ARgays be like >yeah I need a CQC gun and a truck gun and a DMR and a recce gun and an SPR and a bag gun and
but its just a dozen 90% identical rifles with slightly different barrel lengths
That's fair. With heavy bullets, you should be effective at those ranges. But bullets being what they are, I always try to use as much barrel length as I can reasonably get away with.
You need the extra rail space to add more lethal attachments like bayonets, chainsaws, laser smart sights, thermal infrared nightvision tracking sensors, extra clips with more bullets, and flashlights for blinding your victims before shooting them
What kind of degenerate skips parts in a multiwork series? You need to go chronologically
We got a pretty cool option for specialized long range uppers with 6mm ARC. You want to shoot PRS, vaporize prairie dogs, or harvest a mule deer? There's a 6mm bullet designed for it from 60 up to 108gr, and a reliable gas system. Even the tacti-cool guys were screwing around with 6mm SBRs to see how short they could go and match trajectory on 175gr .308.
Outside of hunting or whatever, this is probably all useless now that the xm5 is happening. Why settle for watered down .243 when you can shoot .277 Wby Mag?
I don't understand why this sort of thing gets so much ridicule on /k/. Consider the following: >I need/want a rifle for x purpose >I already know how to use an AR >An AR would work for x purpose >I build an AR for x purpose >I don't have to relearn anything >My spare parts are interchangeable for the most part
It's a good thing for my PDW to be the same as my Carbine which is the same as my 3-gun rifle which is the same as my hunting rifles which is the same as my auto division prs rifle. I'm into shooting, not learning as many platforms as possible.
the AR 15 platform is not very good at many of those roles compared to a lot of other guns. Its honestly because most of you AR fudd consoomers are too lazy to try anything new so you go to the gunshop and pick another-nother AR every 3 years
a 12.5 in ar 308 pistol in 45 raptor is pretty fricking cool tho. 300 blk could be used in a 8.5 for home defense. 18 in 6mm arc for anything past 200. The platform is versatile, idk why that gets your panties in a bunch
why not just get a bullpup configuration that better purpose-built for an SBR, like a desert tech? and for your PDW an Mcx is objectively superior in every way. Id also rather have a specialized battle rifle like an 805 or SCAR for longer ranges. you only live once, if you want to shoot the same rifle your entire life thats on you, but its pretty fair to say youre outgunned and outstlyed by anyone with variety in their platforms
i built a 6.5 creed in the 308 platform. I like it and it's pretty damn accurate, but the 6mm arc can be a lot lighter. I'll take a 300 blk over a PCC any day. No comparison in my humble opinion. I want a scar too, but as a cartridge snob, I like how easy the ar platform is to change barrels and have them available
Why don't you show us any of these superior guns that you definitely own and aren't just some tourist no guns or underage who totally knows what he's talking about.

that's the most moronic excuse a noguns can come up with
PrepHole deletes exif data and if you don't trust hiro you can do it yourself, but you don't own guns
It's pure autism >I need a gun for every situation so I can be prepared! >also I have all these extra attachments so I buy a 'holding gun' to put them on
I was going to talk shit about your build but it looks like you actually go shoot and enjoy yourself. I assume is purpose built for some shooting that I don't do. Gorgeous range. Wish you nothing but fun anon.
the majority of people, including in /k/, lack creativity or unique tastes. Thats why 99% of /k/ owns the same guns. these are just the young fudds of the future
i have just started my collection. i was planning on getting a banshee in 7.62x39 but i found an insanely good deal on an AR side-charger SBR upper so im building that first. also finishing a homemade suppressor
a 20+ inch ar is definitely a fudd gun. these things are pretty much purpose built for hunting and long range which is really fun. it's a different approach to the rifle and definitely on the sporting end of the spectrum
I was going to talk shit about your build but it looks like you actually go shoot and enjoy yourself. I assume is purpose built for some shooting that I don't do. Gorgeous range. Wish you nothing but fun anon.
thanks man. yeah it's a different approach. I've got a galil for tactical stuff but the real beauty of the ar is that you can configure it for literally any task
i like my 18" light barrel (12ish year old DD manufactured barrel). Great sweet spot for portability while getting most of what you can get out of 5.56. But yeah, it's a range gun and 500m+ shooting was the idea.
Longboi AR owner reporting in, this one's a .22LR trainer, but I've got another centerfire spacegun upper on the way because I needed something suitable for 1000yd matches that I can also run for regular XTC matches. that extra barrel length helps get you enough velocity to get the 90gr pills to stabilize out of a 1:7
Compass lake, but if you want one you don't want to wait too long. I was talking to the owner at Perry during the national matches and he was saying how he's running low on certain parts (original mags for the conversion system, etc) and will probably stop selling complete uppers soon.

Oh frick bros, I found them and they're in stock. Forgive me father for I am about to sin.
My dick just fricking exploded. But seriously is that just a guy messing around or is that actually obtanium?

how does justin feel about being surrounded by uppers
>Justin Case, are the uppers in the room with us right now?
Icey upper receivers.
>7 inch in .300 blackout
>14.5 inch in 5.56
>18 inch in .308
all of these are different guns with different purposes.
Sure. But that’s not what people seem to do. They all have these slightly different but fundamentally similar builds.

Yeah but they're still Barbies
I'll take 3 Barbies over 3 stocky Anna Porkmonanovas
well 99% of k has all of those in 5.56 and an extra in 22lr
my 11.5 easily hits to 200-300
i legitimately dont understand the need for something larger that's not an AR10
I have an AR-10 that’s 13.5”, it’s a lot of fun.
having the bullets actually work the way they were designed to

D-dad?
post barrel twist rate
1:1" obviously
an ar 15 is whatever you want it to be
>Why are AR15-s like this?
Because people are lazy to SBR or even cuck brace, so they cope with 16"s.
>SBR or even cuck brace
Your arms too weak to handle a 160" upper?
Yes.
I will now buy your gun
This is ok as long as It's a pencil barrel. I would need a foregrip if it was a heavy barrel.
Owning that would have the same function as owning a pet skunk
People's reactions when they see it
So, yeah, I want one

banshees are good guns anon. sorry if 7.62x39 is too weird for you
It's a fricking gun. Did you choose your power drill based on the color scheme or a unique style of chuck?
anon you cant be this stupid. people dont collect power drills or showcase them in movies as a main character’s favorite item like with guns
the kind of gun you roll says a lot about you
>people dont collect power drills
Wat? You mean im da only one? Tell me it isn't so!

how tf does hating basic b***h ars make me an ar toting Uvalde PO?
Yes, Dewalt because yellow hi-vis
I Do. I have a sears craftsman and I think a montgomery ward drill
I have multiple ARs because the platform is comfy, and I like the versatility
I have a 5.56 SBR/pistol, .223 Wylde, .22, and a .308, but I'm done getting more ARs for now; going to get an AK eventually
I also have an Enfield, 2 Mosins, Benelli M4, Remington 870, Remington 12C, and a Marlin Model 10

gah dayum those numbers
I don't really know why you wouldn't use a 20-24" barrel if you're going to actually use it to shoot things that need to be shot. Velocity matters.
