Isn't the shotgun stage the most important? I've never done 3 gun but I've heard that rifle and pistol are always so close that shotgun is the stage that actually decides the outcome of the match.
Specifically shotgun *reloading* decides, with a few insignificant exceptions, every win in 3gun from bottom to national finals. For anyone who might even remotely be interested in becoming competitive, it becomes a distasteful truth.
2gun fixes 3gun. Which sucks because shotgun is fun enough to deserve to be part of practical shooting but every sport ends up this way, with rich guys who spend all day every day all year practicing and getting sponsorships so they can practice more, being the only competitors left.
I wish there was a 2gun hub near me because it's still pretty grassroots. I mean you can always just go shoot 3gun anyway but I like the comfier feeling of a bunch of guys not covered in logos doing cool stuff at the range together.
I think the same can be said n for a lot of sports, but I don't think shooting was ever going to be cheap, especially action shooting like 3 gun. Just ammo alone would probably cost $1k a month.
I did my first shooting comp in the 2-Gun division since I really didn't have a relevant shotgun to speak of, and after seeing the shotgun element of 3-gun I vowed to never, ever leave 2-Gun.
>We don't want you.
this might as well be the slogan of 3 gun nowadays, it's so hypercompetitive and hostile to anyone wanting to get in that they just frick off to 2 gun, 2x4 or PCC, which is why those divisions are skyrocketing in new shooters while 3 gun is increasingly just sweats and sponsor prostitutes.
A good chunk of the 3-gun scene is happy with that, they're absolutely insufferable and are also by far and away the division most prone to sperg rages at the RO.
PCC now has a decent amount of those a-social spergs too, it's why arbitrary reloads infest it because all the SIG MCX and AR9 sweats wanted to make sure anyone with an MP5 couldn't play in their sandbox. Tryhards have to sap the fun out of everything.

Is this the new zoomer version of tryhard? Tryhard wasn't melanin enriched enough?
Loading shotguns is hard and it's usually the biggest frick up area of three gun, so yeah they do that so they have to reload less and win more. It's a game so not everything carries over to real life tactuchul operatunz.
Well that's just it, the whole point of these competitions was to let people not good enough for the proper target disciplines have fun with guns they could actually own.
>mfw only ever did 3 gun with my auto 5 and FAL >most people there thought it was really cool and talked to me about guns >didnt even place in the to 20 but had a good time and met a lot of nice people
Min maxxing takes the fun out of pretty much everything, just do things for fun. People need to lean to save the stress and competition for work.
Past a certain point the fun comes from optimizing whatever you're doing which inevitably leads to competition
FPS games are a perfect example, it's fun to run around, shoot and die but once you do that for a few hundred hours it becomes more interesting to run around, shoot more people and die less. It's the same shit with guns to a lower level given most people can't afford shooting thousands of rounds a month, or simply don't have the time to. If you keep going to 3 gun matches I'd bet you'll end up getting a tad more interested in what people performing better are running- and that small step alone is the beginning of the cycle.
nta, but the current paid bots literally give you a rooted boot config to bypass battleye.
you're better off getting a keyboard adapter and playing fps games on console

I pretty much only play Rising storm 2 with a few friends now. Tarkov grind became too ridiculous for a normal dude with a job. I pop in early wipe to have a night or two of fun,but then it's over.

not him but big rs2 fan, still sad about the delay on 83 smfh
cringe take. Fun is different for everyone. Many people find far more fun in trying out all kinds of different builds and coming up with new and innovative ways to make bad items useful by using new tactics and strategies. Just trying to do the same thing 0.3% better for hundreds of hours sounds not only incredibly boring, but it's damn near Einstein's definition of insanity.
a guy I knew gave nearly this exact presentation for his Corporal's Course. The female Sgt Major was not happy and he was kicked out and busted back down to Lance over it.
What a nincompoop
>glance at thumbnail >just see a really long barrel >"what's wrong with it?" >click thumbnail >It's the fricking tube instead of the barrel >wtf
Wouldn't bird/buck shot hit the tube?
They go full hog on chokes since 75% of the targets shotguns see on a 3 gun course are steel with the remaining 25% being a tossed clay from a popper target that's a whipping 12m away. The only reasons shotguns exist in 3 gun anymore is to make people hurl money at the reloading hurdle and it's why I fricking hate it now.
>Why tube when magazine fed is an option?
if youre asking this question about a shotgun, you dont own guns and youre some polish nafo homosexual who should have his head split open on sharp rocks
You place the magazine directly on the target so you are sure you're not gonna miss
Toob
If the barrel were equally long, it would be based.
Add a suppressor and you've reached levels of based that mere mortals were not meant to see.
The shotgun portion of 3-gun is without fail the most sweaty and cringe

2 Gun is quite based.
This, 2-gun is where you go if you want to actually have fun and compete with like-minded people.
I did my first shooting comp in the 2-Gun division since I really didn't have a relevant shotgun to speak of, and after seeing the shotgun element of 3-gun I vowed to never, ever leave 2-Gun.
Good. We don't want you.

probably because shotguns are so low-speed that they require the most meta-gaming to lower times. same with revolvers in USPSA.

Is this the new zoomer version of tryhard? Tryhard wasn't melanin enriched enough?
>scrub
Is this the millennial version of noob? Noob wasn’t melanin enriched enough?
moron
n00b is the millennial term.
Scrub came over a decade later, used only by halfwit late 90s kids too young to identify as millennials
Are you too young to have been around when sweatlords was a thing?
dude sweaty has been around for years. why do you so desperately want to be out of touch?
Loading shotguns is hard and it's usually the biggest frick up area of three gun, so yeah they do that so they have to reload less and win more. It's a game so not everything carries over to real life tactuchul operatunz.
Quad loading is very easy. It took me ten minutes practice a week for three weeks to be pretty good.
This is why I hate practical shooting
That’s not practical shooting, that’s straight up gamer shit
Well that's just it, the whole point of these competitions was to let people not good enough for the proper target disciplines have fun with guns they could actually own.
Swing and a miss. 3gun started out as cop games.
That's exactly what I said, moron.
>that's not what I said at all
>I'm telling you I said that
>you are the moron in this equation
Many such cases
Are you under the impression that cops are good shooters?
The ones who created 3gun are pretty good.
I think weird stuff like this is neat and cool and interesting, as long as theyre having fun
>mfw only ever did 3 gun with my auto 5 and FAL

>mfw have 3k hours in tarkov and still only run around with an mp5sd and lvl 4 armor
maybe im autistic
maybe you're not autistic enough
>literally playing as npc for cheaters to have fun with
You are just dumb and took Russian bait.
>muh russia

What a nincompoop
Wtf is picrel
Why not just use pic related instead?
technically magfed
So is the gun in the OP
By a different technical standard, which would impact the division the guy in the OP would compete in.
Yup and they have the gall to say tube fed is superior to mag fed shotguns lmfao
12ga magazines are pretty massive too.
Yeah but they dont turn your shotgun into a fricking halberg frickhueg stick
Hell nah, he got the long shmongus sticking out, dude got wiener extension surgery for his gun

what happens if i shoot #9 out of that will a IC?
same goofy frick energy
Arch better than no arch
>wrong is better than wrong
it's wrong.
Why does /k/ hate fun?
I don't know; you tell me.
I imagine this must be the most fun shotgun ever to shoot.
What kind of rail and muzzle brake is that? I'm looking to get a KS-12
>Gee Bill, how come your mom lets you have TWO muzzle brakes?
finally
walking dead shotgun
is it possible for an errant pellet to hit the mag tube at that point
nah. i'm not sure exactly how far but the pellets and wad are usually in one small group for a few metres after leaving the barrel
Why tube when magazine fed is an option?
>Why tube when magazine fed is an option?
if youre asking this question about a shotgun, you dont own guns and youre some polish nafo homosexual who should have his head split open on sharp rocks
At least drum magazines don’t look like some looney toons shit
ironic that it's mostly ruskie shotguns that use box mags, the chad western guns almost exclusively use toobs.
