>300 blackout!
Massively underperforms against 7.62x39. Only intended for being quiet with a suppressor.
With the advances of suppressor adoption and its performance out of short barrels 7.62x39 has a new lease on life as a general purpose urban/ police round. However it's being crushed on both sides by 300blk internationally and 9x39 back home. Still it fits a niche that niether 5.45 or 5.56 can fulfill as well (cope all you like, subsonic 5.56 is garbage). 5.45 is superior as a general infantry round but it gets its shit pushed in by 5.56 too and unlike 7.62x39 it can't fill any special role that would garner it a place in this world except with people that want 5.56 but can't have it
>However it's being crushed on both sides by 300blk internationally
300 BLK is nowhere near as popular globally as 7.62x39 is.
>Banana ballistics
Bad videos with no real data behind it
I'm assuming you're nogunz who hasn't tried shooting 7.62x39 compared to .300 blackout, and never tried handloading either.
Anyways, as
Cope. My gucci loads for 300 blacked cost less than 7.62 russhit
said, actually good 125 and 110gr Gucci loads cost less than shit 7.62 ammo. And once you start handloading the gap widens. Reduced case capacity combined with faster burning powder actually yields impressive results.
They're doing well enough in the muddy trench warfare of Ukraine right now... just like they did in the muddy shithole of Chechnya, wet seasons of Afghanistan, etc.
>pack breech and mag with so much clay the BCG can't even strip a round from the mag >this somehow proves something
God damn I hate you homosexuals so much.
7.62 will go through a 12 inch tree trunk from 100 yards away. can the 5.45 do the same? I'd rather rock with the 7.62 in the wind breaks than a glorified .22
Didn't 7.62x39 have ballistic issues at longer ranges?
Other than that, 5.45 does the job and weighs less so it's probably the better option overall in terms of military usage. >easier for logistics to move >less weight for the average grunt to haul >less material on a smaller round saves some money in production
5.45 does nothing better than 5.56 and has way more difficult logistics in the USA. 7.62 x39 does many things different than 5.56 so it might suit your needs.

>5.45 has less mass AND velocity.
No 5.45 has the same initial velocity and retains it better due to the bullet shape.
So it is a strange wind drift, that doesn't affect rounds specifically made in US
5.45 is several hundred FPS slower than M193 and M855, Civilian 5.45 is a good 400-500 FPS slower because it has to use lead core since steel is banned.
5.45 does not pen level 3 plates which any 55gr and m855 loads will for the 5.56.

Level III ceramics generally stop both M193 and M855. Steel usually stops M855 and UHMWPE usually stops M193. For that matter, some of the steel core 5.45x45 loadings will likely also penetrate Level III UHMWPE under certain conditions.
5.56 has far better projectile choices available for it than 5.45, but armor piercing performance with FMJs isn't really one of its key advantages.
If we are talking about from an American gun owner perspective, 7.62x39 is way better.
5.45 is just a harder to get and corrosive 5.56 nowadays.
7.62x39 at least can fill a niche purpose. Urban/brush gun for under 200m engagements. Good with short barrels, suppresses well, lots of mass to help it through leaves, branches, drywall, etc.
5.45 is a collector cartridge in 2023
5.45x39 is overwhelmingly superior, the Soviets plagiarised 5.56x45 for this reason
>muh tumbling
laughs in M67
>M67
Half the ammo for the same weight
300 blackout!

super a e s t h e t i c
>5.56 NATO
works fine, looks are meh
Not so aesthetic now
Ah yes, the "mud" test.
>real mud
Is far more "soupy" than concrete mix, but then again these homosexuals rig every test.
>real mud test has never been tried
Pour some shit into your AK and film it and post it here
How about a ham sandwich?
go to 3:50 if you're a homosexual and don't want to watch the whole video.
>InRange
All credibility is lost, Karl should an hero already frick that Black person
seethe harder chud

only one of them is banned from import

7.62x45
Isn't that just 300 hamr?
Never heard of 300 hanr
300 Hamr is hot 300blk supposed to replicate 30-30 Win, I think Wilson Combat brought it to market.
Love the 5.45, low recoil, it was super cheap but those days are behind us.
shoutout to autistic czechs and their cool shit.
irl 7.45 is overwhelming superior
if you're a moronic baguette then 7.62x39

7.62x54R
7.62 for short barrels
5.45 for everything else
does 7.62 suffer less from deflection in a forest compared to 5.45 or is that a meme
7.62 is the far superior of the two Soviet ones. Their 5.45 does not fragment like our 5.56 does which is useless
5.45, achieves even better ballistics with less recoil that 5.56
5.45 is extremely susceptible to wind drift, 7.62 isn't because of mass, 5.56 isn't as much due to velocity.
5.45 has less mass AND velocity.
>5.45 has less mass AND velocity.

5.45 922 m/s
5.56 860—995 m/s
So no, it is not. And why are you comparing civilian cartridge to a military one?
5.45 does not pen level 3 plates which any 55gr and m855 loads will for the 5.56.

>7.62 x 39
Destroys everything. Bush cant deflect it
>or 5.45?
Destroys an unarmored man. Bush can deflect it.
anything 5mm is build to be sub machine gun evil round for the less strengthened man
Pricing for 5.45x39 is a joke

6.5x39 aka 6.5 Grendel
>Russian brass even admit 5.45 is mediocre
oof
https://tass.com/defense/1043299
Russian brass considered UAV not worth investing, since any "real" anti air will make them useless.
5.45 is better but with how things are looking right now with 5.45 ammo prices and import bans it is better to get a 7.62.x39 AK.
