If an object being over 100 years old means it gains a spirit.
And I have 45 antique swords in one safe.
Do you think the spirits are warring among each other?

You basically have your own Warring States period going on in your safe right now.

Well no, because as a faithful servant of the Omnissiah, I take daily measures to appease the machine spirits of my equipment. You haven't been abusing the children of the Omnissiah, have you Anon?

What happens when a object hits 200 year? Does it gain an additional soul, or does the soul become twice as powerful?

      Anonymous

The souls generally get more powerful as they age.

If it's Soviet production, it's all FOR MOTHER RUSSIA

If it's Remington/Westinghouse/Tsar, it's probably real tired of everything

Always wondered how tsukumogami work with ship of Theseus kind of situations, do all the parts have to be original or is it ok with a broken original part? Speaking of ships, could USS Texas become a tsukumogami?

As long as the receiver remains, I think it's still good.

Since the object has now a soul that stays inside the object no matter how many parts of it you replace it’s practically impossible to run into a ship of Theseus situation.

As long as new parts get "integrated" over time, it's doable. Just like how the cells in your body are replaced over time. The individual parts build up a mutual history/links over time. So even if the weapon is destroyed it can still be re-assembled. It's all about identity (reality consensus): does the weapon believe it is still the same weapon, and do others believe it is still the same weapon?

It's not exactly a spirit per se, more like some supernatural energy or characteristic. Only neglected objects can actually become "possessed" as it were
