What to do bathroom

Looking for some input/advice on what to do with this bathroom.
Don't have anyone else that cares that will give me input. Maybe it's dumb to post here idk.
Have a new fan already and walls are just white primer.
Looking for suggestions on paint color and maybe some wall tiles for above the shower.
Suggestions? Where does everyone else take a shit?

Nice. Don't know why the picture if flipped. Here are some other paint options I was thinking.
For context the bathroom in small and no natural light so wanted to go lighter instead of darker with paint.
    Opinions?

Just go to lowes or whatever and get a off-color return that is slightly greenish. It’s not like it’s gonna make a difference. It’s the most common return cuz you get in on the wall and realize it’s diarrhea colour. Pink and blue are also common returns fir obvious reasons.

We used to always get oil/alkyd semigloss or gloss for bathrooms. Not sure if you can still buy it nowadays.

Bad idea, I did that because "yay what a deal!" and there was roller felt stuff in it and you can't return it again.

Always run your paint through a filter first.
Mainly for clumps of whatever, but also removes roller fluff, and errant bristles for those savages that don’t de-fuzz their roller.
Also, you probably don’t want to buy a paint return that’s only got 25% of the paint left in it.
Or one that looks like it was from the 1980s.
          Etc…. <insert common-sense buying stuff here>

No. Bright white at least semi gloss is the only acceptable bathroom color.
Scrape the popcorn off the ceiling and make it flat.
Is the vanity total shit or just the top? Either way get a better sink/top.
Tear up that tile and put some 12x24 porcelain tiles in, spend at least $9 a Sq ft and don't go to HD/Lowes. Make sure it's flat first and use; laticrete mortar, hydroban, and uncoupling membrane; mapei ultra color grout.
Tear the tub out if you don't have kids and put in a nice tile shower.
      Better light and vent combo.
      Good mirror and vanity light.
      Some towel hangers.
Should be able to get it done for like $5k or less. Might just tile up from the tub if you're keeping it.

Bright white semigloss and use exterior paint. Add the anti-mildew stuff to the paint.

Put a decent vent fan in.

Lime green paint if you're feeling absolutely devious, otherwise a light brown or light blue- it's a closed space so nothing dark. Square wall tiles above the shower sound ugly as shit unless they are large enough to blend in nicely with the rest of the backing. Also, shave off that popcorn ceiling, it looks hideous and If/ when you get mold spots from the lack of window to intake fresh air, it will be harder to clean them.

      Gotcha.
After the popcorn ceiling goes leave it white? If say the walls where very light blue/green.
      Appreciate the input fellow denizen.
Really anything anyone would add just put it in here. Fixtures/curtains/mirror/vanity(36in) go for it.

Do NOT paint, coat, seal, color, brush or touch the popcorn ceiling. Don’t even look at it.

It’s likely to curl, wrinkle or peel off if you do.

          I'm gonna admit something here.
It all started because it was already peeling. I knocked down the old stuff, sanded it and did a replacement putty stuff painted with killz primer.
This could be bad but one thing at a time man.
          Paijt now demolish ceiling later.

removing popcorn is easy but messy, I'd consider doing it now instead of later when you'll frick up your nice new paint. I paint it white, maybe consider the anti mold paint if its got shit ventilation or even if its got good ventilation but bad insulation.

if you want to save money dont bother with tile, its unnecessary when you already have a fiberglass surround, just paint it with at least a satin finish, it'll be fine
