Actually shooting involves way more muscles, especially when different shooting positions come into play. Also, using a gun is not only shooting, carrying a a rifle all day can be murder on your back for example.

I do some cardio.

My routine is mostly cardio with some lifts and core workout.
It doesn't help me at the range as I am in a completely cucked country for guns: I guarantee to you that every range 'ruleset' in my state is worse than the worst fudd range in the US.
It does help me when I'm shooting on property or with friends. They're about 5 years older than me and all except a couple are quite overweight. I don't think I'm better than them, but it reminds me of how far I've come especially considering I was at risk of never being able to walk properly again, let alone run or hike (shattered femur). I might actually join the defense force if they'll take me.

My parents would give me the change in the wallets every day for an allowance. The thing is, that would be the change from at least three different spendings every day because they were always hitting coffee shops, restaurants, stores or whatever. This went on for ten years. I start with a jog up and down my hill. Bust out 5-10 pullups. Jog around to the other side of the yard. Get in the incline pushup position with the hill. Do a pushup, walk forward on your hands downhill, do a pushup. Repeat until your each the flat ground by the shed. Stay in pushup position. Flat palm pushups, fist pushups, finger tip pushups, back to fists. Stay in the front leaning rest for 2 minutes, go down to forearms to low plank. Stay in plank for 2 minutes. Roll over into leg lift position. Keep legs lifted for 2-5 minutes while spreading legs and bringing them together. Spreading one leg at a time. Flutter kicks, leg lifts, flutter kicks leg lifts, russian twists, sit ups. Roll back over into low blank, walk foreward on forearms in low plank. Stand arms up into front leaning rest. More pushups in whatever style until exhaustion. Pop up and go straight into leg stretching and arm stretching. All martial arts stance practicing. Holding horse stance, riding stance, bow stance etc for minutes each. Lift big ass millstone. Skullcrushers with millstone, presses with millstone, curls with millstone. Hold pavement bricks out while in horse stance for 5-10 minutes. Holding bricks straight out foreward, then to the side, circling the bricks out to the side really working the shoulder. Another go with leg stretches. Then body conditioning for 1 hour. Elbowing, punching, kicking, backhading, forearm blocking and headbutting trees. Beating arms and legs and torso with rod. Sand bag with ball bearings in it, practice striking it with palm strikes, finger tip strikes, punches of various sorts. Practice kicks, acrobatics, aerial kicks. Weapons and martial arts forms continuously for 2 hours until I get dizzy or feel like I'm going to get heat exhaustion. Take a shower, make some tea, eat something small, go to work.
I do this three maybe for times a week. At least 3-4 hours total. This doesn't help me at all with shooting.

When I do jog at the park, I do some sit ups, push ups and pull ups, so all the blood isn't just going to my legs.
