravel to maintain it.

            Anonymous

although i only got to this place directly i remember very well that it just takes 5-10 min from the streets. so someone just needs to carry the bag of gravel 1 a year 10 min into the woods.

I'm never worried about being innawoods at night. First, the likelihood of there being a second murdering rapist in the same area is rather slim. Second, if a cryptid wants to kill me, it would be a pretty gnarly death, and I approve. See? There's nothing to worry about.

It's all fun and games until something very large is suddenly crashing through the trees. You are literally shitting your pants and screaming like a little b***h while running down the trail when seconds later it's suddenly silent. You stand there sweating in the dark confused until you realize it was a fricking tree falling down. True story.

same. i've been going out late at night (1-4am) and staying in a dark area for about 45 minutes to an hour and half, sometimes at the roof top where nobody else goes. i look at the sky, or at nearby villages. the darkness and solitude bring out the things that are clouding my mind, sometimes i cry, recall memories or talk to myself about where my life's at.

I bought a camera, and so gained another mid night activity, taking photos of the night sky, nebulas or long exposures of star trails. I do that intermittently, but mostly i just sit.

I went at night once and it was pretty scary because I occasionally heard sound of stuff moving in the trees and was scared, plus I was a bit tense so while under my tarp in the sleeping bag I kept bearing noises and was scared again, turns out it was the tarp moving against my bag with wind.

Btw that day I was almost getting frostibite, the grass was full of dew, it was like 3pm, on a mountain and it was cold, idk how much but cold bc the the dew froze, said dew seeped into my boots and got my feet a bit wet, then I started preparing my camp so I stopped walking and got my temperature down, and at a certain point couldn’t feel my toes anymore.

Then I changed my socks and it was way better, in the end I slept with: lvl1 + lvl2 + lvl7 + sleeping bag (carinthia defence 4) and I was good, but at the beginning I was still cold

    OP here
Anyone knows what the frick are these brilliant dots on the ground of the forest?

    >inb4 fireflies, you idiot
These shits never fly, even when i get closer. I didn't see any flying brillant thing on all these 3 walking nights.

    >inb4 Tapetum lucidum from small animals
These are not fricking mice, otherwise they will blink and go away as soon I get closer.

    >inb4 just some glass
I'm literally in nowhere, and these brillant dots are in several parts not just in one single spot. Also I didn't see any broken bottle glass or something

    >inb4 raind drops
Has not rained since one month in this forest.

    Also:
For some reason I only can see these brilliant dots through the camera of my phone so I have no idea why the frick I can't see them with my bare eye because when I'm walking using the light of my phone I don't see any brilliant dot.

Spider eyes. You can walk up and check next time you have a flashlight and some woods.

        >Anyone knows what the frick are these brilliant dots on the ground of the forest?

I see them all the time walking my dogs innawoods at night. I eventually got curious and kneeled down to see what they were. Spiders. Their eyes reflect your flashlight.

        >For some reason I only can see these brilliant dots through the camera of my phone
It's because the light source is next to the receiver. Hold your flashlight next to your head or use a headlamp and you'll see them too.

Last time i was in the forest i did hear like if someone was smashing 2 rocks(like clapping)

Eeyup, you guys were right, tonight i went again and yes they were just spiders. But how about the rock noises?

Also: do spunks live underground? Like in burrows? Because today i saw something that looked like a spunk: it was behind a big rock on a hill and then dissapeared and when i get closer i see like a little tunnel where covered with leafs.

Walking the forest at night is a huge part of my childhood, and then also some adult escapism.

For me the outside world doesn't exist for awhile when I'm out in the woods at night, it's a holiday away from your life. Also the potential for adventure is pretty high; between the mischief, wild animals, axe murderers, finding and exploring old ruins, etc
