Kojima/Konami inked a deal with a Japanese Airsoft manufacturer to produce airsoft rifles based on the guns in the game. They were never made.
It's by far the easiest one to get into and play. Most of the missions are pretty enjoyable if you like to try and do full stealth runs, no kills even more so. If you're a run and gunner though, only a couple are ok.
it's the only good mgs game other than ground zeroes which is basically the same game. only thing I hated is how the game forces you to do all that base building and recruitment shit and how it gives you that moronic bloody snake if you kill too much.
The base building shit wasn't Kojima's concept. That's Konami's doing to try and milk as much microtransactions as possible. I feel sorry for any of the legacy devs (Kojima and the like) when Konami got made into a Yakuza shell company.

I'm replaying this right now (and it's actually pretty good now that I realized you can disable Reflex Mode and the enemy presence indicators and markers) and I realized the default gun, the "AM MSR-4" looks a lot like the Galil. Then again I'm not really that knowledgeable about guns like the average /k/ autist is, is the gun actually based off the Galil?
