What's the tactical advantage of letting a firearm get so old that it develops a spirit? Are you afraid of milsurp tsukumogami?
What's the tactical advantage of letting a firearm get so old that it develops a spirit? Are you afraid of milsurp tsukumogami?
If an object being over 100 years old means it gains a spirit.
And I have 45 antique swords in one safe.
Do you think the spirits are warring among each other?
You basically have your own Warring States period going on in your safe right now.
could be. Spirits don't always get along with each other.
Well no, because as a faithful servant of the Omnissiah, I take daily measures to appease the machine spirits of my equipment. You haven't been abusing the children of the Omnissiah, have you Anon?
What happens when a object hits 200 year? Does it gain an additional soul, or does the soul become twice as powerful?
The souls generally get more powerful as they age.
So my 500 year old antiques are beating the shit out of my 100 year old antiques?
Kino
Tsukumogami get more powerful as they age, sometimes mutate.
>1911's have just recently gotten their spirits
What are they like?
If they've been in the shit, they're your racist vet grandpa on steroids.
If they haven't, they're the worst fudds known to man.
What about mosin nagnat spirits?
>have refurbished winter war capture mosin
it's a shitzo post made real
it demanded to be taken to the war but then it worked it self apart on what side it wants me to join
If it's Soviet production, it's all FOR MOTHER RUSSIA
If it's Remington/Westinghouse/Tsar, it's probably real tired of everything
come to think of it every time I take my mosin to the range I end up hurting myself. almost as though it’s demanding a blood offering
>Muramasa Mosin Nagnat
Always wondered how tsukumogami work with ship of Theseus kind of situations, do all the parts have to be original or is it ok with a broken original part? Speaking of ships, could USS Texas become a tsukumogami?
As long as the receiver remains, I think it's still good.
Since the object has now a soul that stays inside the object no matter how many parts of it you replace it’s practically impossible to run into a ship of Theseus situation.
As long as new parts get "integrated" over time, it's doable. Just like how the cells in your body are replaced over time. The individual parts build up a mutual history/links over time. So even if the weapon is destroyed it can still be re-assembled. It's all about identity (reality consensus): does the weapon believe it is still the same weapon, and do others believe it is still the same weapon?
This gives whole new meaning to väkipyssy.
Literal translation strong gun or blunderbuss

>Are you afraid of milsurp tsukumogami?
No. They are my friends and they will protect me
>What is the tactical advantage
Exactly that
>They are my friends and they will protect me
What makes you so sure?
>milsurp tsukumogami
My oldest guns are civilian. So no.
All you gotta do is show them respect and you'll never have to worry about stuff like that.
All I have is this umbrella tsukumogami... Are umbrellas PrepHole?
It's not exactly a spirit per se, more like some supernatural energy or characteristic. Only neglected objects can actually become "possessed" as it were
it screams when you do the deer thing to it
>the deer thing
w-what?
If you don't know, do not inquire further. It's better to remain ignorant about some events
Nii-sama my magwell
Very important question: can I have sex with the tsukumogami?
I'm sure you'll be able to find some research in that topic on the internet
