Why do AK fanboys in the US cling to 7.62 when 5.45 is pretty much objectively superior and just about every modern AK-using military either uses 5.45 or 5.56? Is it literally just because they're poorgays who like the slightly cheaper Ammo?

makes bigger splashes when hitting water or rocks or anything within 300 yards really.
Also something being absurdly unavailable helps.
For some reason my local Academy has like 40 boxes of it on their shelves. Ive never seen anyone buy it except for me and the stack only gets smaller when I come through
Because the only country that manufactures 5.45x39 ammo in large quantities has sanctions placed on it.
Yes
haha big boolet go boom make big hole
because only PSA has made the only functional ak74 and most ak gays thinks imports are better so thus they never get to shoot a reliable ak74 which makes them come to the conclusion that there are no good ak74s or AKs that can shoot 5.45 reliably
A 5.45 or 5.56 AK is just a worse AR, a 7.62 AK might also be a worse AR, but it’s at least something significantly different. It’s also a lot more likely to be legal for hunting deer.
They why do all those militaries use 5.45 AKs?
Name two
Romania, ukraine, Russia, Armenia, kazakhstan.
North Korea
>a crumbling, sanctioned shithole and its former fragments
You just proved his point.
>Amerimongrel asking people to name nations
>naturally got btfo
Always makes me laugh.
5.45 doesn't have any advantages over 5.56 and is hard to get for the majority of people who own or want AKs. 5.56 can do everything 5.45 does but slightly better and it's far more available
.
>why do all those militaries use 5.45 AKs?
There's only a couple of militaries that use 5.45 AKs (the ones killing each other right now) and there's quite a significant few that use 5.56 AK derivatives.
Finland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, Serbia, Albania, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba, Venezuela, Sudan, Egypt, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Iran still use 7.62x39mm.
We are reaching levels of cope that shouldn't be possible
It's ok bros, i know 5.45x39 is hard to find, it's actually becoming unobtanium. There's no shame in accepting that, you don't need to fox and the grapes this hard
x39 is better for targets under medium cover. Like the kind that are shooting from behind that sort of cover.
>x39
which one?
5.45 is not x39, go look up some blueprints.
>5.45 is not x39
you can pretend to be moronic or accept the truth.
are you talking about 9x39 or 5.45x39?
I would buy 5.45 if anybody bothered to continue making AK-74 pattern rifles that were worth a shit.
The last good 5.45 imports were the Arsenal SLR-104's, and those haven't been imported since like 2017 and are never coming back.
And I'm not dropping $3k-$4k on a used one or a converted Saiga.
Gun store about an hour from me had and unconverted sporter Saiga in 5.45 for $1,300. Passed on it, not worth converting it myself imo because cuck state mag availability. If some poor sap bought it he has shitty Tula ammo if he's lucky since that's all that's around here for 5.45. Either that or it's still there. Either way would rather get a chink SKS for a quarter of the price than have to buy another caliber.
Lol so is this anon
actually speaking the truths? PSA AKs good now?
Youre still rolling the dice with them. They are better but someone claiming they are top tier is just cope. They will get there but its going to take time
I mean I don't think anyone is claiming they're top tier. But I also think anyone spending $3k+ to get an actual top tier AK is a genuine moron.
>I mean I don't think anyone is claiming they're top tier
Oh there are, but I get what youre saying
Don't know about the availability in the United Zog States, but BSR (bulgariaaaa) makes very nice 74 and 74u.
-t owns both
7.62 AK's are much more readily available, as is the ammunition. 5.56 AK's don't have standardized magazines and are less reliable. 5.45 has never been popular stateside, with almost no US manufacturing with respect to ammunition.
While I think 5.45 is the supreme AK caliber, it has problems. I'm fact, I do not know of any militaries that adopted 5.45 after the Fall of Communism.
1. cheaper than 5.45 or 5.56
2. more recoil (sexual arousal)
5.45 sucks ass, it's a .21 caliber cuck rifle, all the ammo is vatnik shit so you support the orcs when you buy ammo for it, nobody even makes them anymore, both domestically, and internationally
5.45 is easy deflected and blown off course by wind and fricking bushes, not a soldiers caliber.
?t=2942
>modern
>AK-using
also why would you frick with 5.45 when 5.56 exists the only thing the ak has going for it is 7.62
5.45x39 has better long-range ballistics for its superiour BC and has only two thirds the recoil. It's comparable to and in cases can even triumph over 5.56 despite its lower pressure spec.
low tier bait
>luv me ak
>it luvs 556
>it luvs stanag mags
simple as
What is it? Despite myself, I've actually been thinking about looking into 5.56 AKs.
the old yugo m90s with the plastic mag adapters. some companies offer metal ones, but this one comes that way from the factory.
it also has an 18 inch barrel with a thicker profile. it doesn't point quite like an ak, but it's good enough.
still waiting on rs regulate to come out with a rear based yugo mount.
Why does the folding paratrooper wasr cost so much more than the regular ones?
Rifles and ammo are rare and expensive these days. Plus 5.45 is at best just worse 5.56 so at least with 7.62x39 you have some unique characteristics like the best suppressor performance of the 3 and some nasty wounds with HP and SP rounds. Plus its cheap, 5.45 hasn't been cheap since the 7n6 ban
One benefit is that 7.62x39 has better performance out of a short barrel
5.45x39 is a chapter in history in the US
kind of like how somebody could buy StG44 rifles in the 50’s. Look for the new hotness like a Turk Zenith MP5 clone
Bait, 1/10.
my dad served in the USSR military
he hated 5.45 so fricking much he still complains about it
>AK-using military
>modern
Pick one.
If Im going to buy an AK I want to differentiate from a plastic 5.56 AR as much as possible and go for aesthetic and SOVL, not try and modernize an obsolete weapon. Wood, bigger boolit, and iron sights are the only way to justify owning an AK
Seriously what's with the AK bait threads?
See

It's because 5.45 is harder to find than 7.62x39
Because within an American context, 5.45 is generally inferior to 5.56 when it comes to SCHV intermediate cartridges.
There's simply been more development with commercially available 5.56 and the results are that its generally superior. And its cheaper and more available.
In that way, either you have a 5.56 AK. Or you go with a 7.62x39 AK. As the latter at least has some utility that sets it apart from SCHV cartridges.
>5.45 is generally inferior to 5.56 when it comes to SCHV intermediate cartridges
Untrue
At it's core 5.45 is a superior round
>There's simply been more development with commercially available 5.56 and the results are that its generally superior
Correct, 5.56 has more research put into it
If 5.45 was made by the West, a more developed 5.45 would be better than current 5.56
