Doesn't this statement carry the implication that their prior offered CC class was insufficient to meet statutory requirements?

They posted this BS before the NJSP posted the requirements.

We've seen similar in ConCarry states where ranges that made most of their money off of the CCW class racket literally lobbied against ConCarry because it would hurt their bottom line to have the state no longer mandate anyone who wants to exercise a right spend 200usd being told which end of the gun goes bang and then slow firing at 7yrds.

lmao, this is a breeze compared to what gun ranges go through to make sure the entire shaft of the government ends up in their colon here in Germany. During the covid hoax they allowed training only for the vaxxed and reported everyone that didnt show up for a year as someone that doesnt train, subsequently losing his "need" for gun ownership. People who think that owning a firearm is a privilege are the worst scum. Pair that with their obedience and boot licking attitude and you get shit like this.

Unironically the big box places staff are usually more helpful and have nicer attitudes plus decent prices. So many of these small stores have a mean cliquey vibe and often overprice.

The worst mistake anyone in any community that isn’t on the more niche side of things (and even then) is assume that shops and other areas don’t have the same exact issues retail in general has. Imagine working for some shitty store with low pay, now imagine that you have the government eyeing you like a hungry hawk for the slightest mistake while also having to deal with actual morons who could quite literally kill you or someone else by their own stupidity, all while the current government is doing everything it can to frick over FFL’s for the pettiest of reasons. I myself never worked at a shop or range, but I have managed stores nonetheless and knew some people who did work at said places. All that said though, as others ITT pointed out smaller venues are really just clubs made by and for old boomers with more money than sense just looking for their own hangout spot to occasionally get transfers in.

    checked, also
    >gun shops opportunists
    You answered your own question.
Gun owners NEVER miss an opportunity to frick each other over.
    > mag ban?
    > I got some
    > I'm selling for 3x mail order price
    > same with 80% ban or bump stock or brace or . . .
The fricking Gun Control Act of '68 was _supported_ by big time firearms dealers because they wanted to do away with mail order guns and make the FFL holder the toll on the firearm highway.
In this case you have a business with a state/federal protected franchise using that franchise as a toll booth.
    The market will adjust, eventually.
But time has a value. If you want that carry permit now, you
    A. wait for a better price
    B. move
    C. do without
    D. pay the toll
    E. shop around

I don't mind doing some training if it's teaching some advanced stuff but some of them are literally saying you gotta do NRA basic (which is literally for braindead or totally new people) and then another course on top of it to qualify.

You're on offense or you're on defense. Pick one.
If you're content with how things are, rest assured the other side is trying to figure out how to incrementally take stuff from you.

No hollow points? What? Do they want you to hit bystanders with over penetration?

The people who write the laws have zero clue about guns, hollow point sounds scary to them

Hollow points blow the lungs completely out of the body. I've seen it. An object that size traveling at twice the speed of sound can decapitate two, sometimes three innocent little baby children standing nearby. Many such cases. #SAD

CA gun laws have some REAL homosexual shit. But they're actually not THAT bad in the grand scheme of things. You can own just about any rifle ever made (except 50 cals and full auto, but almost everyone is priced out of those anyways).

The handgun roster is a big fricking pain in the ass, but most of the worthy guns are there (for now). You can get off roster guns, but you have to pay a premium for it.
