Dude stole a bunch of military gear and sold it on ebay, not shit load but a decent amount, mainly the few nvgs the russian military actually had. After he started getting heat he defected and struck a deal with the cia promising the moon in terms of intel. I guess they wern't impressed because those flucking glow Black folk then air dropped this smelly fat vatnik 3 houses down the block from me in my rural wisconsin town where he enjoys getting dui's in his hyundai santa fe and day drinking outside while loadly swearing in russian. This fricker only mowed his lawn once this year, ONCE!, frick my life, and my property value.

Wait source, i actually want to read up on that, i know there is a decent amount of Russian soldiers who sell their stuff on ebay (perhaps i have bought some in the past), but a high ranking military official doing it and risking his comfy job and legacy over a bit of pocket change?

it was just a larp, but funny because it's mildly plausible, also my drunk boomer russian neighbor in wisconsin is sadly real.

Ukraine definitely needs help, but in some fantastical scenario where aliens took all the nukes and Russia attacked Poland, the rest of Europe shitstomp Russia through the Earth's core. Just doesn't really matter because the aliens don't have enough firepower to take the nukes.

This. Russia is the only country in this list that has a defense minister that literally runs the whole army. With no experience or oversight. Literal neverserved tells generals how to wage war. It's bizarre.

      Anonymous

Pretty much. The only thing most defense ministers do in Europe is to be a bridge between politics and the military.

if they were at war these women would be quietly replaced. they are more the ministers for soldier welfare, military cuts, and keeping the status quo.

the biggest problem in the west since ww2, is theres no one alive that remembers war, or its requirement for absolute military success to have the peace and prosperity which has been enjoyed since the 40s

        Anonymous

its almost like that was the entire point of the west and NATO idiot, these woman are a perfect fit for the situation we have. And many times more competent than some generals. The biggest problem you state is our biggest blessing.

          Anonymous

sorry sweetie, but NATO been complacently trading away its advantages for decades, and this diminishment of power will bring parity with other forces in the world which will result in war.
military inbalance is what prevents wars and allows peace. these "peace time" leaders, have allowed for military decline that will result in war. which as i said, they cannot be blame for, because they have no experience of why war occurs as they have not lived it.

No they won't. Defense ministers don't have a military function. Military command is a completely seperated entity. It's not like these women are in command when shit hits the fan because of their position

Supposedly he was able to hold a deconfliction call with the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs back in May but it could've been some schmuck doing a Gerasimov impression.

    >Shoigu is reported to be doing just fine. He's rumored to have taken delivery of a really nice Amboyna burl and as such put in his request for vacation months ago to carve an effigy of Tengri from it.

Seriously though, I can think of few cushier jobs than a Russian officer who's successfully embedded themselves within the oligarchs' power structure. The guy was the head of Russian FEMA for frick's sake and he's still being trusted to oversee an all-out war. MAYBE there'd be even less accountability if you worked for Kadyrov, where you get all the LARP gear you can handle and never actually have to fight anyone, just dance Lezginka and play with guns all day.

Lmao I remember seeing this posted on /misc/ in like 2015 and I was thinking about finding it to post here. The dopes on that board think you are obviously a better defense minister if you look more "general-y" sure the people on the left are probably shit at their job too but they are probably less of a figurehead then shoigui
