When they start getting pinging and the alarms start going off in the wienerpit that they have attempts at missile lock, I would think a plane like this would have many defenses it could call on? It just seems like it should not be easy to shoot down a military craft that is executing proper countermeasures.
>Zig zag or jink to avoid missile lock
>Mass flare dump
>Plane must have a sophisticated ECM suite, so ECM officer james the radars and missiles
>Firing tail turrets for point defense and shooting down incoming missiles
>Drop all drop tanks and self detonate them. The massive explosion may hid the plane temporarily
>Dive and/or break hard right to make the missile fail on angle of attack
>Execute a cargo dump and use it as chaff to protect against the missiles
Also it looked like the plane had some time while it was going down. Why didn't the crew eject or jump out with their parachutes (if ejector was broken)?
>would think a plane like this would have many defenses it could call on?
you'd be wrong.
Yea lets zig zag a cargo plane that is surely more maneuverable than a missile lmao frickin idiot
Extremely low quality post designed to make the board less interesting
If a missile is going really fast it is not very maneuverable right? It can be defeated by angle of attack just like in American football if someone one defense takes a bad line when trying to tackle the person holding the ball.
>right?
no
A C-130 might have had a chance, but what sort of "ECM suite" do you think the Russians have? Kek. Does this plane even have an "ECM officer"?
>what sort of defenses does an IL-76 have
Not many aside from pretending it's a PoW transport for some reason.
An IL-76 has no counter measures itself and relies on escorts to do that for them. As a cargo plane, it is not supposed to be flown into enemy or contested territory, which is why no counter-measures were ever designed for the plane itself.
I am convinced there were no POWs on that plane but the story about it carrying weapons does not seem that plausible either because that just looks like a normal cargo plane full of fuel explosion.
Honestly someone in another thread said it might have been full of Iranian glowies and officers, which would make a lot of sense given how much pants shitting appears to be happening.
While that would be nice, and would explain why it was shot down when Ukraine thus far hasn't gone after the cargo planes much at all to my knowledge, we haven't seen more bodies than you'd expect from the crew.
>just looks like a normal cargo plane full of fuel explosion
Well, about that. Here is a "normal" IL-76 exploding for comparison. Looks to be about 10% to 20% of the yield for today's clown show.
A plane landing is going to have way less fuel onboard compared to something right after take off
What about in the original pic where it is dropping all them flares?
I haven't seen that image, could you share it please?
There's no flare trail in the vid, so if it did deploy them, it must have been a while before it was shot down.
>original pic where it is dropping all them flares
Post it. Let's see it. Nobody else has posted such a thing in the last six hours in any of the ten or fifteen threads on this topic.
If there's pics or vid of this IL-76 dropping any sort of flares of countermeasures, we all need to see it ASAP. The originals, before they get watermarked and edited into uselessness.
Is this the actual footage from today's shootdown or some pre-war accident?
Actual footage of today's shootdown. Here's the two videos we currently have of the crash site.
The ziggers are having a mental breakdown over this, like they did when the Cube was first spawned, so SOMETHING important was on that plane, we just don't know what yet.
Here's the second video of the crash site.
When they rotated the camera, was that a rocket tube or just a pipe?
I can't tell, we'll need to find a rocket autist to confirm for us.
Well then it should be pretty easy for the Vatniks to show the burnt remains of 65 actual POWs, as they claim.
If it takes them 1 week to show this, that means they carted in dead mobiks to salt their crash site.
>carted in dead mobiks
Nah. DNA testing is an actual thing, even in pozziya.
They have Ukie POW corpses sitting in a meat locker waiting to be used for a propaganda opportunity such as this.
this reminds me of snake island
I think this is going to be the same kind of story as that
Remind me, that was actually Ukrainian jets doing the bombing?
why would Russians bomb their own island and their soldiers?
Yes, the HUD overlay is from a Bayraktar
there are two clips of bombing runs, one is from ukies and one is from ruskies. you can tell them apart due to the russians missing the island completely with most of the bombs
Yeah, something about the reaction is iffy.the thing with bad liars is that they sometimes overreact when their "truth" is challenged.I dont think that ziggers usually care that much about a single cargo plane and they certainly didn't react like this when the ukie's hit those landing ships etc.
There wasn't this much seethe when they lost an A50. Idk what was on the plane but it certainly wasn't 60 PoWs. Also that number has shifted up to 65 which is just plain odd.
Bane?
>The ziggers are having a mental breakdown over this, like they did when the Cube was first spawned, so SOMETHING important was on that plane, we just don't know what yet.
the weekly cum delivery to serbia...
Truly a humanitarian crisis of biblical proportions.
Saved
Now just need the ocean draining gif
LMAO the writer must have been real familiar with Russian writting and especially how USSR and now Russian propaganda was written judging by the language.
Where Ukrainian POWs?
There is one of them in the wreckage
Dressed in orange like a Russian Aircrewmen?
Dressed like a crewman?
https://www.gettyimages.com/photos/mh17-bodies
This is how it would look if it was carrying a bunch of people.
Notice how it doesn't?
Did they shoot him first?
I wonder why they'd do that.
He was a big guy for us.
D-Dr. Pavel??
>the fire rises
It’s up to 80 POWs now. The number keeps going up, gonna be 100 soon. No you may not see them, at least until Russia kills 100 to put on the wreckage
They need time to die and be scattered into the field please understand.
Based on the media blitz, I am convinced Shoigu was on it.
Interesting, that would explain why the zigger nest is abuzz. Do you have a link to this you can share?
Nah. That would be too funny.
Speaking of which, have there been any signs of Gerasimov being alive recently?
>Gerasimov
He went missing after the A-50 got shot down right?
No, he hasn't been seen since a missile strike in Crimea a few weeks before, where he was allegedly killed
Same week, different event. He potentially got got by the missile strike in crimea that took out a bunch of high ranking officers.
I'm willing to bet he just got wounded, possibly for the first time.
>possibly for the first time.
He's been wounded in a HIMARS strike before.
Wasn't he the one that lost his dick? or was that another one
The one who lost his dick was this Mafia motherfricker who was robbing the RU space agency. Its thought that Gerasimov possibly lost his foot in 2022.
>Mafia motherfricker who was robbing the RU space agency
Rogozin?
I think so yes. He got shelled in Donetsk.
Yeah he got a shrapnel of CESAR arty in his dick and wrote an angry letter to Macron.
looks at all those bodies
Gorbachev's Krokodil
morons OP copy pasted the question from another thread and framed it about the recent shootdown
>Russia ALWAYS lies
>but this time they're telling the truth
To be honest, it's nice that people are taking this seriously. Shows they're not disillusioned. But Russia almost always lies.
They lied again.
They'll just deflect and say he just meant the pilots.
Lol Africans are always doing moronic shit and embarrassing Russia haha. I wish I could recall the prior time something like this happened, it was funny.
>sincere condolences for the death of Russian soldiers for of the crash il-76- the president of chad during a meeting with Putin
So this is an example of the fabled "Chad move" I see being talked about so much on PrepHole?
It was taking off and at very low altitude when it was shot down. The flight crew probably hadn't even finished the full take-off sequence. If they even had any alarms already on and if sensors would even function correctly during take-off, the chances to drop countermeasures would have been near-zero.
Pretty much everything you suggested is moronic, like a ten year old trying to grasp and explain what's going on here from watching a G I Joe cartoon.
You motherfricker.
Snake Island ark was best so far.
>Plane must have a sophisticated ECM suite
Was listed as a "nice to have" feature, so no
Comrade yuo are of russian air force now. Be happy if plane has all engines of working and full allotment of fuel. Worry about countermeasures comes after worry for plane getting into the air.
>be a massive target that can't maneuver
>no jink, no zigzag
>flares don't affect radar guided missiles
>jamming won't work when the missile is close
>has no tail turret
>?
>diving woin't help you when the missile is close, not in this thing
>?
>I think only the flight crew can even eject, everyone else dies
Yeah, OP needs to lay off the video games for a while.
Do even know how many IL-76s russia has working
>Google says 140
But that just seems like they're taking it straight from USSR days
Well, 139 now.
>sophisticated ECM suite
>Russia
Does it truly go BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEEEP in the wienerpit when they have a missile locked on to you or is that just a movies thing?
Depends on the system. Some do, whilst others will just beep the once to notify you.
>Comrade, it's a cargo plane! Just pull the fuse, why would they need a radar warning receiver
>Mark it as fixed on the logbook and let's go drink vodka
old pic
Damn, the /misc/trannies are really desperate to push the POW narrative.
What was in that plane? Year's worth of Russian cum rations bound for Serbia?
post the updated version
why do they get out of the plane? and not in the plane if this is the plane
That's a hohol plane
That's a group of Ukrainian POWs being exchanged in September
Just got your thread pruned, but still trying to spread the brand new lie of the day?
https://desuarchive.org/k/thread/60753298/
>What sort of defenses does an IL-76 have?
Oh yes, once an IL-76 gets a lock it does the most traditional thing a Russian can do: Get fricked and die.
>Ria Novosti news agency said another nine people were on the plane, including six crew.
>Ukraine's general staff, quoted by the Ukrainska Pravda website, said initially that the plane was transporting missiles for Russia's S-300 air defence systems. It made no mention of prisoners of war.
why are you moronic, ramesh?
The plane was shot down by Russian MANPAD
It's not even high enough to register on Ukraine radar, never mind send a missile from 200km away.
Russia says it's POWs, Ukraine says it's S-300 missiles. Both sides are liying.
>if i repeat something hard enough it will become true
troony mentality
I'm still trying to figure out if Admiral Sokolov is dead or not?
It doesn't matter. Every single claimed person killed by Ukraine is alive and Russia will do some half-arsed evidence (phonecall, recording etc) and claim he is totally alive and then everybody forgets and assume he is alive despite nobody seeing any of them since.
Well are you or not? We don’t know what you’re trying to figure out.
Where are the bodies? Just like that time russian BUK system shot down Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 back in 2014?
what is there to cope over? we have aftermath images of the crash and there is not 80 odd bodies there (65 POW, changed from 60 after a few hours, plus crew plus guards). We see a couple - all in the uniform of Russian aircrews. Where are the masses of bodies? When the civilian airliner was shot down, there were images of all the bodies and they're online right now. Why is the crash site missing the bodies? Why did the President of Chad not mention the POW's but only mentioned the Russian aircrew on board? Why is Russia going so fricking mad over this if it was a simple case of an IL-76 with POWs being shot down?
Come on man, you don't have to be le zigger xD poster to look at fricking objective reality and empirical evidence.
Beginning to think these vatBlack folk may actually be paid shills unironically. I know a lot of chuggers are delusional but the way these post, completely ignoring all evidence against what they are claiming, is just mindboggling.
Theres no way they genuinely believe that themselves and theyre way too dedicated for it just to be for (you)s
the spammer is even pretending to be different people even claiming he's some flight expert
First time?
It was exactly like this in /k/ back 2014 when they shot down MH17
Now with sound
Anon, go back and read the first thread when this happened, it had a WebM of the crash as the OP image. You can see when the shill farm shows up.
What I don't get is why they still target /k/ after two years without notable success.
This place (somehow) has enough influence as an OSINT aggregator to not be allowed to exist completely unmolested.
The fact that their methodichka fails to take root here ironically enough proves the need for it to be spammed here
Because they're not targeting people who use /k/ a lot and know about the likes of Armatard; they're here to get the people who are clueless/interested. The people who come here. This is how arguments work. People very rarely argue with people of the opposite side (lets say left wing vs right wing) because they hope to change the mind of the guy they're arguing with - they're arguing because they want to get the mind of the 'undecided' onto theirs. It's like shaking a guy sitting on a fence. You want him to fall to YOUR side, you're not trying to get the other guy shaking the fence on the OTHER side to come to yours because he is very unlikely to.
That's why they're here. They're here to trick the unsure. Besides, simply throwing in doubt is often enough and people will pick it up and carry it. It's why the proof of Sokolov is enough. It's enough to say he is alive - the fact he hasn't been seen since September 2023 (or at least claimed to be him) - is enough. His wikipedia page will cite he is alive and that is pretty much as far as 99% of people will go. The fact he is missing for months and that is odd for a guy claimed to be killed is ignored. Point being, Russia and shills does enough to doubt and to make sure sites like Wiki say he is alive.
The real reason is that PrepHole has enough Russian-speaking users that they target it because they see it as a way to disinform and shape Russian speakers, not so much westerners. It's why their propaganda is somewhat weird and more specific, specially here on /k/.
40k rubbles/mo won't earn themselves
The boss ordered to spam on PrepHole, and who are they to argue with the boss?
How much is 45k rubles in United States $dollars?
'Bout tree fiddy.
>Theres no way they genuinely believe that themselves and theyre way too dedicated for it just to be for (you)s
didnt you pay attention during pringles great prankening. For two whole days zigger activity dropped to almost zero. Even on fricking /misc/ of all places. Then when the new narrative formed the bots, both scripted and biological, came back in full force
ziggerism is artificial as frick
Reminder that uncle Pringles was one of the main responsibles for the shill farms, something he eventually admitted to while in Bakhmut.
Can someone just post a geolocation of the plane and it’s heading so we can all put this mega Black person chugoid sperging to rest ?
>Can someone just post a geolocation of the plane and it’s heading so we can all put this mega Black person chugoid sperging to rest ?
Someone posted this in the other thread.
TLDR. Geolocated landmarks from the video suggests the plane was traveling North East away from Belogrod and further into Russia.
At the risk of helping the vatniks, I'm not sure how much stock I would put in the heading a plane that's lost so much altitude and control at that point. It looks like it's in an continued bank even in the image posted, so it could have been spiraling it's way down after losing control surfaces or trying to pull out of a spin after being hit.
You can extrapolate heading from the missile explosion smoke and the crash site.
The point is that the crash site might have no bearing on the way the plane was initially headed since a loss of control in altitude can easily come with a loss in control of heading as you try to regain control.
lol cope you can see the missile hit right next to the crash site
But the explosion of the SAM was not very far away, there is a smoke cloud still dispersing in the sky caught on video and you could just trace a straight line between the smoke puff and the crash site to get the heading.
So you're saying that it crashed almost directly downwards instead of continuing on it's flight axis? You do understand how that might relate to a spin where the plane is going to be making circles as it tries to regain altitude control, instead of the normal forward flight where extrapolation would actually be useful.
No you spastic I’m saying it got hit then rapidly lost altitude while MOSTLY maintaining heading. It did not spin out until very late when it was almost smashing into the ground.
Still no photos of those dead POWs?
Of course there are!
They just go to another school is all
no need, puccia will come up with new lie tomorrow
*a new embarrassment
ftfy
When it got hit by the missile shouldn't it have been able to just glided forward with it's airspeed and make a rough landing? Do you think the wienerpit crew were maybe killed by the missile hit and that is why they ran into that issue?
>When it got hit by the missile shouldn't it have been able to just glided forward with it's airspeed and make a rough landing?
what happens in movies isn't real
That's basically what the IL-22's first officer did, anon. Guess this time the damage was too extensive for that, though.
By the looks of it the engines snapped off the wings before it hit the ground.
Hmm. This might suggest that a really big cargo bird like that might have also been laden with cargo? If the superstructure or ... well, any local stress points too. Something about the wings or the way they attach may have been damaged (probably was) and those became immediate failure points. Remember, this plane was still ascending from take off, engines were probably also fairly rev'd up.
>the strength of the engines at full throttle, literally, ripped the wings off the main hull
Could'a happened to anybody.
Flares and prayers. That’s literally it.
> Ejector seats on a cargo jet
Maybe on a test vehicle, but the pilot punching out and leaving everyone else behind to die is considered bad form.
But why would only pilot could eject?
