And how do you balance with the cost of rent, etc.
>pic related, my monthly rent
I budget $250/month with $150 to ammo/range fees and $100 to a new gun savings fund

That's great
None, i spend everything on cheap drugs and expensive prostitutes.

I don't budget anything.
I have about 500$ after expenses every month and can pick up 300$ every overtime day, which I do often. Range fee is 20$ and I normally shoot 100 rounds of 9mm, so ~$40 a trip.
I should say I have 500$ in just fun money, this is after savings and 401b and everything.
I don't have a budget I just buy whatever I want when I want it. This works for me because I'm a natural born hater and so I don't want a lot. It could also work for people with a lot of money.
I don’t budget anything, but I’m pretty frugal naturally. Basically I buy range ammo once a year, usually 1,000 rounds each caliber, and shoot it throughout the year.
For guns I just think very carefully and am naturally inclined to saving money. I bought a used PDP this year actually, but before that hadn’t bought a gun in a few years (last purchase was a M&P shield for cc)
Although I’m really considering also buying a SP101 for cc, but first I wanna know if it’s just a bit easier to conceal than the shield because of the grips. A lot of my t-shirts won’t conceal the shield because the shirt just sticks to the grip and wraps around it. Also I don’t want to do pocket carry, because I have other shit I need to put in my pockets.
Imagine spending $3k/mo to live in section 8 housing lmao
Section 8 vouchers wont cover 3k
How often do you guys go shooting?
Used to go twice a month before covid but with ammo prices i've slowed down a lot
I read a lot, every time I finish a book I put 20-50 dollars in a jar depending on the size of the book. When the jar starts to get filled I pull the money out and count it. Normally it’s around 2k. I buy another gun or optic.
I don’t budget ammo at all, but I do buy in bulk and shop around for good deals.
Man’s paying 3k a month to not build equity
I guarantee you hes not affording a house in that area if hes in a rent controlled building, maybe if hes willing to drive 2-4 hours a day commuting
>"boy it sure is hot in here"
>"you're in a building that's on fire."
>"man, so hot in here, I hate it. Look at the thermometer, wow!"
>"get out of the building, dumbass, it's cooler outside of it."
>"did you hear about how hot it is inside this building!? wow it sure sucks, huh?"
Lets be honest, if you're renting your whole family line failed despite having generations to build up some kind of nest egg
>muh equity
buying costs more than renting, if you save your money and put it in stocks you'll have more than buying a house
>3100 a month for 800 square feet
May as well burn the money
>boston, massachusetts
the only thing you need to be "budgeting" for is a uhaul truck outta there senpai
to answer your question though, 15% of my pay goes to 401k, and 3k per month goes directly into taxable brokerage accounts
whatever is left, i spend as i please
I buy a kilo of ammo from LAX every month, regardless of how much I shoot. So 300, ish?
>budget
What?
I just wait til random deals appear in front of me then buy it
Apex, sarco usually email with parts kits on sale and if I want it I grab it
How much do Americans earn after taxes to afford 3100$ rent? That's like almost my entite monthly paycheck after taxes and I'm considered solidly middle class in Europoor.
plowing through the trust fund. Old money's common, but drying up.
