Wheres the Russian submarine force?

We have been hearing little about them since the Ukraine war.

What do you think are they doing with the subs? Carrying long period 2nd nuclear strike capabilities near NATO waters?

Does sub have any use in the current war.

Any submarine expert what do you think?

    The launching rocket from them.
I remember seeing news that pidorussians were resupplying their sub with rockets in sevastopol or somwhere in that region.

      this :

They are used as glorified missile trucks. Keep in mind that Ukraine has effectively no navy.
Russian submariners are certainly in the safest position of all involved in the war.

On the other hand, they are inside a Russian submarine.

if ukraine wasnt starting from zero in 2014 and they had enough spare drones to just loiter in the black sea, they would have picked up a sub by now and sunk it.
its infuriating that now matter how shit russia is, they get away with it, simply because ukraine has practically no equipment to deal with the barbarians

They actually do have most of their bayraktars on black sea duty, as outside of the Harpoonski, the roachdrones are their only ways to project power over the black sea. Meanwhile, they can use smaller drones over land to replace most TB2 functions (scouting, fire correction, etc.)

The problem is that TB2s don't have actual sub-hunting equipment, so they have to rely on the basic b***h camera to spot subs.

Their boomers are chilling in their bastion in the Barents sea, black sea fleet Kilos have probably done land attack with Kalibrs. Hottest submarine action I'd expect is an attempted frogman insertion, but that might be off the table by now.

The missile subs are probably mostly in the Atlantic and Pacific for a doomsday scenario.

Most of Russian equipment and doctrine is useless for the current war. If Ukraine was next to a larger sea/ocean I imagine RU subs would be active then

All those tanks are useless for a war on a giant featureless plain?

Warfare can be conducted in different ways - Weapons can be used in different ways.

And clearly this war isn't fought with two armies going head-on on a giant featureless plain.

imagine serving on a russian sub. its a pretty scary thought that you have to be crazy bordering on suicidal to be in charge of hidden nuclear weapons

The most disapointing thing is that the aesthetic is so shitty for Russian subs - it aint all stylistic like the Hunt for Red October - its all bland and frumpy like some hospital from the 70s.

How much assrape you think goes down onboard that tub?

A Russian navy guy came here and said it was basically unknown, which kinda makes sense. The navy is heavily dominated by ethnic Russians from important places.

Unironically being trailed by U.S. attack subs if they are even remotely within range of NATO soil. A number probably are also rusting at dock.

Well thankfully all the black sea subs are diesel electric. They'll just explode and sink, not contaminate a bunch of ocean in the process.
