Whatever you want? FMJ for plinking, JHP for defense. There isn't anything specific to the 92, just look for good 9mm

I don't worry about thick clothing like the other anon said. Mostly because I live in South Texas where if it's that cold outside nobody is going outside anyway.
That being said I think the higher weight you can get, like 147gr, the better. JHP is best for defense as I mentioned earlier. Stick with good brands if your country has them: Winchester, Hornady, Federal, Sig, etc.
it's honestly not bad, I shoot it out of a 320 x-carry and it feels like zippier 115 gr range ammo.
Hollow points are a meme. Penetration is all that matters.

Everything is a fricking meme. Any handgun round from 32 ACP and up averages about two rounds to incapacitate someone. You're only going to improve your chances by going to a rifle or shotgun.
9mm is (relatively) cheap, plentiful and every good handgun design is chambered in it so there's no good reason to have anything else anyway.
30 Super may prove to be a good round if it's adopted, so far it looks good and you can get any pistol chambered in it as long as it's an M&P Shield or EZ (oh, or a balls expensive Nighthawk)

9mm Luger ammunition, sometimes referred to as 9mm parabellum, or 9mm NATO will work correctly inside of a 92fs
Just take a flat file to the tip of the fmj, you can drill a hole in the lead then you got home made hp ammo.
